Basaltic volcanic conglomerates near the Wulgai village in Balochistan occur in the undivided sedimentary rock unit of the Bagh complex which is the mélange zone beneath the muslim Bagh ophiolite. The presence of middle Triassic grey radiolarian chert within the upper and lower horizon of the conglomerates suggests that the lavas, from which these conglomerates were principally derived, were eroded and re-deposited in the middle Triassic. The Wulgai conglomerate contains several textural and mineralogical varieties of volcanic rocks, such as porphyritic, glomerophyric, intersertal and vitrophyric basalts. The main minerals identified in these samples are augite, olivine, plagioclase（An35–78） leucite and nosean, with apatite ilmenite, magnetite and hematite occurring as accessory minerals. These rocks are mildly to strongly-alkaline with low mg~# and low Cr, Ni and Co contents suggesting that their parent magma had undergone considerable fractionation prior to eruption. Trace element-enriched mantle-normalized patterns with marked positive Nb anomalies are consistent with 10%–15% melting of an enriched mantle source in a within-plate tectonic setting. It is proposed that this middle Triassic intra-plate volcanism may represent mantle plume-derived melts related to the Late Triassic rifting of micro-continental blocks（including Afghan, Iran, Karakorum and Lhasa） from the northern margin of Gondwana.

AIm： To evaluate accuracy of in vivo diagnosis of ad- enomatous vs non-adenomatous polyps using/-SCAN digital chromoendoscopy compared with high-definition white light. mETHODS： This is a single-center comparative effec- tiveness pilot study. Polyps （n = 103） from 75 average- risk adult outpatients undergoing screening or surveil- lance colonoscopy between December 1, 2010 and April 1, 2011 were evaluated by two participating en- doscopists in an academic outpatient endoscopy center. Polyps were evaluated both with high-definition white light and with/-SCAN to make an/n vivo prediction of adenomatous vs non-adenomatous pathology. We de- termined diagnostic characteristics of/-SCAN and high- definition white light, including sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy, with regards to identifying adenomatous vs non-adenomatous polyps. Histopathologic diagnosis was the gold standard comparison. RESULTS： One hundred and three small polyps, de- tected from forty-three patients, were included in the analysis. The average size of the polyps evaluated in the analysis was 3.7 mm （SD 1.3 mm, range 2 mm to 8 mm）. Formal histopathology revealed that 54/103 （52.4%） were adenomas, 26/103 （25.2%） were hyper- plastic, and 23/103 （22.3%） were other diagnoses in- clude ＂lymphoid aggregates＂, ＂non-specific colitis,＂ and ＂no pathologic diagnosis.＂ Overall, the combined accu- racy of endoscopists for predicting adenomas was iden- tical between/-SCAN （71.8%, 95%CI： 62.1%-80.3%） and high-definition white light （71.8%, 95%CI： 62.1%-80.3%）. However, the accuracy of each endosco- pist differed substantially, where endoscopist A demon- strated 63.0% overall accuracy （95%CI： 50.9%-74.0%） as compared with endoscopist B demonstrating 93.3% overall accuracy （95%CI： 77.9%-99.2%）, irrespective of imaging modality. Sandy soils, typical of Australia's west, either have little or no habitat protection for microbes including arbuscular mycorrhizal(Am) fungi, which are essential for nutrient cycling. To minimize this problem, the application of organic matter, such as humus-rich composts, is necessary during vegetable crop production. This study aimed at determining the effects of humus-rich composts on either indigenous or inoculated Am fungal colonisation in roots, lettuce(Lactuca sativa L. var. Quechua) growth, and soil fertility improvement. Four different humus-rich composts with varying humus contents were applied at the same standard rate to lettuce grown under glasshouse conditions for 10 weeks after sowing and compared with two low-humus composts and non-amended soil(control). Humus-rich composts significantly increased lettuce shoot growth, root growth, and Am fungal colonisation in roots. Humus contents in the composts were also correlated with lettuce shoot and root growth. Soil dissolved organic carbon, microbial biomass carbon, and fertility were increased with the application of humus-rich composts. These humus-rich composts, especially the compost of higher humic acid with and without Am inoculation, might have a significant role in sustainable vegetable production, for example lettuce growth. Overall, the results indicate that supplementation with humus-rich compost is highly beneficial to enhance soil fertility and potentially maintain the sustainability of vegetable production.

·AIm: To describe the outcomes of bleb needling in primary glaucoma in an Asian tertiary eye centre over a2 y period. To compare the success rates between primary angle-closure glaucoma(PACG) and primary open angle glaucoma(POAG). Lastly, to identify factors associated with success of bleb needling.·mETHODS: This was a retrospective review of 227 patients who underwent bleb needling between June2009 and June 2011 in Singapore National Eye *** 5-fluorouracil(5-FU) augmented bleb needling was performed either at the slit lamp or in the operating theatre. Repeat bleb needlings were performed as necessary. Complete success was defined as maintenance of intraocular pressure(IOP) ≥6 mm Hg and ≤21 mm Hg, in the absence of further surgery or use of antiglaucoma medication. Qualified success met the above criteria with or without use of antiglaucoma medications.· RESULTS: One hundred and seventy-five eyes completed the two-year follow up. Sixty-nine percent of participants had POAG and 31% had PACG. The mean interval between filtering surgery and bleb needling was299.9 ±616.4d for POAG and 167.1 ±272.2d for *** needling attempts were 1.9±1.4 and 2±1.6 for POAG and PACG respectively. In general, there was a statistically significant reduction of IOP ranging from21.9% to 26.8% from month 1 through to month 24. The complete success rates at month 6 were 70.0% for POAG and 65.7% for PACG. At month 12, this decreased to62.2% for POAG and PACG and at month 24, 57.9% for POAG and 63.0% for PACG respectively. The qualified success rates at month 6 for POAG and PACG were23.8% and 29.9% respectively, 32.2% and 29.2% at month12, and 34.7% and 29.6% at month 24. The success ratesbetween POAG and PACG were not significantly different(P >0.05 for complete and qualified success at months 6,12 and 24). The evolution of coronavirus disease(COVID-19)into a pandemic has severely hampered the usage of public transit *** a post-COVID-19 world,we may see an increased reliance on autonomous cars and personal rapid transit(PRT)systems,with inherent physical distancing,over buses,trains and aircraft for intracity,intercity,and interstate ***,air travel would continue to be the dominant mode of intercontinental transportation for *** this study,we perform a comprehensive computational analysis,using ANSYS Fluent,of typical intercontinental aircraft ventilation systems to determine the seat where environmental factors are most conducive to human comfort with regards to air quality,protection from orally or nasally released pollutants such as CO_(2)and coronavirus,and thermal comfort *** velocity,temperature,and air pollutant concentration emitted from the nose/mouth of fellow travelers are considered for both Boeing and Airbus *** each plane,first class,business class,and economy class sections were *** present conclusions as to which is the optimum seat in each section of each plane and provide the data of the environmental conditions to support our *** findings may be used by the general public to decide which seat to occupy for their next intercontinental ***,the commercial airliners can use such a model to plan the occupancy of the aircraft on long-duration intercontinental flights(viz.,Airbus A380 and Boeing B747).

AImTo investigate and summarize the literature regarding the diagnosis and management of intrahepatic pancreatic pseudocysts (IHPP). mETHODSA literature search was performed using Pubmed (mEDLINE) and Google Scholar databases, followed by a manual review of reference lists to ensure that no articles were missed. All articles, case reports, systematic reviews, letters to editors, and abstracts were analyzed and tabulated. Bivariate analyses were performed, with significance accepted at P RESULTSWe found 41 published articles describing 54 cases since the 1970s, with a fairly steady rate of publication. Patients were predominantly male, with a mean age of 49 years. In 42% of published cases, the IHPP was the only reported pseudocyst, but 58% also had concurrent pseudocysts in other extrapancreatic locations. Average IHPP size was 9.5 cm and they occurred most commonly (48%) in the left hemiliver. Nearly every reported case was managed with an intervention, most with a single intervention, but some required up to three interventions. Percutaneous treatment with either simple aspiration or with an indwelling drain were the most common interventions, frequently performed along with stenting of the pancreatic duct. The size of the IHPP correlated significantly with both the duration of treatment (P = 0.006) and with the number of interventions required (P = 0.031). The duration of therapy also correlated with the initial white blood cell (WBC) count (P = 0.048). CONCLUSIONDiagnosis of IHPP is difficult and often missed. Initial size and WBC are predictive of the treatment required. With appropriate intervention, most patients achieve resolution.
