Objectives:To examine the association between social media addiction and sleep quality among undergraduate nursing ***:This research is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional *** sampling technique was purposive sampling of 150 nursing students at a private university in Malang,*** filled out a questionnaire about self-identity,a sleep quality questionnaire from the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),and social media addiction from Social Media Addiction Scale(SMAS).This was a bivariate analysis which was conducted using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation ***:The results of this study reported that most nursing students were addicted to social media(76%).As for the parameter of the quality variable,most respondents had poor sleep quality,which were about 106 people(70.3%).The result of the Pearson Product Moment Correlation test obtained a P value of *** Pearson correlation coefficient was *** media addiction(adjusted odds ratio[OR]4.80,95%confidence interval[CI]=2.08-11.02),gender(adjusted OR 3.79,95%CI=1.58-9.12),and using social media for a long time(adjusted OR 4.21,95%CI=1.97-10.48)were associated with sleep ***:We found that there is an association between social media addiction and sleep quality among nursing ***,we might be educating nursing students to manage their time to improve their quality of sleep to avoid any health problems.

Predictors of diabetes self-management among type 2 diabetics in Indonesia:Application theory of the health promotion model

Objective:This study aimed to identify factors predicting diabetes self-management among adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Malang City,East Java,***:A cross-sectional design was used in this *** were selected from five primary health centers in Malang City,East Java,Indonesia using the multistage sampling method.A total of 127 adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus were *** were collected by questionnaires which were the general diabetes knowledge,the Beliefs of Treatment Effectiveness,the Diabetes Distress Scale,the Self-efficacy for Diabetes Scale,the brief Chronic Illness Resources Survey,the Situational Questionnaire and the Summary of Diabetes Self-care Activities.A self-administered questionnaire was used to collect the *** linear regression with stepwise method was used toanalyze the ***:The scores of seven questionnaires(i.e,diabetes knowledge,perceived benefit of diabetes self-management,diabetes distress,perceived self-efficacy,social support,situational influence,and diabetes self-management)were 13.75±3.59,34.9±4.89,3.03±0.86,3.60±0.53,27.79±5.56,3.27±0.58,3.81±1.08,*** significant predictors of diabetes self-management were treatment,perceived self-efficacy,and situational *** variables explained 20.8%(adjusted R^(2)=0.208)of the variance in diabetes self-management among adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Malang ***:Diabetes self-management among adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus could be improved by enhancing their perceived self-efficacy to achieve their self-management behavior,such as having a healthy diet,exercising regularly,actively monitoring blood glucose level,taking medication and foot care,and providing support to promote good situational influence.

Liberica coffee as an alternative cropping system for sustainable farming on Indonesian Peatlands

Indonesian peatlands are a fragile ecosystem,and to protect it,growing Liberica coffee is a promising way for both the environment and the *** study aimed to evaluate the performance of the liberica coffee on peatland with different water tables and develop an improved cultivation system in this *** study area was in Tanjung Jabung Barat District,Jambi Province,*** plant age is greater than 15 years and the average plant density was about 1000 trees/*** study was conducted in two *** 1st stage was a survey to identify and characterize smallholder liberica coffee farming at three peatland zones,namely 0-100 m,200-300 m,and>400 m from the principal drainage canal,and the 2nd stage was a field experiment to test the effectiveness of amendments in improving liberica coffee growth and improving degraded *** treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block design with four replications,including manure(M),at the rate of 10 t/hm^(2);lime(L),3 t/hm^(2);peat surface elevation(P),and a farmer’s practice(Control)without manure and/or lime as a *** research revealed that liberica coffee can not tolerate high water table as it may stimulate disease incidence and cause low-quality ***,recycling of organic C of about 17.14 t/(hm^(2)·a)through cherry residue application and litter compensated part of the loss of organic C through CO_(2)emissions,coffee bean removal,and maintaining peat fertility for sustainable *** low yield of(0.70±0.12)t/(hm^(2)∙a)coffee bean could be increased to(0.87±0.24)and(0.94±0.14)t/(hm^(2)∙a)by adding 3 t/(hm^(2)∙3a)of lime or 10 t/(hm^(2)∙a)of manure,*** research revealed that water table management and amendments are two main factors in liberica coffee farming on *** is of great significance to study the cultivation technology of coffee in peatland.

Objective:Evidence-based practices(EBPs)have been taught to students by identifying the best evidence/evidence from research ***,the experiences of Indonesian nurse preceptors in helping students implement research findings have not been explored *** study aimed to explore Indonesian nurse preceptors in guiding nursing students to use research ***:This study used interpretive phenomenology analysis that involves 9 nurse preceptors from hospitals in West Kalimantan,***-structured in-depth interviews were recorded and then transcribed ***:Three themes were generated during the analysis:“types of student supervision,”“issues during supervision,”and“the need for research literacy and supervision.”Conclusions:Nurse preceptors need support to supervise the nursing students to use research *** addition to upgrading nursing skills,nurse preceptors must receive training in research and its *** an appropriate strategy to assist students in using research findings will enhance the promotion of evidence-based nursing practices on a daily basis.

A review of coreflood experiments for chemically enhanced oil recovery(EOR)is presented in this paper,particularly surfactant-polymer(SP)and alkali-surfactant-polymer(ASP)*** objective of this review is to gain a general outlook and insight from coreflood experiments injecting SP or ASP slug as tertiary *** discussion is separated into sections based on relevant core and fluid properties as well as surfactant selection and SP/ASP slug design and their impact on incremental *** studies in this review have been published within the last twenty years but few older coreflood works have been included for *** in each reviewed study have been summarized in tables to help readers gain detailed *** learned from these past experiments should help other chemical EOR practitioners or students of the field in benchmarking or improving the outcomes of their future SP/ASP experiments.

Evaluation of the heat transfer performance of helical coils of non-circular tubes

This study addresses heat transfer performance of various configurations of coiled non-circular tubes, e.g., in-plane spiral ducts, helical spiral ducts, and conical spiral ducts. The laminar flow of a Newtonian fluid in helical coils made of square cross section tubes is simulated using the computational fluid dynamic approach. The effects of tube Reynolds number, fluid Prandtl number, coil diameter, etc., are quantified and discussed. Both constant wall temperature and constant heat flux conditions are simulated. The effect of in-plane coil versus a cylindrical design of constant coil, as well as a conical coil design is discussed. Results are compared with those for a straight square tube of the same length as that used to form the coils. Advantages and limitations of using coiled tubes are discussed in light of the numerical results.

Dust dispersion and management in underground mining faces

Presence of fine dust in air causes serious health hazard for mine operators resulting in such serious problems as coal workers’pneumoconiosis and *** sources of dust appear of course along the mining face where the minerals are *** control and management are required to ensure safe working environment in the ***,we utilize the computational fluid dynamic(CFD)approach to evaluate various methods used for mitigating dust dispersion from the mining face and for ensuring safe level of dust concentration in the mine tunnel for safety of the *** methods used include:application of blowing and exhaust fans,application of brattice and combination of *** results suggest that among the examined methods,implementation of appropriately located brattice to direct the flow from the main shaft to the mining face is the most effective method to direct dust particles away from the mining face.

Prediction of air flow, methane, and coal dust dispersion in a room and pillar mining face

In underground coal mines, uncontrolled accumulation of methane and fine coal dust often leads to serious incidents such as explosion. Therefore, methane and dust dispersion in underground mines is closely monitored and strictly regulated. Accordingly, significant efforts have been devoted to study methane and dust dispersion in underground mines. In this study, methane emission and dust concentration are numerically investigated using a computational fluid dynamics(CFD) approach. Various possible scenarios of underground mine configurations are evaluated. The results indicate that the presence of continuous miner adversely affects the air flow and leads to increased methane and dust ***, it is found that such negative effect can be minimized or even neutralized by operating the scrubber fan in suction mode. In addition, it was found that the combination of scrubber fan in suction mode and brattice results in the best performance in terms of methane and dust removal from the mining face.

In terms of planning aspect,nuclear power plant(NPP)development needs analyses,consideration,and right decision making due to multi criteria *** study prioritizes the best site development of Indonesian NPPs in terms of 21 social,economic,and technical perspectives which comprise transmission network,oper-ating cost,economic impact,geology,geotechnic,seismology,population density,environment,cooling water,meteorology,hydrology,proximity to hazardous facilities,topography,land use,proximity to wetland,evacu-ation route,security,transportation network,legal consideration,impact of tourism,land ownership,historical places,and public acceptance,all identified to be considerations for the best *** Fuzzy algorithms(Chang’s Extent Analysis and Buckley’s Fuzzy AHP)were used to determine the criteria priorities as well as NPP site feasibility of two locations in *** results found that geology,geotechnic,and seismology(SA1);security(SO1),population density(SA2),environment(SA3),and cooling water(SA4)had the highest priorities among the 21 *** on the 5 top priority criteria,West Kalimantan and East Kalimantan provinces serve as the best candidates for the NPP *** an innovative and novel multi criteria Fuzzy AHP–based decision making(MCDM)approach has been proven to become a useful reference to select NPP sites in Indonesia.
