Analytical and Observational Investigation of Colors Effects on Drag Reduction in Penguins

Thermal Efficiency Optimization of a Ground Source Heat Pump System by Assistant Preheating/Precooling: A Case Study on a Heating-Load Dominated Building

Operation strategies of Ground Source Heat Pump System(GSHPS) such as continuous or intermittent approaches have been extensively studied. In this work, a novel strategy was proposed to maximize the energy efficiency of GSHPS. In this approach, the buildings was first air-conditioned by the preheating/precooling mode and the rest thermal load was covered by the heat pump(HP) mode. The system performance can then be optimized by considering the combination of these two operating modes. A case study was made to examine the thermal performance of a GSHPS installed in Nuremberg, Germany. Thermal performance of the HP and the preheating/precooling operating modes was examined. The system was optimized by deploying the assistant preheating/precooling approach and over one-year period monitoring showed that the seasonal Coefficient of Performance(COP) of the GSHPS was 4.12 in winter and 5.01 in summer. These COP values are higher than that of the conventional GSHPS. Thus, this proposed strategy could be an efficient way to improve the thermal performance of GSHPS.

乡村发展对实现可持续发展目标(SDGs)至关重要。然而现有研究对乡村可持续发展相关的目标传导、框架运用和经验借鉴缺乏体系化阐述;全球乡村的多样性和复杂性亦使得在地实践难以形成科学的、可比较的方法论。本文借助SDGs这一全球性的战略框架,系统分析“跨国家—国家—地方”多尺度的目标传导。首先,从乡村可持续发展的国际热点出发,着重介绍2015年联合国发布SDGs后,欧盟在《欧洲绿色协议》新政和《共同农业政策》改革中进行的乡村相关的目标沿承和战略部署。其次,以荷兰与德国的国家可持续发展战略为切入点,重点梳理荷兰乡村为响应“可持续粮食和农业战略”与“环境综合愿景”以及德国乡村为响应“平等发展原则”与“绿色能源转型”所制定的核心政策。再次,通过深入分析荷、德两国的乡村典型案例,展现以主题式乡村规划、近域型循环农业、一体化跨域治理以及本土化品牌营造等方式,践行全球SDGs和上位发展战略的乡村在地创新实践。最后,结合我国实际情况,对国家、地方层面如何利用乡村可持续发展理念、借鉴国际前沿规划方法和治理手段提出政策建议。

Transcriptome analysis shows nicotinamide seed treatment alters expression of genes involved in defense and epigenetic processes in roots of seedlings of Picea abies

Nicotinamide treatment of plants and plant cell cultures has been shown to promote defense and decrease levels of DNA *** the present study,we used RNA-seq technology to study overall changes in gene expression induced in roots of 3-month-old spruce(Picea abies)seedlings grown from nicotinamide-treated seeds to examine the molecular mechanisms underlying the defense *** 350 genes were identified as differentially expressed in roots after the seed *** response genes,including transcription factors MYB77 and LHY and two chitinase enzymes,were generally upregulated,whereas genes thought to be involved in epigenetic regulation such as DDM1,known to promote DNA methylation,were present at high frequency among the downregulated *** all samples,the expression of downregulated epigenetic-related genes was highly correlated with the nicotinamide treatment,indicating a common *** results support an earlier hypothesis regarding a potential role of nicotinamide as a defense-signal mediator.

Imposing temporal consistency on deep monocular body shape and pose estimation

Accurate and temporally consistent modeling of human bodies is essential for a wide range of applications,including character animation,understanding human social behavior,and AR/VR *** human motion accurately from a monocular image sequence remains challenging;modeling quality is strongly influenced by temporal consistency of the captured body *** work presents an elegant solution to integrating temporal constraints during *** increases both temporal consistency and robustness during *** detail,we derive parameters of a sequence of body models,representing shape and motion of a *** optimize these parameters over the complete image sequence,fitting a single consistent body shape while imposing temporal consistency on the body motion,assuming body joint trajectories to be linear over short *** approach enables the derivation of realistic 3D body models from image sequences,including jaw pose,facial expression,and articulated *** experiments show that our approach accurately estimates body shape and motion,even for challenging movements and ***,we apply it to the particular application of sign language analysis,where accurate and temporally consistent motion modelling is essential,and show that the approach is well-suited to this kind of application.

蛇毒已被证明具有抗炎活性,其中包含许多免疫原性弱、活性强的短肽小分子。蛇毒腺是分泌毒液的器官,含有毒素成分及调控其分泌过程的大量生物活性成分。缓激肽2型受体(B2R)参与重要的细胞内信号通路,作为炎症的调节因子成为潜在的抗炎药物开发的靶点。为了获得特异性的B2R结合肽,利用尖吻蝮蛇Deinagkistro-don acutus毒腺T7噬菌体文库对靶点B2R进行3轮生物淘选,测序获得了多个具有潜在结合能力的序列。通过序列长度、溶解性预测、稳定性预测和分子对接等一系列生物信息学分析,最终确定1个含25个氨基酸的肽段,命名为DAvp-4。合成该肽段,通过表面等离子体共振技术验证了DAvp-4和B2R的结合能力,在脂多糖诱导的巨噬细胞模型及糖尿病视网膜病变小鼠模型中肯定了其抗炎作用。此研究不但获得了一个具有成药潜力的毒腺多肽,还显示了噬菌体展示技术在筛选天然产物成分研究中的有效性。

目的研究激光功率和离焦量对PHS2000型热成形钢激光焊接接头焊缝区及热影响区显微组织、拉伸特性和硬度分布的影响。方法采用光学显微镜(OM)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)分析焊接接头的显微结构;利用拉伸实验和显微硬度实验探究焊接接头力学性能的变化规律。结果随着激光功率从3500 W增至4700 W,焊缝区与热影响区平均晶粒尺寸总体呈上升趋势,抗拉强度先上升后下降,焊缝区平均显微硬度值在635HV~651HV内浮动,热影响区平均显微硬度值在434HV~451HV内浮动;离焦量对焊缝区的组织分布有显著影响,不同离焦量下的组织分布均较为分散,热影响区的晶粒尺寸在离焦量为−3 mm时达到最大,为10.67μm。在不同激光功率和离焦量下,焊接接头的显微硬度值存在上下浮动,焊接接头各区的显微硬度分布规律基本一致,以焊缝为中心,两侧趋于对称分布。硬度分布规律如下:焊缝区硬度>母材区硬度>热影响区硬度。结论在本实验条件下,与离焦量相比,激光功率对焊接接头显微组织及拉伸强度的影响更大。在焊接速度为150 mm/min条件下,设置激光功率为4100 W、离焦量为−2 mm,此时抗拉强度最大,为1715 MPa,达到母材抗拉强度的85%。

Background Schistosomiasis is highly endemic in sub-Saharan Africa and frequently imported to Europe. Male urogenital manifestations are often neglected. We aimed to ascertain the prevalence of genitourinary clinical signs and symptoms among long-term African migrants in a non-endemic European country using a serology *** We carried out a prospective, community-based cross-sectional study of adult male migrants from sub-Saharan Africa living in *** serology tests and microscopic urine examinations were carried out, and clinical data were obtained from an electronic medical record search and a structured *** We included 388 adult males, mean age 43.5 years [Standard Deviation (SD) = 12.0, range: 18–76]. The median time since migration to the European Union was 17 [Interquartile range (IQR): 11–21] years. The most frequent country of origin was Senegal (N = 179, 46.1%). Of the 338, 147 (37.6%) tested positive forSchistosoma. Parasite eggs were present in the urine of only 1.3%. Nine genitourinary clinical items were significantly associated with positiveSchistosoma serology results: pelvic pain (45.2%;OR = 1.57, 95%CI: 1.0–2.4), pain on ejaculation (14.5%;OR = 1.85, 95%CI: 1.0–3.5), dyspareunia (12.4%;OR = 2.45, 95%CI: 1.2–5.2), erectile dysfunction (9.5%;OR = 3.10, 95%CI: 1.3–7.6), self-reported episodes of infertility (32.1%;OR = 1.69, 95%CI: 1.0–2.8), haematuria (55.2%;OR = 2.37, 95%CI: 1.5–3.6), dysuria (52.1%;OR = 2.01, 95%CI: 1.3–3.1), undiagnosed syndromic STIs (5.4%), and orchitis (20.7%;OR = 1.81, 95%CI: 1.0–3.1).
