In this study,an overcasting process followed by a low-temperature(200°C)annealing schedule has been developed to bond magnesium to aluminum *** software was used to optimize the process parameters during the overcasting process which lead to mg/Al bimetallic structures to be successfully produced without formation of mg-Al intermetallic *** microstructure evolution during annealing,including the formation and growth of Al-mg interdiffusion layer and intermetallic phases(Al12mg17 and Al3mg2),was experimentally observed for the first time with direct evidence,and predicted using Calculation of Phase Diagrams(CALPHAD)*** interfacial strength was achieved when the interdiffusion layer formed at the mg/Al interface reached a maximum thickness the without formation of brittle intermetallic *** precise diffusion modeling of the mg/Al interface provides an efficient way to optimize and control the interfacial microstructure of mg/Al bimetallic structures for improved interfacial bonding.

Stimulator of interferon genes(STING)-mediated innate immune activation plays a key role in tumor-and self-DNA-elicited antitumor immunity and ***,STING can also suppress tumor immunity and *** signaling In host nonhematopoietic cells was reported to either protect against or promote graft-versus-host disease(GVHD),a major complication of allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation(allo-HCT).Host hematopoietic antigen-presenting cells(APCs)play key roles in donor T-cell priming during GVHD ***,how STING regulates host hematopoietic APCs after allo-HCT remains *** utilized murine models of allo-HCT to assess the role of STING in hematopoietic ***-deficient recipients developed more severe GVHD after major histocompatibility complex-mismatched *** bone marrow chimeras,we found that STING deficiency in host hematopoietic cells was primarily responsible for exacerbating the ***,STING on host CD11c+cells played a dominant role in suppressing allogeneic T-cell ***,STING deficiency resulted in increased survival,activation,and function of APCs,including macrophages and dendritic ***,constitutive activation of STING attenuated the survival,activation,and function of APCs isolated from STING V154m knock-in ***-deficient APCs augmented donor T-cell expansion,chemokine receptor expression,and migration into intestinal tissues,resulting in accelerated/exacerbated *** pharmacologic approaches,we demonstrated that systemic administration of a STING agonist(bis-(3'-5')-cyclic dimeric guanosine monophosphate)to recipient mice before transplantation significantly reduced GVHD *** conclusion,we revealed a novel role of STING in APC activity that dictates T-cell allogeneic responses and validated STING as a potential therapeutic target for controlling GVHD after allo-HCT.

Background:Higher levels of cardiorespiratory fitness are associated with reduced asthma severity and increased quality of life in those with ***,the purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a 6-month high-intensity interval training(HIIT)intervention in adolescents with and without ***:A total of 616 adolescents(334 boys;13.0±1.1 years,1.57±0.10 m,52.6±12.9 kg,mean±SD),including 155 with asthma(78 boys),were recruited as part of a randomized controlled trial from 5 schools(4 control and 1 intervention).The 221 intervention participants(116 boys;47 asthma)completed 6 months of school-based HIIT(30 min,3 times per week,10-30 s bouts at>90%age-predicted maximum heart rate with equal rest).At baseline,mid-intervention,post-intervention,and 3-month follow-up,measurements for 20-m shuttle run,body mass index(BmI),lung function,Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory,Paediatric Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire,and Asthma Control Questionnaire were ***,69 adolescents(39 boys(of the 36 with asthma there were 21 boys))also completed an incremental ramp *** analysis,each group’s data(intervention and control)were divided into those with and without ***:Participants with asthma did not differ from their peers in any parameter of aerobic fitness,at any time-point,but were characterized by a greater *** intervention elicited a significant improvement in maximal aerobic fitness but no change in sub-maximal parameters of aerobic fitness,lung function,or quality of life irrespective of asthma *** in the intervention group maintained their BmI,whereas BmI significantly increased in the control group throughout the 6-month ***:HIIT represents an effective tool for improving aerobic fitness and maintaining BmI in adolescents,irrespective of asthma *** was well-tolerated by those with asthma,who evidenced a similar aerobic fitness to their healthy peers and responded equally

Poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation(PARylation)is a posttranslational modification reversibly catalyzed by poly(ADP-ribose)polymerases(PARPs)and poly(ADP-ribose)glycohydrolases(PARGs)and plays a key role in multi-ple cellular *** molecular mechanisms by which PARylation regulates innate immunity remain largely unknown in *** we show that Arabidopsis UBC13A and UBC13B,the major drivers of lysine 63(K63)-linked polyubiquitination,directly interact with PARPs/*** of pathogen-associated molecular pattern(PAmP)-triggered immunity promotes these interactions and enhances PARylation of *** parp1 parp2 and ubc13a ubc13b mutants are compromised in immune responses with increased accumulation of total pathogenesis-related(PR)proteins but decreased accu-mulation of secreted PR *** disulfide-isomerases(PDIs),essential components of endo-plasmic reticulum quality control(ERQC)that ensure proper folding and maturation of proteins destined for secretion,complex with PARPs/PARGs and are PARylated upon PAmP ***,PARylation of UBC13 regulates K63-linked ubiquitination of PDIs,which may further promote their disulfide isomerase activities for correct protein folding and subsequent *** together,these results indicate that plant immunity is coordinately regulated by PARylation and K63-linked ubiquitination.

Craniosynostosis is a rare disease in which one or more of the cranial sutures in an infant skull prematurely fuses by turning into bone,with a prevalence of 1 in 2,000—2,500 individuals from reports in Western countries(Wilkie et al.,2017).It may restrict the growth of the brain,leading to some degree of morphological and functional abnormalities,and may affect the neurocognitive function of infants(Lattanzi et al.,2017).Genetic variants underlying craniosynostosis have been identified in cohort studies in Western populations.

充分了解大熊猫生境的时空格局及其变化,对有效保护大熊猫非常重要.绘制生境图既是野生动物生境评价和监测的一个有效方式,也是一个必要的步骤.新发展起来的人工智能方法(包括专家系统和神经网络方法),在模拟复杂系统过程中能够同时综合定性和定量信息,并可集成于GIS中,有助于大熊猫复杂生境的制图及评价.为了对大熊猫生境进行评价,本文建立了一个较全面的综合制图方法,将专家系统、神经网络和多类型数据全部集成在GIS环境下.结果表明,采用专家系统和神经网络集成方法绘制的大熊猫生境图的精度达到80%以上,高于单一的专家系统方法、神经网络方法和传统的最大似然法制图的精度.Z统计方法也证实了新建立的专家系统和神经网络集成方法要显著好于3种单一方法.

BACKGROUND Stress radiographs have demonstrated superior efficacy in the evaluation of ankle *** To determine if there is a degree of instability evidenced by stress radiographs that is associated with pathology concomitant with ankle ligamentous *** A retrospective review of 87 consecutive patients aged 18-74 who had stress radiographs performed at a single institution between 2014 and 2020 was *** manual radiographic stress views were then correlated with magnetic resonance imaging and operative *** A statistically significant association was determined for the mean and median stress radiographic values and the presence of peroneal pathology(P=0.008 for tendonitis and P=0.020 for peroneal tendon tears).A significant inverse relationship was found between the presence of an osteochondral defect and increasing degrees of instability(P=0.043).CONCLUSION Although valuable in the clinical evaluation of ankle instability,stress radiographs are not an independent predictor of conditions associated with ankle in-stability.

In Indonesia,undervirilisation in 46,XY males is the most common form of difference of sex development(DSD).This can include hypospadias(misplacement of the urethra),micropenis,bifid scrotum,and undescended testis[1].Undervirilisation or 46,XY DSD can be associated with a number of congenital syndromes,including Smith-Lemli-Opitz Syndrome(OmIm 602858),caused by an inborn error of cholesterol synthesis,and characterised by growth delay,intellectual disability,microcephaly,distinctive facial features,cleft palate,limb anomalies,and hypospadias[2]or Opitz syndrome(also known as Opitz G/BBB syndrome).Opitz syndrome can be caused by variants in the X-linked midline 1(mID1)gene(Type I)or in an autosomal dominant manner by monoallelic variants in sperm antigen with calponin homology and coiled-coil domains 1-like(SPECC1L)on chromosome 22q11.2(Type II)[3].Opitz syndrome is characterised by hypospadias,hypertelorism,cleft lip/palate,and heart defects[4].The prevalence of X-linked Opitz syndrome is estimated to be from 1 in 50000 to 1 in 100000 males[5].Recognition of a syndrome informs appropriate clinical management and patient ***,although these syndromes are rare,hypospadias may be diagnosed before the emergence of other comorbidities meaning that it is crucial for clinicians to perform a thorough clinical evaluation with syndromic causes in mind.
