Introduction: 68Ga-PSMA-11 is considered the gold standard in detection of micro and oligometastases in advanced prostate cancer, being used for therapeutic planning, as well as, potentially, for evaluating response to treatment. The development of ready-to-use lyophilized kit of PSMA-11 adds quality and safety to the routine use of this radiopharmaceutical and represents a pharmacotechnical challenge as it must preserve the integrity and specificity of the ligand. Methods: PSMA-11 kit formulation was proposed, considering radiolabeling parameters and the preservation of the peptide during the lyophilization process, using mannitol as an excipient. Critical temperature characterization studies were carried out using DSC equipment and the freeze-drying process was developed. The direct radiolabeling conditions were evaluated and standardized using 68Ge/68Ga generator eluate from two different manufacturers (ITG and Eckert & Ziegler). The radiochemical purity was evaluated by TLC and HPLC. Biological evaluation was carried out with lyophilized PSMA-11 to demonstrate the integrity of the peptide and preservation of biological activity after the lyophilization process. Results: Based on critical temperature characterization studies, the freeze-drying cycle was designed to reach a freezing temperature of around −40˚C and primary drying at 2˚C. Using 20 mg of mannitol, an intact and elegant lyophilized cake was obtained. PSMA-11 lyophilized kit was directly labeled with 68Ga eluate from 68Ge/68Ga GMP generators (ITG and Eckert & Ziegler) resulting in % RP > 95% at pH 4.0 to 4.5. The results obtained from in vitro and in vivo biological competition studies confirmed the preservation of PSMA-11 affinity for the receptor after lyophilization. Conclusion: A lyophilized formulation (Kit) of PSMA-11 was successfully obtained, which preserved the integrity and biological activity of the peptide and guaranteed radiolabeling efficiency.

Due to growing consumption of Portland cement and high levels of CO_(2) emissions in its production process,this study examined the use of Brazilian RHS(rice husk silica)obtained by FBC(fluidized bed combustion)as an alternative material in concrete production;the principal cause is the inappropriate disposal of carbonized or in natura rice husk in southern Brazil.To analyze its feasibility,concretes made with several types of cements were examined combined with RHS,and also concretes with different strength classes employing a slag-based binder featuring a smaller amount of clinker in its composition.Mechanical and scanning electron microscopy assays were carried out to verify formation of C-S-H and calcium hydroxide in the cement pastes.This study concludes that replacing 10%of Portland cement(CEMIII/A)by 3%of RHS can result in a cost reduction of around 5%and allows a reduction of 4%in CO_(2)eq levels.In this way,RHS from renewable sources can be a highly impactful sustainable alternative in civil engineering work,allowing the concrete industry to produce environmentally-sound concrete mixtures with lower CO_(2) emissions.

OBJECTIVE To summarize the most relevant data from a systematic review on the impact of COVID-19 on children and adolescents,particularly analyzing its psychiatric effects.METHODS This review was conducted according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses(PRISMA)guidelines and included experimental studies(randomized-individually or pooled-and non-randomized controlled trials),observational studies with a group for internal comparison(cohort studies-prospective and retrospective-and case-control)and qualitative studies in the period from 2021 to 2022.RESULTS The search identified 325 articles;we removed 125 duplicates.We selected 200 manuscripts,chosen by title and selected abstracts.We excluded 50 records after screening titles and abstracts,as they did not meet the inclusion criteria.We retrieved 150 records selected for a full reading.We excluded 90 text articles and we selected 25 records for the(n)final.Limitations:Due to the short period of data collection,from 2021 to 2022,there is a possibility of lack of relevant studies related to the mental health care of children and adolescents.In addition,there is the possibility of publication bias,such as only significant findings being published.CONCLUSION The impact of COVID-19 on the mental health of children and adolescents is of great concern to child and youth psychiatry.Situations such as fear,anxiety,panic,depression,sleep and appetite disorders,as well as impairment in social interactions caused by psychic stress,are punctual markers of pain and psychic suffering,which have increasing impacts on the mental health panorama of children and adolescents globally,particularly in vulnerable and socially at-risk populations.

High Frequency of Antiviral Resistance Mutations in HBV Genotypes A2 and H: Multidrug Resistance Strains in Mexico

Background and Aims:Lamivudine(3TC),telbivudine(LdT),entecavir(ETV),adefovir(ADF),and tenofovir(TFV)are drugs used to treat hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection,but specific mutations allow some viruses to become resistant to antiviral drugs or to acquire immune escape capacities.These mutations have not been thoroughly investigated in Mexico.This study aimed to estimate the prevalence of HBV antiviral resistance and escape mutations.Methods:This cross-sectional study analyzed 158 samples.HBV DNA was extracted,amplified,and sequenced in serum samples using the spin column method,PCR assay,and Sanger’s sequencing,respectively.HBV genotypes were determined,and HBV mutations were tested using the Geno2pheno tool.Results:Overall,68.4%(108/158)of HBV patients were infected with genotype H,followed by G(11.4%,18/158),A2(10.8%,17/158),F1b(6.9.0%,11/158),D(1.9%,3/158),and E(0.6%,1/158),and 5.1%(8/158)had evidence of recombination.The prevalence of resistance mutations was 8.2%(13/158)and the most common combined mutation was rt180M+rt204V.Notably,we found the combinations rt180M+rt204V+rt173L(n=2)and rt180M+rt204V+rt202G(n=1)that confer multidrug resistance to 3TC,LdT,and ETV.Resistance mutations were found in genotypes A2(11.8%,2/17),and H(10.2%,11/108),and escape mutations were detected in HBV genotypes A2(11.8%,2/17),H(10.2%,11/108),F1b(9.1%,1/11)and G(5.6%,1/18).Conclusions:The highest prevalence of antiviral resistance mutations or escape mutations was detected in HBV genotypes A2 and H.The earliest cases of HBV multidrug resistance were detected in Mexico.

目的目前研究发现锻炼能增强健康人血液中脑源性神经营养因子(BDNF)的水平。BDNF水平的改变常发现于耐力运动而非力量锻炼。本研究旨在探讨厌氧型活动(如短跑)是否能改变人血浆中BDNF的浓度。方法对22名巴西100米短跑运动员,包括14名过去4年间参加过国际级奥林匹克及户外世锦赛的运动员(国际级)和8名只参加过本国比赛的运动员(国内级),以及15名此前从未参加过任何运动比赛的健康对照人群,用ELISA法检测其血浆中BDNF的水平。结果与对照组相比,国际级和国内级短跑运动员血浆中BDNF的水平均显著升高。此外,国际级短跑运动员血浆中BDNF的水平显著高于国内级运动员。结论血浆中BDNF水平的升高可能与运动加强有关。

Euborellia annulipes Mortality and Predation on Diatraea saccharalis Eggs after Application of Chemical and Biological Insecticides

Chemical and biological insecticides have been frequently used in sugarcane fields to control insects-pests, including the sugarcane borer, Diatraea saccharalis. Among the products used, those based on chlorantraniliprole and Metarhizium anisopliae entomopathogenic fungus, stand out. Euborellia annulipes is an insect of the order Dermaptera considered a potential predator of sugarcane borer eggs. This study aimed to evaluate the direct and indirect effects of the bioinsecticide based on M. anisopliae (Metarril®) and the chemical insecticide chlorantraniliprole (Altacor®) on the mortality of E. annulipes nymphs and adults, the predation and feeding preference of earwigs in eggs treated with the formulated products. Predator mortality was evaluated for seven days after treatment, while the effect on predation was analyzed by preference tests with and without choice, using prey eggs. The products tested were selective to the predator, causing ≤ 2% mortality and not affecting predation. The application of M. anisopliae on sugarcane borer eggs favored the food preference of fourth-instar nymphs, males, and females of the predator. Our results show that Metarril® and Altacor® can be used to control D. saccharalis when associated with the predator E. annulipes.

BACKGROUND Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)can lead to social and economic impacts worldwide.In Brazil,where its adult prevalence is increasing,the epidemiology of the pediatric population is not well known,although there is a documented increase in pediatric IBD incidence worldwide.Brazil has continental dimensions,and Espírito Santo is a state of southeastern Brazil,the region with the highest demographic densities and is the economically most important in the country.AIM To assess the prevalence,incidence,phenotype and medications in a Southeastern Brazilian pediatric population.METHODS Data were retrieved from the Public Medication-Dispensing System of the Department of Health in Espírito Santo state from documentation required to have access to highly expensive medication from August 1,2012 to July 31,2014.There were 1048 registered patients with IBD of all ages,and of these patients,the cases≤17 years were selected.The data were obtained through the analysis of administrative requests for these medications and included medical reports,endoscopy exams,histopathology and imaging tests,which followed the Clinical Protocols and Therapeutic Guidelines of the Brazilian Government.Only confirmed cases of IBD were included in the study.RESULTS There were 55 pediatric patients/1048 registered patients(5.34%),with Crohn's disease(CD)representing 30/55(55%),ulcerative colitis(UC)24/55(43.6%)and 1 unclassified IBD,a significant difference from adult patients(P=0.004).The prevalence of IBD in pediatric patients was 5.02 cases/100.000 inhabitants;the incidence in 2014 was 1.36 cases/100.000 inhabitants.The mean age at diagnosis was 12.2 years(±4.2).There were 7 children diagnosed up to 6 years old,7 between 7 to 10 years old and 41 between 11 and≤17 years old.There was no difference in the distribution of UC and CD between these age categories(P=0.743).There was no difference in gender distribution in relation to adults.Children and adolescents with UC had a predominance of pancolitis,unlike adults(P=0.001),and used amino

The health benefits and sensing applications of curcumin-based systems depend on their prevailing photophysical and chemi-cal properties at a specific environment-the characteristic low solubility of curcumin in water hinders high-dosage based applications.To circumvent this drawback,curcumin has been incorporated in hydrophobic environments in nanoscale.Herein,electrospun fibers of Eudragit L100 were loaded with curcumin and applied in fluorescence and antibacterial assays to evaluate prevailing physical and chemical properties in solid-state.The characteristic high loading degree of curcumin(250 mg/mL in Eudragit L100 solution)preserves not only the photophysical properties of molecules(such as the intrinsic fluorescence)but also the antibacterial activity of released molecules from electrospun fibers,characterizing an important strategy for improvement in the applicability potential of natural materials.

This paper compares the satisfaction of users of residential buildings produced by two construction processes considered as industrialized:“prefabricated masonry panels”and“reinforced concrete walls molded on site”and compared with“conventional process”(structural masonry of concrete blocks).The premise of the study was to diagnose the level of acceptance of the buildings considered industrialized by the Brazilian population,aiming to assess whether the preference for the systems considered“conventional”and the rejection of the“industrialized”is decreasing in Brazil.This article concerns the results obtained in the second phase of the research,which was carried out after five years of the first phase.So,if the buildings were considered new in the first phase,this second research was carried out after the depreciation due to the action of time.To quantify the“degree of satisfaction”the same checklist of the first survey was applied,in the same neighborhood and the sum attributed to each answer made by residents was applied and,as a result,it was possible to ascertain the oscillations in it and to confirm the satisfactory acceptance of industrialized construction systems and a tendency to reduce rejection by the population in relation to the innovative construction systems.
