BACKGROUND Transfusion transmissible infections(TTIs)are illnesses spread through contaminated blood or blood *** India,screening for TTIs such as hepatitis B virus(HBv),hepatitis C virus(HCv),human immunodeficiency virus(HIv)-I/II,malaria,and syphilis is mandatory before blood ***,HCv,HBv,and HIv are the leading viruses causing mortality,affecting millions of people globally,including those with co-infections of HIv/HCv and HIv/*** highlight the impact of TTIs on life expectancy and health risks,such as liver cirrhosis,cancer,and other diseases in individuals with chronic ***,millions of blood donations take place annually,emphasizing the importance of maintaining blood *** To study the prevalence of TTIs,viz.,HBv,HCv,HIv I/II,syphilis,and malaria parasite(MP),among different blood donor *** The study assessed the prevalence of TTIs among different blood donor groups in Delhi,*** included total donors,in-house donors,total camp donors,institutional camp donors,and community camp *** for HIv,HBv,and HCv were done using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,while syphilis was tested with rapid plasma reagins and MP rapid card *** prevalence of HBv,HCv,HIv,and syphilis,expressed as *** in infection rates between the groups were analyzed usingχ²tests and P-values(less than 0.05).RESULTS The study evaluated TTIs among 42158 blood donors in *** overall cumulative frequency of TTIs in total blood donors was 2.071%,and the frequencies of HBv,HCv,HIv-I/II,venereal disease research laboratory,and MP were 1.048%,0.425%,0.221%,0.377%,and 0.0024%,***-house donors,representing 37656 donors,had the highest transfusion transmissible infection(TTI)prevalence at 2.167%.Among total camp donors(4502 donors),TTIs were identified in 1.266%of donors,while community camp donors(2439 donors)exhibited a prevalence of 1.558%.Institutional camp donors(2063 donors)had the l

The present study investigated the influence of substrate temperature(Ts)and working pressure(P(Ar))on tailoring the properties of nanocrystalline(nc)molybdenum(Mo)films fabricated by radio-frequency magnetron *** structural,morphological,electrical and optical properties of nc-Mo films were evaluated in *** Mo films exhibited(110)orientation with average crystallite size varying from 9 to 22(±1)nm on increasing *** with structural data,the electrical resistivity decreased from 55μΩcm to 10μΩcm,which is the lowest among all the Mo *** Mo films deposited under variable P(Ar).the(110)peak intensity decrement coupled with peak broadening on increasing P(Ar).Lower deposition pressure yielded densely packed thin films with superior structural properties along with low resistivity of 15μΩ*** conditions to produce high quality Mo films with excellent structural,morphological,electrical and optical characteristics for utilization in solar cells as back contact layers were identified.

A facile and efficient one-pot three-component synthesis of bis（5-methyl-2-furyl）methanes has been achieved via the reaction of 2-methylfuran with a series of aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes and aliphatic ketones in presence of copper（II） triflate under solvent free conditions. The bis（5-methyl-2-furyl）methanes were obtained in 34%--72% yields and the catalyst was recycled up to four successive cycles without much loss in catalytic activity.

We present the transition of the universe from the early decelerating phase to the current accelerating phase with viscous fluid and time-dependent cosmological constant (A) as a source of matter in Bianchi- v *** study the transit behaviour of the universe,we assume the scale factor as an increasing function of time,which generates a time-dependent deceleration parameter (DP).The study revesls that the cosmological term does not change its fundamental nature for ε =const and ε =ε(t),where ε is the coefficient of bulk *** A(t)is found to be positive and is a decreasing function of *** same behavior was observed during recent supernovae *** physical behaviour of the universe is discussed in detail.

We have searched for the existence of the late time acceleration of the universe with string fluid as the source of matter in Bianchi-v space-time. To derive a deterministic solution, we choose the scale factor to be an increasing function of time that yields a time dependent deceleration parameter, representing a model which generates a universe showing a transition from an early decelerating phase to a recent accelerating phase. The study reveals that strings dominate the early universe and eventually disappear from the universe for sufficiently large times, i.e. in the present epoch. This picture is consistent with current astronomical observations. The physical behavior of the universe is discussed in detail.

Objective:To evaluate the hepatoprotective potential of ethanolic(50%) extract of Ziziphus oenoplia(L.) Mill(***) root against isoniazid(INH) and rifampicin(RIF) induced liver damage in animal ***:Five groups of six rats each were selected for the *** extract at a dose of 150 and 300 mg/kg as well as silymarin(100 mg/kg) were administered orally once daily for 21 d in INH + RIF treated *** serum levels of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase(SGOT),glutamate pyruvate transaminase(SGPT),alkaline phosphatase (SALP),and bilirubin were estimated along with activities of superoxide dismutase,catalase, glutathione S-transferase,glutathione peroxidase,and hepatic melondialdehyde formation. Histopathological analysis was carried out to assess injury to the ***:The considerably elevated serum enzymatic activities of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase,glutamate pyruvate transaminase,alkaline phosphatase and bilirubin due to INH + RIF treatment were restored towards norma) in a dose dependent manner after the treatment with ethanolic extract of *** ***,the decreased activities of superoxide dismutase,catalase, glutathione S-transferase and glutathione peroxidase were also restored towards normal dose *** addition,ethanolic extract also significantly prevented the elevation of hepatic melondialdehyde formation in the liver of INH + RIF intoxicated rats in a dose dependent manner. The biochemical observations were supplemented with histopathological examination of rat liver ***:The results of this study slrongly indicate that ethanolic extract of *** has a potent hepatoprotective action against INH + RIF induced hepatic damage in rats.

Temporary storage/shipping of cell/tissue engineering products from bench to bedside is a key aspect of re-generative *** current proof-of-concept study presents a multipurpose device for temporary storage/shipping of cell culture dishes containing cell/tissue *** device,made with readily available raw ma-terials,contains three elements viz.a specialized lid,polymeric plates having grooves and a set of nuts and *** part of the performance evaluation,the device was first subjected to a simulated storage/shipping process,wherein the leak-proof and aseptic containment of the contents was ***,the setup was used for temporary storage/shipping of dishes having(a)L929 cell monolayers cultured on treated surfaces,(b)SIRC,HaCaT and A549 cell sheets cultured on thermo-responsive surfaces,(c)HOS-cell encapsulated agar gels and(d)HOS-cell seeded silk fibroin *** results showed that the health of cell monolayers/cell sheets/tissue constructs after the process was comparable to that before the *** device was scalable,simple to handle,can be made for a single or multi-use purpose,and can be resizable to load other culture *** design of the storage/shipping device described in this report thus offers versatile features and applications.
