Networks form an integral part of our daily lives, comprising structures known as nodes connected via ties. These networks exhibit a complex interplay of random and structured features. We encounter networks regularly in our daily activities, whether it is logging into websites, commuting by train, going to work, or attending school. Networks are prevalent in various academic disciplines and practical applications, spanning biology, physics, engineering, social science, and numerous other fields. The early 21st century has witnessed a rapid expansion of techniques facilitating human interaction, significantly impacting behavior and social bonding in both urban and rural settings. The availability and accessibility of extensive population datasets have spurred ongoing research into understanding and shaping human inclinations and sociological phenomena in unconventional ways. This review delves into the nuanced aspects of social physics, exploring the rationale behind choosing this research topic, various conceptual frameworks, categorizations, and distinctions between machine learning and deep learning. The article briefly outlines the advantages of leveraging big data in social physics, highlighting its transformative potential. Lastly, the authors provide insights into several applications of social physics in subsequent sections, offering a glimpse into its real-world implications.

补偿交易是指一国政府利用采购计划要求中标的外国货物、工程和服务供应商,必须给予必要的补偿,具体形式有,规定购买国内产品的比率、转移技术、在国内投资、协助本地产品外销或其他类似条件等。目前,全球许多国家和地区皆有类似的做法,特别在军事、高科技与航天工业等采购领域均被广泛运用。补偿交易作为政府采购中的一项重要制度,能有效提升国内产业技术,降低对外的长期依赖,并确保国内生产力的提高。随着我国加入《政府采购协定》的日程日益紧迫,利用政府采购手段保护国内产业的力度逐步弱化,在这种背景下,加强对补偿交易及相关制度的了解,以及对其他国家和地区补偿交易的研究和实践经验的借鉴,对于构建我国自身的补偿交易体系,从而对国内产业给予有效支持,具有重大的现实意义和参考价值。而国内关于这一主题的研究很少见到,有鉴于此,本文作者翻译了有代表性的域外研究文章两篇,供各方参考和指正。

Anticancer Activity of Rice Callus Suspension Cultures from Aromatic Varieties and Metabolites Regulated in Treated Cancer Cell Lines

Tissue culture techniques were used to produce large amounts of bioactive compounds with medicinal potential, overcoming space and time constraints for cancer prevention. Rice callus suspension cultures(RCSC) and seed extracts prepared from aromatic rice varieties were used to evaluate the cytotoxic impact on human colon and lung cancer cell lines, as well as a normal control cell line, using Taxol as a positive control. RCSC and seed extracts from two Indian aromatic rice varieties were applied at different concentrations to treat the cancer cell lines and normal lung fibroblasts over varying time intervals. Apoptosis was assessed in 1:5 dilutions of the A549 and HT-29 cell lines treated with RCSC for 72 h, using propidium iodide staining and flow cytometry. RCSC showed a more potent cytotoxic effect than seed extracts with minimal effect on the normal cell line, in contrast to Taxol. Confocal microscopy and flow cytometry further confirmed the apoptotic effect of RCSC. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry-based metabolic profiling identified metabolites involved in cytotoxicity and highlighted altered pathways. RCSC is proposed as an alternative source for the development of novel anticancer drugs with reduced side effects.

Phytochemical Estimation and Therapeutic Amelioration of Aesculus hippocastanum L. Seeds Ethanolic Extract in Gastric Ulcer in Rats Possibly by Inhibiting Prostaglandin Synthesis

Objective To quantify phytochemicals using liquid chromatography and mass spectroscopy(LCMS)analysis and explore the therapeutic effect of Aesculus hippocastanum L.(AH)seeds ethanolic extract against gastric ulcers in *** Preliminary phytochemical testing and LCMS analysis were performed according to standard *** treatment,the animals were divided into 7 groups including normal control,ulcer control,self-healing,AH seeds low and high doses,ranitidine and per se *** were orally administered with 10 mg/kg of indomethacin,excluding the normal control group(which received 1%carboxy methyl cellulose)and the per se group(received 200 mg/kg AH seeds extract).The test group rats were then given 2 doses of AH seeds extract(100 and 200 mg/kg,respectively),while the standard group was given ranitidine(50 mg/kg).On the 11th day,rats in all groups were sacrificed,and their stomach was isolated to calculate the ulcer index,and other parameters such as blood prostaglandin(PGE2),tissue superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),malonyldialdehyde(MDA),and glutathione(GSH).All isolated stomach tissues were analyzed for histopathological *** The phytochemical examination shows that the AH seeds contain alkaloids,flavonoids,saponins,phenolic components,and *** analysis confirms the presence of quercetin and *** AH seeds extract showed significant improvement in gastric mucosa conditions after indomethacin-induced gastric lesions(P<0.01).Further marked improvement in blood PGE2 and antioxidant enzymes,SOD,CAT,MDA and GSH,were observed compared with self-healing and untreated ulcer-induced groups(P<0.01).Histopathology results confirmed that AH seeds extract improved the mucosal layer and gastric epithelial membrane in treated groups compared to untreated ulcer-induced *** LCMS report confirms the presence of quercetin and rutin in AH seeds ethanolic *** therapeutic effect of AH seeds extract against indomethacin

The flower of Butea monosperma(Lam.)(Fabaceae)has been used in traditional Indian medicine in the treatment of many ailments including liver *** understand the pharmacological basis of its beneficial effects,the extracts of dried flowers in water,methanol,butanol,ethyl acetate and acetone were evaluated for free radical scavenging and pro-apoptotic activities in cell cultures(human hepatoma Huh-7 cell line and immortalized AML-12 mouse hepatocytes).Butrin and butein-the active constituents of flower extracts-were used as reference *** levels of cell injury markers like lactate dehydrogenase,glutathione and lipid peroxidation and primary antioxidant enzymes glutathione S-transferase and catalase were also *** aqueous and butanolic extracts exhibited better 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl scavenging and cytotoxic activities in hepatoma cells than in immortalized ***,butein inhibited 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical better than *** aqueous and butanolic extracts were further investigated for hepatoprotection against carbon tertrachloride-induced biochemical changes and cell *** extracts,just as butrin and butein,significantly reversed the cellular glutathione levels and lipid peroxidation,and glutathione–S-transferase *** dehydrogenase leakage and cell death were also ***,only butein revived the catalase ***,the butein content of Butea monosperma flower extracts is important for free radical scavenging activity,apoptotic cell death and protection against oxidative injury in hepatic cells.

Performance analysis of an improved dynamic power management model in wireless sensor node

The energy consumption in the wireless sensor networks is a very critical issue which attracts immediate attention for the sake of the growing demand of the billion dollar market in future. The Dynamic Power Management （DPM） technique is a way of controlling and saving the energy usage in a sensor node. Previously, researchers have proposed lifetime improving stochastic models for wireless sensor networks and limited work has been done focusing on the wireless sensor node. This paper proposes an analyser based Semi-Markov model for DPM in the event-driven sensor node. The power consumption comparison with previously proposed models without this analyser shows the analyser significant contributes to lifetime improvement. The improved model is more power efficient, presents how the DPM model observes the input event arrival and power states of the sensor node components, and then dynamically manages the power consumption of the overall system. Further, to observe the effect of event arrival, missed events, waiting time, processor utilization on the power consumption and lifetime, the proposed DPM system with the single server queuing model is developed.
