Every day,websites and personal archives create more and more photos.The size of these archives is immeasurable.The comfort of use of these huge digital image gatherings donates to their admiration.However,not all of these folders deliver relevant indexing information.From the outcomes,it is dif-ﬁcult to discover data that the user can be absorbed in.Therefore,in order to determine the signiﬁcance of the data,it is important to identify the contents in an informative manner.Image annotation can be one of the greatest problematic domains in multimedia research and computer vision.Hence,in this paper,Adap-tive Convolutional Deep Learning Model(ACDLM)is developed for automatic image annotation.Initially,the databases are collected from the open-source system which consists of some labelled images(for training phase)and some unlabeled images{Corel 5 K,MSRC v2}.After that,the images are sent to the pre-processing step such as colour space quantization and texture color class map.The pre-processed images are sent to the segmentation approach for efﬁcient labelling technique using J-image segmentation(JSEG).Theﬁnal step is an auto-matic annotation using ACDLM which is a combination of Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)and Honey Badger Algorithm(HBA).Based on the proposed classiﬁer,the unlabeled images are labelled.The proposed methodology is imple-mented in MATLAB and performance is evaluated by performance metrics such as accuracy,precision,recall and F1_Measure.With the assistance of the pro-posed methodology,the unlabeled images are labelled.

Flooding is a hazardous natural calamity that causes significant damage to lives and infrastructure in the real world.Therefore,timely and accurate decision-making is essential for mitigating flood-related damages.The traditional flood prediction techniques often encounter challenges in accuracy,timeliness,complexity in handling dynamic flood patterns and leading to substandard flood management strategies.To address these challenges,there is a need for advanced machine learning models that can effectively analyze Internet of Things(IoT)-generated flood data and provide timely and accurate flood predictions.This paper proposes a novel approach-the Adaptive Momentum and Backpropagation(AM-BP)algorithm-for flood prediction and management in IoT networks.The AM-BP model combines the advantages of an adaptive momentum technique with the backpropagation algorithm to enhance flood prediction accuracy and efficiency.Real-world flood data is used for validation,demonstrating the superior performance of the AM-BP algorithm compared to traditional methods.In addition,multilayer high-end computing architecture(MLCA)is used to handle weather data such as rainfall,river water level,soil moisture,etc.The AM-BP’s real-time abilities enable proactive flood management,facilitating timely responses and effective disaster mitigation.Furthermore,the AM-BP algorithm can analyze large and complex datasets,integrating environmental and climatic factors for more accurate flood prediction.The evaluation result shows that the AM-BP algorithm outperforms traditional approaches with an accuracy rate of 96%,96.4%F1-Measure,97%Precision,and 95.9%Recall.The proposed AM-BP model presents a promising solution for flood prediction and management in IoT networks,contributing to more resilient and efficient flood control strategies,and ensuring the safety and well-being of communities at risk of flooding.

This paper presents a hardware architecture using mixed pipeline and parallel processing for complex division based on dichotomous coordinate descent(DCD) iterations. The objective of the proposed work is to achieve low-latency and resource optimized complex divider architecture in adaptive weight computation stage of minimum variance distortionless response(MVDR)algorithm. In this work, computation of complex division is modeled as a 2×2 linear equation solution problem and the DCD algorithm allows linear systems of equations to be solved with high degree of computational efficiency. The operations in the existing DCD algorithm are suitably parallel pipelined and the performance is optimized to 2 clock cycles per iteration. To improve the degree of parallelism, a parallel column vector read architecture is devised.The proposed work is implemented on the field programmable gate array(FPGA) platform and the results are compared with state-of-art literature. It concludes that the proposed architecture is suitable for complex division in adaptive weight computation stage of MVDR beamformer. We demonstrate the performance of the proposed architecture for MVDR beamformer employed in medical ultrasound imaging applications.

Analysis of Carbaryl Pesticide Residues in Environmental Samples with Spectrophotometry

A facile, rapid and sensitive spectrophotometric method was developed for the determination of carbaryl in its formulations, water and grain （rice and wheat） samples with newly synthesised reagent. The proposed method was based on the alkaline hydrolysis of carbaryl pesticide and thus resulted 1-naphthol was coupled with diazotised 4,4＇-methylene-bis-m-nitroaniline in basic medium （pH 9） to give red colored product having λmax 480 nm for diazonium method （DM） or 1-naphthol reacts with 4,4＇-methylene-bis-m-nitroaniline in the presence of oxidising agent potassium dichromate （K2Cr2O7） to give red colored product having λmax 510 nm for oxidation method （OM）. The formation of colored derivatives with the coupling agent is instantaneous and stable for 48 h （DM） and 32 h （OM） respectively. Beer＇s law was obeyed in the concentration range of 0.2--10.0 μg·mL ^-1 for DM and 0.2--0.150 μg·mL^-1 for OM. The proposed methods are sensitive, easy to operate and permitted for the determination of carbaryl with detection limits of 0.028 μg·mL^-1 for DM and 0.024 μg·mL^-1 for OM respectively. The experimental results indicate that the procedure can eliminate the fundamental interferences caused by other pesticides and non-target ions, which made the methods more sensitive and selective. The method was applicable to the determination of carbaryl residue in water and food grain samples up to μg level.

Micro-arc oxidation(MAO) technique is capable of producing dense oxide films on the aluminium alloy surface. This oxide film protects the aluminium alloy from the corrosion attack for longer duration.Empirical relationships were derived to evaluate the MAO coating properties(porosity and hardness) by incorporating very important MAO parameters(current density, inter-electrode distance and oxidation time). MAO parameters were also optimized to achieve coatings with minimum porosity and maximum hardness. Further, the effect of MAO parameters on coating characteristics was analysed. From the results, it is found that the current density has greater influence on the responses than the other two parameters.

Background: Siddha system is one of the ancient medical systems which originated in Indiamore than 4000 years ago had given many formularies and treatment methods for variousdiseases especially skin diseases and autoimmune diseases. One of the most well-knownmembers of the Fabaceae family and a popular medicinal plant is Athimathuram(Glycyrrhiza glabra). Glycyrrhiza glabra root powder (Athimathuram chooranam) fromSiddha herbal formulation mentioned in the texts to treat vitiligo. The study is aimed toexecute the In Silico computational studies of phytoconstituents of Siddha herbAthimathuram chooranam (Glycyrrhiza glabra) against Tyrosinase enzyme for the treatmentof vitiligo. Method: Making use of Auto Dock 4, docking calculations were performed.Gasteiger partial charges were applied to the ligand atoms. In order to simulate docking, theSolis & Wets local search approach and the Lamarckian genetic algorithm were employed.The ligand molecules’ initial locations, orientations, and torsion angles were determined atrandom. During docking, all rotatable torsions were freed. Results: By interacting withamino acids located on the active site of the tyrosinase enzyme, bioactive substances likeGlycyrrhizin, Liquirtin, Glabridin, Umbelliferone, and Glabrene included in the Siddhaformulation exhibit substantial binding activity against the target protein. Conclusion: Itwas concluded that these compounds might exert promising anti-vitiligo properties.

Development of cost-effective, highly reproducible non-conventional fabrication techniques for anisotropic metal nanostructures is essential to realizing potential applications of plasmonic devices, photonic devices, and surface enhanced Raman scattering （SERS） phenomenon based sensors. This report highlights the fabrication of nanotriangle arrays via nanoimprinting to overcome difficulties in creating large-area SERS active substrates with uniform, reproducible Raman signals. Electron beam lithography of anisotropic nanostructures, formation of arrays of nanotriangles in silicon and the transfer of triangular shapes to polymethylmethacrylate （PMMA） sheets via nanoimprinting have not been reported elsewhere. The reuse of silicon masters offers potential for production of low cost SERS substrates. The SERS activity and reproducibility of nanotriangles are illustrated and a consistent average enhancement factor of up to -2.9 × 1011, which is the highest value reported for a patterned SERS substrate, is achieved.

Background:Aavarai Bhavanai Chooranam(ABC)is a Siddha polyherbal formulation containing ten medicinal plants that have been used in the Siddha system of medicine,practiced in the Southern part of Tamil Nadu,India for the management of urolithiasis.Objective:The study is carried out to scientifically validate the traditional formulation and to study the mechanism of ABC.Methods:In the present study,the antiurolithiatic activity of ABC was evaluated in Wister albino rats by using ethylene glycol through drinking water.Group I acted as the standard control group and was given unlimited access to conventional rat food and water.Group II-V was given ethylene glycol(0.75%)in water to induce renal calculi for 28 days.Group III got the typical anti-urolithiatic medication,Cystone(750 mg/kg),from the 15th day to the 28th day,whereas Group II functioned as the lithiatic control group and received the vehicle.Aavarai Bhavanai Chooranam(200 mg/kg)was administered to Group IV from the 15th to the 28th day as a curative regimen.From the first day to the 28th day,Group V received Aavarai Bhavanai Chooranam(200 mg/kg),which was administered as a preventative regimen.All groups'urine samples were taken,and using accepted techniques,their calcium,magnesium,oxalate,inorganic phosphate,protein,and creatinine levels were determined.ABC treatment promotes diuresis which leads to flushing of the renal stones and maintains the alkaline condition in the urinary system which probably mediates the antilithiatic activity.Conclusion:ABC provides structural and functional protection to the kidneys by enhancing its physiological function against stone formation and validates its clinical use.

Background:The Siddha system of traditional medicine has historically been utilized to treat a wide range of illnesses,including noncommunicable diseases.With more than 62 million people in India already living with diabetes,the disease is quickly gaining the status of a possible epidemic.It has been demonstrated that this medical theory contains anti-diabetic substances.The goal of this work is to assess in silico computational investigations of the phytoconstituents in the traditional Siddha polyherbal preparation ABC,which is frequently used to treat diabetes.Method:Alpha-Glucosidase was used as the target enzyme in docking calculations for recovered phytocomponents.With the help of Auto Dock tools,necessary hydrogen atoms,Kollman unified atom type charges,and solvation parameters were added.The Lamarckian genetic algorithm and the Solis and Wets local search approach were used to simulate docking.Results:A total of 13 bioactive lead compounds were identified from the Siddha Formulation ABC.According to the herb’s stated data,the target enzyme Alpha-Glucosidase can interact with the phytochemicals Beta-Sitosterol,Amyrin,Lupeol,Arjunic acid,Arjungenin,Tinosporide,and Tembetarine up to four or five times.The second-placed substances,which had a maximum of two to three interactions with the target enzyme Alpha-Glucosidase,were betulonic acid,kaempferol,gallic acid,and barbaloin.Conclusion:The implementation of these formulations in future preclinical and clinical studies could result in the effective management of Type II Diabetes Mellitus.
