In most f.rming systems newly introduced commercial f.rtilizers to be accepted, adopted and used by f.rmers, their ef.ectiveness and appropriate application rates must be exhibited. This study was conducted to validate the ef.ect and rates of.a bio-f.rtilizer (super agric) on oil palm seedling growth. The trial was laid out in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three application rates of.0, 4 and 8 ml/L of.water (treatments) replicated thrice. f.llowing the application of.super agric to oil palm seedlings f.r a period of.six months, observations drawn f.om the analysis of.growth data were as f.llows: Three months af.er treatment, super agric signif.cantly (P f.oil palm seedling compared to those which were not applied with super agric. The results also showed that when super agric was applied at a rate of.4 ml/L, the leaf.length and breadth were higher compared to the control were super agric was not used. f.rthermore, applications of.super agric improved oil palm seedling nitrogen uptake by 31% in treatment groups as compared to the control which explained the height and breadth increase in the oil palm seedlings that were applied with super agric. On the other hand, the ef.ect of.super agric application on phosphorus uptake by seedlings was not signif.cant. Although the height, breadth, leaf.width and length were all signif.cantly af.ected by super agric application, the number of.oil palm leaves and spears were not af.ected f.r the period the experiment was conducted. Six months af.er application of.super agric the growth of.oil palm seedlings was f.vorably impacted, hence we recommend super agric to be promoted among oil palm seedling growers.

Heat and mass transf.r of.a circular-shaped porous moist object inside a two-dimensional triangle cavity is investigated by using f.nite element *** porous object is considered to be a moist f.od sample,located in the middle of.the cavity with inlet and outlet ports with dif.erent conf.gurations of.inlet/outlet *** drying perf.rmance is numerically assessed f.r dif.erent values of.Reynolds numbers(between 50 and 250),dry air inlet temperature(between 40 and 80℃)and dif.erent locations of.the *** is observed that changing the port locations has signif.cant impacts on the f.ow recirculaitons inside the triangular chamber while convective drying perf.rmance is highly *** moisture content reduces with longer time and f.r higher Reynolds number(Re)*** P4 where inlet and outlet ports are in the middle of.the walls provides the most ef.ective conf.guration in terms of.convective drying perf.rmance while the worst case is seen f.r P1 case where inlet and outlet are closer to the corners of.the *** is a 192% dif.erence between the moisture reduction of.these two cases at Re=250,T=80℃ and t=120 min.

HACEK organisms represent a rare but important group of.causative pathogens in endocarditis. These bacteria have historically been associated with culture-negative endocarditis;however, modern laboratory techniques have made this less common. In this case, we present a 74-year-old man who presented with acute onset altered mentation, f.ver, and sepsis. He was ultimately f.und to have Haemophilus inf.uenzae meningitis, cerebral empyema, aortic valve endocarditis, psoas myositis, and L2 - L3 diskitis with osteomyelitis. Although HACEK organisms are commonly f.und in the oropharynx and upper respiratory tract in humans, our patient did not report recent preceding dental or ENT procedures. H. inf.uenzae is responsible f.r approximately 0.16% of.all cases of.bacterial endocarditis, representing a very limited subset. Although generally considered low virulent pathogens, this case demonstrates the unusual extent of.inf.ction f.om a HACEK organism, H. inf.uenzae, causing aortic valve endocarditis as well as atypical non-cardiac sequelae, including acute meningitis.

Today, in the f.eld of.computer networks, new services have been developed on the Internet or intranets, including the mail server, database management, sounds, videos and the web server itself.Apache. The number of.solutions f.r this server is theref.re growing continuously, these services are becoming more and more complex and expensive, without being able to f.lf.ll the needs of.the users. The absence of.benchmarks f.r websites with dynamic content is the major obstacle to research in this area. These users place high demands on the speed of.access to inf.rmation on the Internet. This is why the perf.rmance of.the web server is critically important. Several f.ctors inf.uence perf.rmance, such as server execution speed, network saturation on the internet or intranet, increased response time, and throughputs. By measuring these f.ctors, we propose a perf.rmance evaluation strategy f.r servers that allows us to determine the actual perf.rmance of.dif.erent servers in terms of.user satisf.ction. f.rthermore, we identif.ed perf.rmance characteristics such as throughput, resource utilization, and response time of.a system through measurement and modeling by simulation. f.nally, we present a simple queue model of.an Apache web server, which reasonably represents the behavior of.a saturated web server using the Simulink model in Matlab (Matrix Laboratory) and also incorporates sporadic incoming traf.ic. We obtain server perf.rmance metrics such as average response time and throughput through simulations. Compared to other models, our model is conceptually straightf.rward. The model has been validated through measurements and simulations during the tests that we conducted.

In a recent study published in Nature,York and coworkers identif.ed the immunometabolic regulation of.mono-unsaturated f.tty acid(MUf.)pools and the subsequent increase in sphingolipid biosynthesis in TLR2-activated macrophages as an important link between impaired IL-10 signaling and the development of.intestinal inf.ammation.1 Thus,targeted interf.rence with the newly identif.ed IL-10/MUf./sphingolipid axis appears as a promising strategy to restore immunometabolic homeostasis in the intestine of.patients with inf.ammatory bowel diseases(IBD).

The etiological f.ctors contributing to depression and other neuropsychiatric disorders are largely undef.ned. Endoplasmic reticulum stress pathways and autophagy are well-def.ned mechanisms that play critical f.nctions in recognizing and resolving cellular stress and are possible targets f.r the pathophysiology and treatment of.psychiatric and neurologic illnesses. An increasing number of.studies indicate the involvement of.endoplasmic reticulum stress and autophagy in the control of.neuroinf.ammation, a contributing f.ctor to multiple neuropsychiatric illnesses. Initial inf.ammatory triggers induce endoplasmic reticulum stress, leading to neuroinf.ammatory responses. Subsequently, induction of.autophagy by neurosteroids and other signaling pathways that converge on autophagy induction are thought to participate in resolving neuroinf.ammation. The aim of.this review is to summarize our current understanding of.the molecular mechanisms governing the induction of.endoplasmic reticulum stress, autophagy, and neuroinf.ammation in the central nervous system. Studies f.cused on innate immune f.ctors, including neurosteroids with anti-inf.ammatory roles will be reviewed. In the context of.depression, animal models that led to our current understanding of.molecular mechanisms underlying depression will be highlighted, including the roles of.sigma 1 receptors and pharmacological agents that dampen endoplasmic reticulum stress and associated neuroinf.ammation.

Competency-based assessments f.r healthcare prof.ssionals are critical f.r saf. and ef.ective client outcomes. Rehabilitation clinical skill competency assessments must be validated and revised to produce saf. and skilled practitioners. The revised American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) f.eldwork Perf.rmance Evaluation (f.PE) instrument measures occupational therapy student perf.rmance to determine readiness f.r practice. The assessment includes thirty-seven competencies that address both prof.ssion specif.c clinical skills and general prof.ssional behavior skills. The objective of.this study was to use Rasch methods to explore the use of.the revised f.PE in actual f.eldwork practice and to determine the instrument’s psychometric properties when separating the item components into two distinct subdomains: General Health Prof.ssions Competences and Occupational Therapy-Specif.c Competencies. Internal construct validity and test reliability were analyzed using data f.om 149 occupational therapy students af.er completing their initial Level II A f.eldwork clinical internship. This study examined the item dif.iculty hierarchy, item f.t, person-f.t to model, person separation index, person separation reliability coef.icient, strata, ceiling and f.oor ef.ect, and unidimensionality of.the f.PE instrument as a whole and as two separate domains. With the exception of.not meeting the criteria f.r unidimensionality, the f.ll f.PE instrument and the Occupational Therapy-Specif.c Competencies subdomain showed acceptable item-level psychometrics f.r reliability and precision. While the General Health Prof.ssions Competencies subdomain showed good item-level psychometrics, it was below the criterion f.r reliability and only separated the sample into two strata. Results support the validity, reliability, and clinical use of.the revised f.PE f.ll instrument and the Occupational Therapy-Specif.c Competencies subdomain to measure entry-level clinical skill competencies in pr

This study ref.ects on the impact that the neighborhoods’in-between spaces have on:spatial perception,social interaction,and *** sites,characterized by their abandonment and deterioration,can also be seen as crucial spaces of.opportunity f.r cities,in the architectural,urban and landscape *** paper aims to analyze the sociospatial relationships in the neighborhoods’in-between spaces and examine the impact of.inbetween space conf.guration on urban *** investigation draws on a survey of.perception to residents about the requirements f.r a suitable social interaction in these *** study was developed in a neighborhood in the city periphery,characterized by their social dynamics and location in a nature conservation *** f.ndings indicate that the appropriation process,activities,and collective practices are dependent on the spatial legibility,in this case when this increases,gives rise to improve the habitability and the rehabilitation of.the in-between ***,the lack of.design on in-between spaces substantially af.ects the use of.these spaces and the social interaction among residents.
