As ecosystem engineers,earthworms play a key role in the soil ***,due to increasing anthropogenic pressure,soil organisms,including earthworms,are being threatened by habitat *** this study,we undertook a qualitative and quantitative investigation of earthworms of the family Lumbricidae in four types of Carpathian beech woodland(Fagetum carpaticum),characterized by their understory vegetation(I,*** drymejae;Ⅱ,***;Ⅲ,***;and IV,***),in the Bieszczady National park(Eastern Carpathians,Southeast poland).At each investigated site,soil monoliths(25 cm×25 cm×25 cm)were examined by hand *** were expelled from deep soil layers using a weak formalin solution(0.4%).Depending on the phytocoenosis,7 species of Lumbricidae were identified at each of the sites I,Ⅱ,andⅢand 10 at site *** IV(***)differed significantly(ppect to earthworm biomass(59.71±39.53 g m^(-2))and the Shannon-Wiener diversity index(0.52±0.12).Although present three decades ago,the deep-burrowing species Octodrilus transpadanus and the litter-dwelling species Dendrobaena octaedra were not found at site IV in the present *** suspect that these two species may have been displaced by the invasive Lumbricus terrestris,which was not found at the same site in the *** observations warrant further investigation to verify the predicted effects of an invasive earthworm,including the potential effects on soils and other fauna and flora,which have been documented in numerous countries.

Adherence to pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment of frail hypertensive patients

Objective To investigate the relationship between frailty syndrome （FS） and adherence to pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment for hypertension. Methods The study included 100 patients diagnosed with hypertension and treated with one or more hypotensive drugs. Results Frail patients obtained low scores （4.1 ± 2.0） for adherence to pharmaceutical treatment of hypertension, while non-frail patients obtained moderate scores （6.1 ± 2.1）. Non-frail patients had higher scores in two out of four domains of the Health Behavior Inventory （HBI）： positive mental attitudes （3.6 ± 0.4 vs. 3.2 ± 0.5; p = 0.006） and health practices （3.6 ± 0.5 vs. 3.2 ± 0.5; p 〈 0.03）; as well as higher global scores （HBI raw score）： 83.3 ±10.6 vs. 77.3 ± 9.5; p 〈 0.03. Multiple regression analysis showed that frailty syndrome （FS） was a statistically significant independent determinant of worse adherence to pharmacological treatment （β= -0.27; p 〈 0.001） and health behaviors （β = -0.10; p = 0.036）. Education was a statistically significant independent determinant of better adherence to pharmacological treatment （β = 0.82; p = 0.012）, while net income positively affected health behaviors as measured by the HBI （β = 0.39; p = 0.046）. Conclusions FS is a significant independent factor contributing to worse adherence to pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment of hypertension. Better education significantly improves patients＇ adherence to the prescribed pharmacological treatment, while a good financial standing evidenced by high net income is a determinant of better adherence to health-related behaviors recommended in hypertension treatment.

On basis of aquatic and riverside-aquatic plants collection of O.V. fomina botanical garden is conducted research of ontogenesis, ecology, phenology, carpogenesis, biomorphology, life forms, adaptatations, of this group＇s plants, peculiarities of their cultivation and application in conditions of temperate zone of Ukraine. Special values in research have ancient genera and species, which include representatives ofNymphaeaceae salisb, and trapaceae Dumort. families, 22 species, 6 varieties, 1 hybrid, 30 cultivars of which are presented in collection of garden in open and covered soil. For the first time in covered soil of two conservatories ecological modeling was conducted. placement of plants is done in form of 5 models of artificial ecotopes, in 155 abatises. Four ecobiomorphological groups based on rhizome system were determined for Nymphaeaceae, among which conditionally-rhizome and conditionally-stolone are provided for the first time.

Strzelce植物育种公司几十年的植物育种实践反映了古往今来油菜育种的趋势以及革新。油菜育种工作在两个育种部门实施-Borowo（始于1949）和Malyszyn（始于20世纪70年代晚期）。pBC Strzelce和波兹南市油料作物遗传育种部门在育种及研究方面的合作使几个开放授粉的杂交品种得到了发展和商业化应用:有常规的冬油菜品种-Jantar（1985）,Bolko（1989）,Mar（1991）,Leo（1993）,polo（1993）,Bor（1994）,Marita（1994）,Kana（1997）,Gara（1999）,Bosman（2002）,Bojan（2004）;冬油菜复合杂交品种-mazur（2001）,Kaszub（2001）,Lubusz（2002）,pomorzanin（2002）;春油菜品种-Huzar（2004）,Markiz（2005）,Bios（2005）和春油菜复合杂交品种Margo（2000）。油菜育种的主要目标是培育高产的开放授粉杂交品种。农业和市场价值的进一步发展促使大量能够满足国内和欧盟种子市场需求的品种,这些需求主要与品质特性的改良和分化密切相关,如含油量,纤维与蛋白含量和脂肪酸组成。公司的化学实验室正在对以上参数进行品质分析。我们的组培实验室生产的双单倍体能够缩短培养工作并能培养遗传上一致的品系,特别是Ogura杂交系统需要的恢复系。本文的目的就是展现近来育种工作的历史和成果。
