目标:探讨新型野生食用菌硬皮地星（Astraeus hygrometricus）对人急性淋巴细胞白血病细胞的治疗作用。方法：采用3-(4,5-二甲基噻唑-2)-2,5-二苯基四氮唑溴盐(MTT)试验，对5种野生菌类（硬皮地星、竹荪、香菇、口蘑和干朽菌）的提取物针对6种癌细胞系和正常细胞的抗增殖及化学预防的潜力进行了广泛筛选。采用流式细胞术分析细胞凋亡、细胞周期、细胞内活性氧(ROS)和活性氮(RNS)以及线粒体膜电位进行检测。采用比色法测定半胱天冬酶活性，分析线粒体蛋白的表达模式。结果：硬皮地星甲醇提取物的抗增殖活性最强，且MOLT-4细胞系最为敏感。菌类提取物可诱导MOLT-4细胞的强选择性凋亡，并在G0/G1期阻滞细胞周期进程。提取物可破坏线粒体膜电位，增强MOLT-4细胞的ROS生成。甲醇提取物通过下调Bcl-2的表达，增加Bax的表达，以及激活caspase级联反应来诱导细胞凋亡。结论：这种新型野生食用菌为抗白血病药物的开发提供了潜在的生物分子库。

Microorganisms represent a substantial portion of the earth’s biodiversity and biomass, and the plant rhizosphere is an innate reservoir teeming with heterogeneous microbes predominated by bacterial communities. Rhizospheric microbial diversity (genetic, phenotypic, and metabolic) has been extensively studied to understand the key ecological roles played by the microbial members, including plant growth promotion. The application of 16S rRNA gene sequencing and next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies has revolutionized the discovery of novel bacterial groups that have remained undetected by traditional cultivation-based approaches. Such technological advancements have opened new vistas in our current understanding of predominant but concealed and missed bacterial diversity referred to as difficult-to-culture bacterial lineages, especially the predominant phyla Acidobacteria, Verrucomicrobia,Planctomycetes, and Gemmatimonadetes. Regardless of their ubiquity and prevalence, little is known about their ecophysiology because of the non-availability of culturable members. More recently, there has been increased interest in understanding the cosmopolitan distribution and diversity of the difficult-to-culture bacteria, focusing on their role in driving complex plant-microbial interactions and mobilizing nutrients in soil and their potential as sources of novel bioactive metabolites. As an initial step, we review the distribution and significance of such bacterial phyla in soil, their ecophysiological roles, and their hidden plant growth promoting potential. The ability to select and deploy plant probiotic bacteria from the difficult-to-culture fraction of the bacterial community might open new avenues for improving crop health.

This perspective provides an overview of the techniques that have been developed for the conjugation of DNA to colloidal quantum dots （QDs）, or semiconductor nanocrystals. Methods described include： ligand exchange at the QD surface, covalent conjugation of DNA to the QD surface ligands, and one-step DNA functionalization on core QDs or during core/shell QD synthesis in aqueous solution, with an emphasis on tile most recent progress in our lab. We will also discuss emerging trends in DNA-functionalized QDs for potential applications.

Highly transparent and conducting Al-doped Zn O(Al:Zn O) thin films were grown on glass substrates using pulsed laser deposition *** profound effect of film thickness on the structural, optical and electrical properties of Al:Zn O thin films was observed. The X-ray diffraction depicts c-axis, plane(002) oriented thin films with hexagonal wurtzite crystal structure. Al-doping in Zn O introduces a compressive stress in the films which increase with the film thickness. AFM images reveal the columnar grain formation with low surface roughness. The versatile optical properties of Al:Zn O thin films are important for applications such as transparent electromagnetic interference(EMI) shielding materials and solar cells. The obtained optical band gap(3.2–3.08 e V) was found to be less than pure Zn O(3.37 e V) films. The lowering in the band gap in Al:Zn O thin films could be attributed to band edge bending phenomena. The photoluminescence spectra gives sharp visible emission peaks, enables Al:Zn O thin films for light emitting devices(LEDs) applications. The current–voltage(I–V) measurements show the ohmic behavior of the films with resistivity(ρ) 10-3Ω cm.

We present a simple method for obtaining high-density two- and three- dimensional assemblies of gold nanorods （AuNRs） on polymer brush, referred to as ＂surface-floating super-aggregates＂, with uniform distribution spanning macroscopic distances. This was achieved via the single-step immersion of a poly（oligo ethylene glycol methacrylate） brush-containing substrate in a AuNR solution without any form of functionalization. Owing to extensive macroscale plasmonic coupling, we observed for the first time the gradual evolution of a unique sharp peak in addition to the transverse and longitudinal peaks, in this case, in the near-infrared （NIR） region. We also highlight the dynamic nature of these surface-floating super-aggregates, in which the AuNRs spread out when immersed in solution and collapse when dried to facilitate the access of probe molecules for biosensing applications. As a proof of concept, the surface-floating super-aggregates were used for surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy, with which we detected rhodamine 6G at as low as sub-femtomolar concentrations. Owing to the excellent large-area uniform coverage and extreme simplicity of the fabrication method, such AuNR assemblies can easily be mass-produced and incorporated into cheap biosensors suitable for consumer use in the near future.

Evidence-based consensus suggests that physical activity and regular exercise training can reduce modifiable risk factors as well as rate of mortality and morbidity in patients with chronic diseases,such as cardiovascular disease(CVD),diabetes,obesity and ***,long-term exercise training and drastic increase in vigorous physical activity may also cause acute cardiovascular events(*** myocardial infarction)and deleterious cardiac remodeling,particularly when exercise is performed by unfit or susceptible *** is a reversed J-shaped hormesis-like curve between the duration and intensity of exercise and level of CVD ***,it is important for an early detection of cardiac injuries in professional and amateur *** this context,this article focuses on the use of biomarker testing,an indispensable component in the current clinical practices especially in Cardiology and *** attempt to justify the importance of using circulating biomarkers in routine practices of Sports Medicine for an objective assessment of CVD events following *** attentions are dedicated to three established or emerging cardiac biomarkers(*** troponins,natriuretic peptides,hypoxanthine)for myocardial tissue hypoxia/ischemia events,muscle stress,and the consequent cellular necrotic *** on these focused analyses,we propose use of circulating biomarker testing in both laboratory and point-of-care settings with an increasingly broader involvement or participation of team physicians,trainers,coaches,primary care doctors,as well as educated athlete *** diagnostic approach may improve the quality of medical surveillance and preventive measures on exercise-related CVD risks/outcomes.
