Campus security has aroused many concerns from the whole *** is one of the most frequent and influential accidents in *** on pedestrian dynamics especially focusing on students are essential for campus security,which are helpful to improve facility design and emergency evacuation *** this paper,primary and middle school students were recruited to participate in the single-file *** microscopic movement characteristics,including walking speed,headway,gait characteristics(step length,step frequency and swaying amplitude)and their relations were *** and gender differences in the headway-speed diagram and space requirements were analyzed by statistical *** results indicated that the impacts of age and gender were *** were three stages for the influence of gender on the headway-speed diagram for both age *** impacts on students'space requirements were consistent for different age and gender *** the impacts of age and gender on free-flow speed were affected by each *** to the connection of walking speed and gait characteristics,the comparisons of gait characteristics between different ages and genders were performed to understand the corresponding differences in speed more *** results showed that differences in step length and swaying amplitude between males and females were significant for both age *** effect of gender on step frequency was significant for primary *** for middle school students,whether gender had significant impact on step frequency was not clear here because of the large ***,the influence of age on gait characteristics changed with gender.

Gastric leaks post sleeve gastrectomy:Review of its prevention and management

Gastric sleeve gastrectomy has become a frequent bariatric procedure. Its apparent simplicity hides a number of serious,sometimes fatal,complications. This is more important in the absence of an internationally adopted algorithm for the management of the leaks complicating this operation. The debates exist even regarding the definition of a leak,with several classification systems that can be used to predict the cause of the leak,and also to determine the treatment plan. Causes of leak are classified as mechanical,technical and ischemic causes. After defining the possible causes,authors went into suggesting a number of preventive measures to decrease the leak rate,including gentle handling of tissues,staple line reinforcement,larger bougie size and routine use of methylene blue test per operatively. In our review,we noticed that the most important clinical sign or symptom in patients with gastric leaks are fever and tachycardia,which mandate the use of an abdominal computed tomography,associated with an upper gastrointrstinal series and/or gastroscopy if no leak was detected. After diagnosis,the management of leak depends mainly on the clinical condition of the patient and the onset time of leak. It varies between prompt surgical intervention in unstable patients and conservative management in stable ones in whom leaks present lately. The management options include also endoscopic interventions with closure techniques or more commonly exclusion techniques with an endoprosthesis. The aim of this review was to highlight the causes and thus the prevention modalities and find a standardized algorithm to deal with gastric leaks post sleeve gastrectomy.

This paper introduces a video application-aware cross-layer framework for joint performance-energy optimization,considering the scenario of multiple users upstreaming real-time Motion JPEG2000 video streams to the access point of a WiFi wireless local area network and extends the PHY-MAC run-time cross-layer scheduling strategy that we introduced in (Mangharam et al., 2005; Pollin et al., 2005) to also consider congested network situations where video packets have to be dropped. We show that an optimal solution at PHY-MAC level can be highly suboptimal at application level, and then show that making the cross-layer framework application-aware through a prioritized dropping policy capitalizing on the inherent scalability of Motion JPEG2000 video streams leads to drastic average video quality improvements and inter-user quality variation reductions of as much as 10 dB PSNR, without affecting the overall energy consumption requirements.

In this paper, we explain why the chaotic mutation （CM） model of J. M. Bahi and C. Michel （2008） simulates the genes mutations over time with good accuracy. It is firstly shown that the CM model is a truly chaotic one, as it is defined by Devaney. Then, it is established that mutations occurring in genes mutations have indeed a same chaotic dynamic, thus making relevant the use of chaotic models for genomes evolution. Transposition and inversion dynamics are finally investigated.

Face recognition is an important interdisciplinary subject which includes pattern recognition, computer vision, image processing and other fields. Face recognition has been widely used in real life because of its objective uniqueness. The study of multifunctional face recognition system can promote the development of face recognition in a certain degree. The key to improving face recognition performance is to collect massive labeled face dataset, construct discriminative face feature, and learn robust *** learning is one of the most important branches of machine learning, which attempts to extract high-level features from multiple layers such as convolutional layers and pooling layers. So far there have been kinds of deep neural networks:convolutional neural network, deep belief network, recurrent neural network, which have been applied to computer vision, speech recognition, natural language processing and other fields. With the outstanding performance of Deep learning, more and more researchers have begun to use the deep neural network （especially the deep convolution neural network） to deal with face recognition and face *** on the deep convolutional neural network, we propose a novel multi-task convolutional neural network （MTCNN） to build robust attribute *** order to reduce overfitting, we implement data augmentation to increase dataset manually. For model design, we put forward two ideas. Firstly, we treat attribute prediction as a regression task and employ Euclidean loss to optimize our ***,attribute prediction is taken as binary classification and we apply stochastic gradient descent （SGD） to minimize Cross Entropy Loss. We do extensive experiments to evaluate accuracy of 8 facial attributes. In average, attribute accuracy of our method can reach 96%.

Mg anode interface engineering in KNO_(3) electrolyte with sodium 5-sulfosalicylate as an additive for enhanced performance of Mg-air batteries

The Mg-air batteries face limitations with pronounced hydrogen evolution and low anodic utilization efficiency from Mg anodes in conventional NaCl *** corrosion performance,surface composition,and discharge properties of commercial purity Mg anodes were thoroughly investigated in KNO_(3)electrolytes with and without sodium 5-sulfosalicylate and compared to NaCl *** addition of sodium 5-sulfosalicylate to KNO_(3)-based electrolyte results in efficient inhibition of H_(2)evolution,consequently enhancing anodic utilization efficiency to 84%and specific capacity to 1844 mAh/g,compared to NaCl(24%and 534 mAh/g,respectively)under discharge condition of 10 mA/cm^(2)in half ***,the chelating ability of sodium 5-sulfosalicylate can significantly improve the Mg surface dissolution kinetics and discharge product deposition rate at the Mg anode/electrolyte interface,yielding formation of a thinner discharge layer as confirmed by time-of-flight secondary ion mass *** discharge voltage is increased to 1.60 V,compared to 1.35 V in KNO_(3)at 0.5 mA/cm^(2)in full ***,higher concentration of sodium 5-sulfosalicylate can accelerate Mg anode dissolution,impeding the improvement of anodic utilization efficiency,specific capacity,and energy ***,determining optimal additive concentration and current density is crucial for enhancing the discharge properties of Mg-air batteries and mitigating excessive Mg dissolution in chloride-free electrolytes.

Insights on the solubilization products after combined alkaline and ultrasonic pre-treatment of sewage sludge

This work provides insights on the solubilization products after a simultaneous combination of alkaline and ultrasonic （ALK ＋ ULS） pre-treatment of sewage sludge. Soluble chemical oxygen demand （SCOD） increased from 1200 to 11,000 mg/L after such treatment. Organics with molecular weight around 5.6 kDa were solubilized because of the synergistic effect of ultrasound and alkali. Organics with molecular weight larger than 300 kDa increased from 7.8% to 60%, 16% and 42.3% after ULS, ALK and ALK ＋ ULS treatment, respectively. Excitation emission matrix fluorescence spectroscopy analysis identified soluble microbial product-like and humic acid-like matters as the main solubilization products. Sludge anaerobic biodegradability was significantly enhanced with the simultaneous application of ALK ＋ ULS pre-treatment. ALK ＋ ULS pre-treatment resulted in 37.8% biodegradability increase compared to the untreated sludge. This value was higher compared to the biodegradability increase induced by individual ALK pre-treatment （5.7%） or individual ULS pre-treatment （20.7%） under the same conditions applied.

High-fidelity optical diffraction tomography of multiple scattering samples

We propose an iterative reconstruction scheme for optical diffraction tomography that exploits the split-step nonparaxial(SSNP)method as the forward model in a learning tomography *** with the beam propagation method(BPM)previously used in learning tomography(LT-BPM),the improved accuracy of SSNP maximizes the information retrieved from measurements,relying less on prior assumptions about the sample.A rigorous evaluation of learning tomography based on SSNP(LT-SSNP)using both synthetic and experimental measurements confirms its superior performance compared with that of the *** from the accuracy of SSNP,LT-SSNP can clearly resolve structures that are highly distorted in the LT-BPM.A serious limitation for quantifying the reconstruction accuracy for biological samples is that the ground truth is *** overcome this limitation,we describe a novel method that allows us to compare the performances of different reconstruction schemes by using the discrete dipole approximation to generate synthetic ***,we explore the capacity of learning approaches to enable data compression by reducing the number of scanning angles,which is of particular interest in minimizing the measurement time.

Background:Repaired Tetralogy of Fallot(rTOF)patients may have residual lesions such as main(MPA)and branch pulmonary artery stenosis(BPAS).While MPA stenosis is well studied,few data are available on BPAS in *** aimed to describe pulmonary perfusion in a large paediatric cohort of rTOF and its impact on right ventricular and outflow-tract hemodynamics using 4D flow ***:130 consecutive patients(mean age at CMR 14.3±4.6 years)were retrospectively reviewed.96 patients had transannular patch without valve preservation while 34 patients had conserved annulus or valved conduit.A pulmonary blood flow ratio(right pulmonary artery(RPA)/left pulmonary artery(LPA))between 0.75 and 1.56 was considered ***:Asymmetric pulmonary perfusion was present in 59/130 patients(45%),with 54/59(91%)having left lung hypoperfusion(blood flow ratio>1.56).RPA/LPA perfusion ratio in the whole cohort was independently associated with the LPA Z-score(−0.053,p=0.007),the RPA regurgitant fraction(RF)(0.013,p=0.011)and previous LPA stenting(0.648,p=0.004).Decreasing LPA%perfusion(and conversely increasing RPA%perfusion)was significantly associated with higher MPA diameter Z-score(−0.06,p=0.007).On multivariate analysis,MPA Z-score was independently associated with pulmonary RF(0.48,p<0.001)and with right ventricular indexed volumes(coefficient 3.6,p=0.023).In patients with transannular patch repair,asymmetric pulmonary flow was an independent predictor of right ventricular ejection fraction(RVEF)(−3.66,p=0.04).Conclusions:Pulmonary perfusion asymmetry is frequent in rTOF and is associated with abnormal right ventricular and outflow-tract hemodynamics,including MPA dilatation and decreased RVEF in patients after transannular patch.
