An Investment Portfolio Management Using Software Agents that Rely on Fuzzy Logic and with Different Decision Arguments Combinations

During the development of the intellectual multi-agent investment management information system （designed for the formation of investor＇s investment decisions）, it was established that there is a lack of both necessary comprehensive researches and analysis to invoke more than one decision-making aspect （argument） for the making of investment decision, and recommendations to combine these diverse parameters. It is possible to find a lot of articles and researches in which investment decisions or investment tactics are decided on the ground of either technical or fundamental analysis, or modeling and on the ground of intellectual calculating technique （for example, fuzzy logic, neural net, genetic programming）, whereas the issues of the coordination of different techniques are not decided at all. To fill this niche, the article offers the decision applied in multi-agent investment management information system which allows to provide rationale for investment decision taking into account four aspects （arguments）, i.e., to form the recommendation to purchase/hold/sell a security paper having evaluated the following four aspects （arguments）：（a） fundamental analysis, （b） technical analysis, （c） experts and analysts＇ recommendations and （d） risk assessment. These aspects （arguments） are chosen taking into account the real most commonly occurring process of investor＇s investment decision-making. The article gives the implementation of aspects （arguments） assessment by four corresponding software agents whose decisions are implemented with a help of fuzzy logic. Besides, the article offers the technique of the unification of these aspects （arguments）. The offered intellectual multi-agent investment management information system can be tested on the internet： ***/webapp （MADSYS project）.

Methodological Approaches to Development and Implementation of Multi-agents Investment DSS Using JADE Platform

In these latter days software agents are used for the development and implementation of intellectual decision support systems. In order to implement intelligence in a system some or several dozen of software agents are used and the made system becomes multi-agent. For the development of these systems a set of methodologies, i.e., the sequence of consequent steps of analysis, designing and implementation, is offered. The carried out analysis of the methodologies showed that as a rule they are limited by the spectrum of their pending problem （within the pales of the requirements of specific applied task, within the pales of the possibilities of technical implementation） or within the pales of amount of detail. The variety of methodologies is influenced by the fact that for the development of these systems the requirements and attitudes are offered by the specialists of related spheres such as software, numeral intellect engineers. In the course of the development of hardware and software appeared possibilities to implement mobile multi-agents systems, however, there is no one united mobile multi-agent systems design methodology, whereas existing systems are underdeveloped and their number is small. In this article we introduce the course of the designing of an intellectual real time multi-agent investment management decision support information system adapting and combining some methodologies where the choice to use either communicating or mobile agents is the question of rather technical implementation than methodological. In the article we introduce two ways of system implementation by JADE platform： the first one-using communicating agents, and the second one-using mobile agents.

The paper present the fuzzy logic expert system called MADSYS for an investor＇s portfolio allocation by financial asset classes. MADSYS system will be used in the interface agent （agents） of multi-agent investment management information system. One of the principal tasks of the multi-agent system is to help an investor to make investment decisions and to provide appropriate investment proposals according to the investor＇s profile. From MADSYS depends a lot of things, namely the multi-agent investment management information system accuracy, proposed investment decisions, the right portfolio allocation of financial assets, reliability and investor satisfaction. The usage of MADSYS system in the multi-agent system makes it more intellectual, i.e. the system will be able to adjust automatically to the changing of investor profile. Generation of millijoule-level sub-5 fs violet laser pulses

We demonstrate the generation,spectral broadening and post-compression of second harmonic pulses using a thin beta barium borate(BBO)crystal on a fused-silica substrate as the nonlinear interaction *** combining second harmonic generation in the BBO crystal with self-phase modulation in the fused-silica substrate,we efficiently generate millijoule-level broadband violet pulses from a single optical *** second harmonic spectrum covers a range from long wave ultraviolet(down to 310 nm)to visible(up to 550 nm)with a bandwidth of 65 ***,we compress the second harmonic beam to a duration of 4.8 fs with a pulse energy of 0.64 mJ(5 fs with a pulse energy of 1.05 mJ)using chirped *** all-solid free-space apparatus is compact,robust and pulse energy scalable,making it highly advantageous for generating intense second harmonic pulses from near-infrared femtosecond lasers in the sub-5 fs regime.

We present a novel approach for Stimulated Raman Scattering(SRS)spectroscopy in which a hyper spectral resolution and high-speed spectral acquisition are achieved by employing amplified offset-phase controlled fs-pulse *** investigate the method by solving the coupled non-linear Schrödinger equations and validate it by numerically characterizing SRS in molecular nitrogen as a model *** spectral resolution of the method is found to be determined by the inverse product of the number of pulses in the burst and the intraburst pulse *** SRS spectrum is obtained through a motion-free scanning of the offset phase that results in a sweep of the Raman-shift *** to high spectral resolution and fast motion-free scanning the technique is beneficial for a number SRS-based applications such as gas sensing and chemical analysis.

Channel-resolved subcycle interferences of electron wave packets emitted from H_(2) in two-color laser fields

We report on the observation of subcycle interferences of electron wave packets released during strong field ionization of H_2 with cycle-shaped two-color laser fields. With a reaction microscope we measure three-dimensional momentum distributions of photoelectrons correlated with either H_2^+ or protons within different energy ranges generated by dissociation of H_2^+. We refer to these different types of photoelectrons as channels. Our results show that the subcycle interference structures of electron wave packets are very sensitive to the cycle shape of the two-color laser field. We explain this behavior by the dependence of the ionization time within an optical cycle on the shape of the laser field cycle. The subcycle interference structures can be further used to obtain insight into the subcycle dynamics of molecules during strong field interaction.

Genome-wide markers for seed yield and disease resistance in perennial ryegrass

The market success of perennial ryegrass(Lolium perenne L.) cultivars depends on sufficient seed production, as they are propagated by seed. However, breeding for high quality forage production reduces seed yield, and breaking the negative correlation would help to overcome the problem. The foliar disease crown rust is another factor affecting reproductive capacity and thereby seed yield. We evaluated seed yield-related traits and resistance to crown rust in a collection of commercial cultivars and ecotypes of perennial ryegrass and identified genome-wide markers associated with the traits. The study revealed high variation between the ecotype and cultivar groups as well as between years. A genome-wide association study identified 17 DNA single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) of which eight were associated with crown rust and nine with flag-leaf length. The SNP markers were located within or near predicted genes functioning in defense against pathogens. The identified genes are strong candidates for a further in-depth functional study to continue unravel determination of leaf architecture and crown rust resistance in perennial ryegrass.
