background Biliary atresia(BA)is one of the most challenging hepatobiliary diseases in *** the reasonable outcome of liver transplantation(LT),portoenteral anastomosis(Kasai operation)is still the first choice of treatment for patients with *** to improve the survival rate of the patients with BA in the era of LT is a new *** sources Based on recent original publications and the experience with the BA in China,we review many factors that influence BA survival situation,including early diagnosis and screen plan,defects of early treatment,Kasai operation,and LT and indicate present questions about BA diagnosis and treatment in *** BA diagnosis may also be delayed due to insufficient understanding of BA and lack of jaundice monitoring methods at different levels of the hospitals in *** education of the physicians at smaller city hospitals about BA,neonatal jaundice and cholestasis would be helpful in improving early diagnosis of *** surgical intervention is still the only guarantee to improve the survival rate of BA with native *** In the era of LT,especially in China,Kasai operation can provide waiting time for living donor LT and improve the success rate of LT and minimize the rapid deterioration of liver function of the children with BA and decrease the mortality in patients with BA.

sustainable structures are critical for addressing global climate ***,their structural resilience or ability to recover from natural events must be considered *** roofs are a widely used sustainable feature that improve the environment while providing excellent occupant *** expand their usage,their inherent damping and layout sensitivity to seismic performance are investigated in this *** soil of a green roof can serve as a damper to dissipate the energy generated by earthquakes or other dynamic *** of preliminary analysis show that a green roof soil can increase localized damping by 2.5%under both dry and saturated *** on these findings,nonlinear time-history analyses are conducted on a three-story building in sAP2000 to monitor the structural behavior with and without a green *** increased damping in the green roof soil is beneficial to the structural performance,i.e.,it reduces the building displacement and acceleration by 10%and 12%,***,certain configurations are more effective and beneficial to the structural response than others,which suggests the possibility of design *** on the findings of this study,new methods of modeling and considering green roofs in structural design are established.

AIM:To review international guidelines and to share our infection control experience during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic at a tertiary eye centre in Hong ***:Infection control guidelines and recommendations from international ophthalmological bodies are reviewed and *** measures at our hospital were drawn up as per international and local health authorities’guidelines and implemented with the collaboration of doctors,nurses and administrative ***:The aims of our infection control measures are to 1)minimize cross-infection within the hospital;2)protect and support hospital staff;3)ensure environmental *** minimize the risk of cross-infection,outpatient attendance and elective surgery have been reduced by 40%,and general anesthesia procedures were reduced by 90%.Patients entering the hospital are screened for fever,travel history,contact and cluster history,and COVID-19 related *** protect and support hospital staff,we ensure provision of adequate personal protective equipment(PPE)and provide clear guidelines on the level of PPE needed,depending on the clinical *** protective measures include provision of work uniforms,easy access to alcohol-based hand rub,opening new lunch areas,implementation of self-monitoring and self-reporting systems,and communication via online education and ***,environmental control is achieved by ensuring regular disinfection of the hospital premise,enhancing ventilation,and usage of disposable ophthalmic ***:Our multi-pronged approach to infection control is,so far,successful in minimizing infection risks,while allowing the maintenance of essential ophthalmic services.

In this paper, we study the asymptotics of the Krawtchouk polynomials Kn^N（z;p,q） as the degree n becomes large. Asymptotic expansions are obtained when the ratio of the parameters n/N tends to a limit c E （0, 1） as n →∞. The results are globally valid in one or two regions in the complex z-plane depending on the values of c and p; in particular, they are valid in regions containing the interval on which these polynomials are orthogonal, Our method is based on the Riemann-Hilbert approach introduced by Delft and Zhou.

If we approximate light quarks as massless and apply the schwinger confinement mechanism to light quarks,we will reach the conclusion that a light quark and its antiquark will be confined as a boson in the Abelian U(1)QED gauge interaction in(1+1)D,as in an open *** the work of Coleman,Jackiw,and susskind,we can infer further that the schwinger confinement mechanism persists even for massive quarks in(1+1)*** such a QED-confined one-dimensional open string in(1+1)D be the idealization of a flux tube in the physical world in(3+1)D,similar to the case of QCD-confined open string?If so,the QED-confined bosons may show up as neutral QED mesons in the mass region of many tens of MeV[***.C 81,064903(2010)&*** Energy Phys.2020(8),165(2020)].Is it ever possible that a quark and an antiquark be produced and interact in QED alone to form a confined QED meson?Is there any experimental evidence for the existence of a QED meson(or QED mesons)?The observations of the anomalous soft photons,the X17 particle,and the E38 particle suggest that they may bear the experimental evidence for the existence of such QED *** confirmation and investigations on the X17 and E38 particles will shed definitive light on the question of quark confinement in QED in(3+1)*** of quark confinement in the QED interaction are discussed.

The derivation of nonlinear integrable evolution partial differential equations in higher dimensions has always been the holy grail in the field of *** well-known modified Kd V equation is a prototypical example of an integrable evolution equation in one spatial *** there exist integrable analogs of the modified Kd V equation in higher spatial dimensions?In what follows,we present a positive answer to this *** particular,rewriting the(1+1)-dimensional integrable modified Kd V equation in conservation forms and adding deformation mappings during the process allows one to construct higher-dimensional integrable ***,we illustrate this idea with examples from the modified Kd V hierarchy and also present the Lax pairs of these higher-dimensional integrable evolution equations.
