Let L be a pseudo-d-lattice. We prove that the exhaustive lattice uniformities on L which makes the operations of L uniformly continuous form a Boolean algebra isomorphic to the centre of a suitable complete pseudo-d-lattice associated to L. As a consequence, we obtain decomposition theorems such as Lebesgue and Hewitt-Yosida decompositions--and control theorems such as Bartle-dunford Schwartz and Rybakov theorems--for modular measures on L.

Although many causes of Alzheimer’s disease(Ad)may exist,both the original amyloid cascade and tau hypotheses posit that abnormal misfolding and accumulation of amyloid-β(Aβ)and tau protein is the central event causing the ***,that conclusion could be only partly true,and there is conflicting evidence about the role of both proteins in Ad,being able to precede and influence one *** researchers argue that these proteins are mere executors rather than primary causes of ***,there have been continuing refinements of both hypotheses,with alternative explanations proposed.Aβand tau proteins may be independently involved in specific neurotoxic pathways;yet there may be other crucial processes going on in early ***,accumulating evidence suggests that Aβand tau act synergistically,rather than additively in disease onset(Jeremic et al.,2021,2023a).

Functional recovery from central nervous system(CNS)trauma depends not only on axon regeneration or compensatory sprouting of uninjured fibers but also on the ability of newly grown axons to establish functional synapses with appropriate *** several studies have successfully promoted long-distance axonal regeneration in distinct CNS injury models,none of them have resulted in a viable therapeutic approach for patient recovery.A possible reason may be the lack of new synaptogenesis for reestablishing the circuitry lost after ***,we discuss how our understanding of the mechanisms that instruct synapse formation in the injured nervous system may contribute to the design of new strategies to promote functional restoration in traumatic CNS disorders.

Grafting affects yield and phenolic prof ile of Solanum melongena L. landraces

The influence of grafting on agronomical and qualitative characteristics of four Sicilian eggplant landraces was investigated. Grafted and ungrafted plants were compared in the open field in the northern coast of Sicily. Solanum torvum seedlings were used as rootstock. Regardless of genotypes tested, grafting significantly increased total fruit production, marketable production, and number of marketable fruits, but did not affect weight of marketable fruits and waste production. Landrace 2（Sciacca）, with black epidermal tissue and pyriform fruit shape, when grafted onto S. torvum not only gave a higher yield performance than ungrafted plants, but also showed a higher phenolic antioxidant content. Landrace 4（Sicilia）, with black epidermal tissue and small cylindrical fruits also benefited, when grafted onto S. torvum, from a substantial increase in antioxidant fruit content. As consumers＇ demand for fruits and vegetables rich in compounds important for human health is steadily increasing, these landrace/rootstock combinations should deserve more attention by plant nurseries involved in grafted seedling production and interested in the valorization and conservation of eggplant biodiversity.

Approximating Geographical Queries

This article proposes a graph-theoretic methodology for query approximation in Geographic Information Systems, enabling the relaxation of three kinds of query constraints： topological, semantic and structural. An approximate query is associated with a value corresponding to the degree of similarity with the original query. Such a value is computed for topological constraints on the basis of the topological distance between configurations, for semantic constraints using the information content approach, and for structural constraints revisiting the maximum weighted matching problem in bipartite graphs. Finally, the high correlation of our proposal with human judgment is demonstrated by an experiment.

distributed Throughput and Energy Efficient Resource Optimization When d2d and Massive MIMO Coexist

Fifth generation(5G)cellular networks intend to overcome the challenging demands posed by dynamic service quality requirements,which are not achieved by single network *** future cellular networks require efficient resource allocation and power control schemes that meet throughput and energy efficiency requirements when multiple technologies coexist and share network *** this paper,we optimize the throughput and energy efficiency(EE)performance for the coexistence of two technologies that have been identified for the future cellular networks,namely,massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)and network-assisted device-to-device(d2d)*** such a hybrid network,the co/cross-tier interferences between cellular and d2d communications caused by spectrum sharing is a significant *** this end,we formulate the average sum rate and EE optimization problem as mixed-integer non-linear programming(MINLP).We develop distributed resource allocation algorithms based on matching theory to alleviate interferences and optimize network *** is shown in this paper that the proposed algorithms converge to a stable matching and terminate after finite *** simulation results show that the proposed algorithms achieved more than 88%of the average transmission rate and 86%of the energy efficiency performance of the optimal matching with lower complexity.

Carbon nanoparticles(CNPs)have received considerable attention due to their exceptional qualities and *** unique physical and chemical characteristics make them extremely intriguing as materials for numerous high-potential applications,such as electronics and gas *** study focused on producing carbon-based nanomaterial devices by deposition of flame-formed carbon nanoparticles on a suitable substrate and investigating their gas-sensing *** were produced in a fuel-rich laminar premixed ethylene/air flame and the collected CNP film was morphologically and electrically *** electrical conductivity of the film was investigated as a function of ethanol concentration and amount of deposited ***,CNP films exhibited high sensitivity to ambient ethanol gas concentrations,and rapid recovery times at room temperature,and showed a sensitivity increasing with the amount of deposited material and the surface *** findings demonstrate the high potential of combustion-generated CNPs as building materials for low-cost and portable ethanol sensors.
