The 17q12-21 locus harboring ORMDL sphingolipid biosynthesis regulator 3(ORMDL3)and Gasdermin B(GSDMB)genes exhibits one of the most significant and replicated associations with asthma[MIM:600807](Stein et al.,2018).Several studies explored the complex interactions between SNPs,gene expression and epigenetic modifications at this locus,primarily focusing on the levels of expressed ORMDL3 and GSDMB(Stein et al.,2018).Given that DNA methylation and gene expression signals are cell-type specific(Reinius et al.,2012),isolated materials such as lymphocytes from blood and,to a lesser extent,bronchial epithelial cells from biopsies of bronchi or bronchoalveolar lavages have been used in a number of studies to investigate such interactions(Stein et al.,2018).

“文明的野蛮”这一悖论式的命题,是对“人类世”的深刻写照。“人类世”始于人从自然中的割离,文明的人类扛着“人类中心主义”的大旗野蛮地向其他生物和整个地球宣战,由生命相互“连结”生成的生态自组织系统,即生物圈的平衡被严重破坏。古老的野蛮与文明的野蛮结盟,相互杀戮的战争和冷漠的“技术圈”将国家权力变成自然的主宰和掠夺者,使它们停留在强权较量的铁器时代;同时使人类的生命意识缺失,退回到精神的史前阶段。人类自身不团结,何谈拯救万物、地球?因此我们首先要建立人类伦理和人类政治。或许“人类世”是蜕变的征兆。蜕变是生命自组织的连结,死亡中孕育着新生命和创造力。所有生物的共生连结是我们生物圈归属感的源泉,使我们重新定义我们的身份——地球人。所以我们要努力思考寰球伦理和生态政治。人类需要自我革新,以另一种方式活着,寻求如何走出“人类世”文明的野蛮。

Therapy based on androgenic deprivation is one of the standard treatments that many prostate cancer patients receive. Moreover, its use is increasing owing to a clear expansion of the indications for this therapy in patients with localized prostate cancer. Despite classically being considered to be well tolerated, androgenic deprivation has adverse effects. Of these, the loss of mineral bone mass is particularly notable and can lead to osteoporosis, as well as an increased risk of bone fracture. Some fractures, such as hip fractures, may have serious consequences. Useful procedures such as bone densitometry can aid in the diagnosis of these conditions. Once diagnosed, decreases in mineral bone mass can be managed by dietary recommendations, general changes in lifestyle or medication. We review the most important randomized controlled trials evaluating different drugs （bisphosphonates, denosumab and toremifene） in the prevention of bone loss and in the reduction in fracture risk in prostate cancer patients treated with androgen-deprivation therapy. Following the applicable recommendations, urologists must carefully monitor the bone health of prostate cancer patients subjected to androgenic deprivation to obtain an early diagnosis and apply the appropriate general and/or therapeutic measures if necessary.

The Talas Fergana/Karatau Fault,is a major tectonic boundary separating the Kazakh-Turan domain to the west from the Tian Shan domain to the *** the Jurassic,movements along the fault led to the opening of several ***,the Mesozoic kinematics of the fault and the geodynamic mechanism that led to the opening of these basins are largely *** at its southwestern termination,the Yarkand-Fergana Basin is certainly the best exposed and however still poorly *** this study,we provide new sedimentological description of the Jurassic series from the northern part of the Yarkand-Fergana Basin as well as new palynological *** a Middle-Late Triassic period dominated by regional erosion,the onset of sedimentation in the Yarkand-Fergana Basin occurred during the Sinemurian(?)-*** basin opened as a half graben controlled by the Talas Fergana/Karatau Fault and separated from the Fergana Basin by basement *** persisted during the late Pliensbachian-Middle Jurassic,leading to a general widening of the YarkandFergana ***,Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous renewed tectonic activity in the area led to the inversion of the north Yarkand-Fergana *** Early to Middle Jurassic timing of development of the Yarkand-Fergana Basin suggests that the coeval movements along the Talas Fergana/Karatau Fault are not associated to the collision of the Qiangtang block along the southern margin of *** favor the hypothesis of an opening controlled by transtension related to far field effects of back-arc extension along the Neo-Tethys subduction zone to the west.

Influence of initial microstructure and grain size on transformation of bainite to austenite in large size forgings

The kinetics of austenite formation in the surface and center regions of a 40 t forged ingot of a high-strength medium- carbon low-alloy steel was studied using high-resolution dilatometry. The starting microstructures from the surface or center regions had different proportions of bainite and residual austenite as well as different prior austenite grain sizes. Two heating rates representing the actual heating rates in the surface （5℃ s -1） and center regions （0.5℃ s -1） of large size forged blocks were utilized. Dilatometric curves revealed only one transformation step of austenite formation at both heating rates independent of grain size or proportion of phases. Optical microscopy, field emission gun scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction were used to study microstructure evolution and confirm the results obtained by dilatometry. The kinetic parameters for austenite formation were determined from the dilatometry data by Johnson-Mehl- Avrami-Kolmogorov （JMAK） equation. The JMAK coefficients were determined for each condition of the investigated steels. The calculations indicated that the nucleation and growth of austenite in the surface region were accelerated more than 10,000 times due to a significantly smaller average prior austenite grain size, stability of initial retained austenite, and accumulation of coarse carbides at the surface. The results were discussed in the framework of classical nucleation and growth theories using the kinetic parameters for austenite formation.

HIV integration occurs in chromatin sites that favor the release of high levels of viral progeny;alternatively, the virus is alsoable to discreetly coexist with the host. The viral infection perturbs the cellular environment inducing the remodelling of thenuclear landscape. Indeed, HIV-1 triggers the nuclear clustering of the host factor CPSF6, but the underlying mechanism ispoorly understood. Our data indicate that HIV usurps a recently discovered biological phenomenon, called liquid–liquid phaseseparation, to hĳack the host cell. We observed CPSF6 clusters as part of HIV-induced membraneless organelles (HIV-1 MLOs) inmacrophages, one of the main HIV target cell types. We describe that HIV-1 MLOs follow phase-separation rules and representfunctional biomolecular condensates. We highlight HIV-1 MLOs as hubs of nuclear reverse transcription, while the double-strandedviral DNA, once formed, rapidly migrates outside these structures. Transcription-competent proviruses localize outside but nearHIV-1 MLOs in LEDGF-abundant regions, known to be active chromatin sites. Therefore, HIV-1 MLOs orchestrate viral events priorto the integration step and create a favorable environment for the viral replication. This study uncovers single functional host–viralcomplexes in their nuclear landscape, which is markedly restructured by HIV-1.
