In renewable penetrated power systems, frequency instability arises due to the volatile nature of renewable energy sources (RES) and load disturbances. The traditional load frequency control (LFC) strategy from conventional power sources (CPS) alone unable to control the frequency deviations caused by the aforementioned disturbances. Therefore, it is essential to modify the structure of LFC, to handle the disturbances caused by the RES and load. With regards to the above problem, this work proposes a novel coordinated LFC strategy with modified control signal to have Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) for frequency stability enhancement of the Japanese power system. Where, the coordinated control strategy is based on the PID controller, which is optimally tuned by the recently developed JAYA Algorithm (JA). Numerous simulations are performed with the proposed methodology and, the results have confirmed the effectiveness of a proposed approach over some recent and well-known techniques in literature. Furthermore, simulation results reveal that the proposed coordinated approach significantly minimizing the frequency deviations compared to the JAYA optimized LFC without PHEVs & with PHEVs but no coordination.

Direct-fed microbials（DFM）, generally regarded as safe status, are successfully used in improving rumen ecology, gastro-intestinal health, feed efficiency, milk production and growth rate in ruminants. On the other hand, methanogenesis in rumen, which accounts for a significant loss of ruminant energy and increased greenhouse gas in environment, is of great concern, therefore, use of DFM for improving productivity without compromising the animal health and ecological sustainability is encouraged. The present study was conducted to investigate the methane reducing potential of bacteriocinogenic strain Pediococcus pentosaceus-34. Since, the culture showed no hemolysis on blood agar and DNase activity, hence, it was considered to be avirulent in nature, a prerequisite for any DFM. The culture also showed tolerance to pH 5.0 for 24 h with 0.5% organic acid mixture, whereas when given a shock for 2 h at different p H and organic acids concentrations, it showed growth at pH 3.0 and 4.0 with 0.1 and 1.0% organic acids, respectively, as having good animal probiotics attributes. The total gas production was significantly（P〈0.05） higher in live pedicoccal culture（LPC） and dead pedicoccal culture（DPC） both with wheat straw, when compared to the control. In sugarcane bagasse, gas production was significantly lower（P〈0.05） with LPC compared to the control and DPC both. Methane was reduced by the inclusion of LPC in sugarcane bagasse（0.07 mL CH4 mg–1 dry matter digestibility） with no effect on other rumen fermentation parameters. However, with wheat straw and LPC total gas, in vitro dry matter digestibility, total volatile fatty acids increased significantly but no reduction in methane production was observed in comparison to the control. Therefore, further research is warranted in this direction, if the bacteriocinogenic strains can be used as DFM for ruminants to improve the ruminant productivity.

AIM To investigate gender-specific liver estrogen receptor(ER) expression in normal subjects and patients with hepatitis C virus(HCV)-related cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).METHODS Liver tissues from normal donors and patients diagnosed with HCV-related cirrhosis and HCV-related HCC were obtained from the NIH Liver Tissue and Cell Distribution System. The expression of ER subtypes, ERα and ERβ, were evaluated by Western blotting and real-time RT-PCR. The subcellular distribution of ERα and ERβ was further determined in nuclear and cytoplasmic tissue lysates along with the expression ofinflammatory [activated NF-κB and IκB-kinase(Ikk)] and oncogenic(cyclin D1) markers by Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. The expression of ERα and ERβ was correlated with the expression of activated NF-κB, activated Ikk and cyclin D1 by Spearman's correlation. RESULTS Both ER subtypes were expressed in normal livers but male livers showed significantly higher expression of ERα than females(P kk in HCV-related HCC livers. We present a model of a universe that transitions from an early deceleration phase to the current acceleration phase under the framework of general relativity, in the presence of gravitational coupling G（t） and cosmological terms A（t）. Einstein＇s field equations have been solved by considering the time dependent deceleration parameter （DP） which renders the scale factor e = （thekt）1/m where m, n and k are positive con- stants. The cosmological term （A （t）） is found to be positive and a decreasing function of time, which supports the result obtained from observations of type Ia supernovae. The geometrical and kinematical features of the model are examined in detail.

In the present research work,AZ91 magnesium alloy and AA6082-T6 aluminium alloy were joined by friction stir welding *** comparison of microstructure and mechanical properties between different joints by varying the different materials on advance and retreating sides were mainly *** different welds have been prepared to find the material mixing between the similar and dissimilar *** joint interfaces of the welds have been investigated by employing an optical microscope and scanning electron *** Mg was placed on advancing side(AS),more aluminium content was soluble in nugget zone than the case where Mg was placed on the retreating side(RS).Thin intermetallic layer in the joint interface of Mg/Al and thick intermetallic layer with poor adhesion of the aluminium and magnesium have been observed in the dissimilar joints varying the *** highest UTS of 172.3 MPa was found for Mg-Al when Mg was placed on AS and lower UTS of 156.25 MPa was obtained when Mg was placed on *** of 86 Hv and 89 Hv were observed in the Stir zone for the dissimilar AZ91 Mg alloy and AA6082-T6 Al alloy when AZ91Mg alloy was placed on the AS and on the RS *** was also carried out to find the mode of failure.

The rapid and label-free diagnosis of malignancies in ex vivo breast biopsy tissues has significant utility in pathology laboratories and operating *** report a MEMS-based platform integrated with microchips that performs phenotyping of breast biopsy tissues using electrothermal *** microchip,fabricated on a silicon substrate,incorporates a platinum microheater,interdigitated electrodes(IDEs),and resistance temperature detectors(RTDs)as on-chip sensing *** microchips are integrated onto the platform using a slide-fit contact enabling quick replacement for biological *** bulk resistivity(ρB),surface resistivity(ρS),and thermal conductivity(k)of deparaffinized and formalin-fixed paired tumor and adjacent normal breast biopsy samples from N=8 patients were *** formalin-fixed samples,the meanρB for tumors showed a statistically significant fold change of 4.42(P=0.014)when the tissue was heated from 25°C to 37°C compared to the adjacent normal tissue,which showed a fold change of *** meanρS measurements also showed a similar *** mean k of the formalinfixed tumor tissues was 0.309±0.02Wm^(-1)k^(-1)compared to a significantly higher k of 0.563±0.028 Wm^(-1)k^(-1)for the adjacent normal tissues.A similar trend was observed inρB,ρS,and k for the deparaffinized tissue *** analysis of a combination ofρ_(B,)ρ_(S,)and k using Fisher’s combined probability test and linear regression suggests the advantage of using all three parameters simultaneously for distinguishing tumors from adjacent normal tissues with higher statistical significance.
