Results of investigations of band structure, Fermi surface and effective masses of charge carriers in the ultrathin (monolayer graphene)/mnO(001) and mnO(001) films are presented using the method of the density functional theory. Features of spin states of valence band and Fermi level as well as an interatomic interaction in these systems are discussed. A magnetic moment at mn atom is estimated and an effect of spin polarization at atoms of oxygen and carbon has been revealed which natures are discussed. By calculations of structural energies for 2D (monolayer graphene)/mnO(001) and 2D mnO(001) a stability of these systems has been ascertained. In the 2D (monolayer graphene)/mnO(001) and 2D mnO(001) systems the band structure calculations for the 2D systems mentioned above point out that tensor components of effective masses of both electrons and holes are in the ranges of (0.15 - 0.54) m0 and (0.38 - 1.27) m0 respectively. mobility estimations of two-dimensional charge carriers for a 2D (monolayer graphene)/mnO(001)AF2 heterostructure have been performed.

Investigations are directed to the development of high-power sources ofUWB （ultrawideband） radiation based on excitation of anterma arrays with bipolar voltage pulses. In the previously designed high-power UWB sources only one bipolar pulse former and different feeder systems for pulse distribution through the array elements were used. By means of this approach, a number of UWB sources were created with the bipolar voltage pulse length ranging from 0.2 to 2 ns and effective potential of radiation ranging from 0.4 to 3 mV. The approach has got a restriction related to the electrical breakdown in a bipolar voltage pulse former. A new approach to the creation of high-power UWB sources based on a multicharmel bipolar pulse former is suggested： the number of bipolar pulse formers is equal to the number of antennas in the array. The main problem in realization of this approach is a stable operation of bipolar pulse formers in order to ensure a coherent summation of radiated pulses in the far-field zone. The result of this work is the instability of-150 ps at the pulse length of 3 ns obtained in a one-channel bipolar pulse former indicating that the suggested approach is realizable.

Change in the Pore Structure of Carbon-Carbon Composites during Successive Stages of High-Pressure Impregnation and Heat Treatment

Pore structure of C/C （Carbon-Carbon） composite after several stages of pitch impregnation under the high pressure and heat treatment was investigated by means of low temperature nitrogen adsorption and the standard contact porosimetry. Total pore volume, pore size distribution and specific surface area were calculated for samples of composite after several successive stages of treatment. The radius of pores presented in the material changes from 1 nm to 90 tam. Total pore volume and specific surface area both decrease after successive stages of pitch impregnation under the pressure, whereas heat treatment up to 1,750 ℃ and 2,000 ℃ leads to creation of some porous space and pore volume expansion. The bulk porosity of C/C composite comes down from 33.7% to 13.7% after the serial stages of treatment and the specific surface area is reduced by half compared to the initial material.

Atomic force microscopy (AFm) was used for the morphological characterization and precise height meas-urements of two-dimensional molecular layers of carbocyanine dye 3,3’-di(r-sulfopropyl)-4,4’,5,5’-dibenzo-9-ethylthiacarbocyanine betaine pyridinium salt. The AFm measurements reveal three morphological types of molecular aggregates: leaves, stripes and spots. The leaves are stripes have same monolayer height ~1.4 nm and different crystal shapes: the leaves are monoloyers with the lens shape and the stripes are bilay-ers with the shape of extended rectangles. The monolayer height ~1.4 nm was interpreted as indicating the symmetrical packing arrangement of dye molecules. In the symmetrical monolayer, the sulfopropyl groups of all-trans monomer units are located on both monolayer sides whereas the adjacent stacked dye molecules have a lateral slippage providing the J-aggregate optical properties. The lower height of spots ~1 nm was explained by the model of an asymmetric monolayer with sulfopropyl groups of all-trans monomers occupy-ing the same position with respect to the monolayer plane. The packing arrangement of all-trans monomers in the asymmetric monolayer corresponds to H-aggregate. The alternative models of the packing arrange-ment in monolayers with mono-cis1 monomer configuration are discussed.

Action of Gaseous Nitric Oxide on Some Physical and Chemical Parameters of Human Blood Samples

We studied the metabolic changes induced by gaseous nitric oxide in whole blood samples in vitro. Blood samples were collected from healthy donors (Nizhny Novgorod station of blood transfusion). We carried out the direct bubbling of blood samples (n = 14) with gaseous flow with NO in a special appliance. We modeled standard conditions using the apparatus “Plazon” (concentration NO 800 mcg/l). middle power of gas flow was used. The blood sparging time was 2 min, and exposition time lasted 3 min. Every blood sample volume was 5 ml. All the parameters were controlled before and after blood processing with NO. We tested lactate dehydrogenase activity in direct and reverse reactions spectrometrically by G. A. Kochetov’s method. Aldehyde dehydrogenase activity was examined by B. m. Kershnhots’s and E. V. Serkina’s methods, superoxide dismutase—by T. V. Sirota’s technology. Total protein level was examined by modified Louri’s method. The concentration of lactate was tested with the automatic analyzer “SuperGL Ambulance”. The indices of acidbase balance and blood gases partial pressure were estimated with special analyzer “ABL-77”. Additional control of energy metabolism changes was accomplished with derivative parameters, such as coefficient of energy reaction balance and coefficient of substrate provision. Different changes of blood physical and chemical parameters are induced by NO-processing which was fixed in our experiments. There is an inhibition of erythrocytes energy metabolism, decreasing of plasma antioxidant reserves, moderate ionic disorders and of acid-base misbalance in blood samples in vitro. Besides, according to the indirect signs, the used regimen of NO-processing mainly affected erythrocytes, and stipulated methemoglobin formation. These data testify that the used dose of gaseous nitric oxide is too high for investigated human blood. Light–matter interactions can be strongly modified by the surrounding ***,we report on the first experimental observation of molecular spontaneous emission inside a highly non-local metamaterial based on a plasmonic nanorod *** show that the emission process is dominated not only by the topology of its local effective medium dispersion,but also by the non-local response of the composite,so that metamaterials with different geometric parameters but the same local effective medium properties exhibit different Purcell factors.A record-high enhancement of a decay rate is observed,in agreement with the developed quantitative description of the Purcell effect in a non-local *** engineered material non-locality introduces an additional degree of freedom into quantum electrodynamics,enabling new applications in quantum information processing,photochemistry,imaging and sensing with macroscopic composites.

We developed an experimental model of a cyclic feeding regime (CFR) that increased a lifespan in rats. The manifestations of oxidative stress and their interrelation with parameters of cell immunity were assessed in rats at CFR. It is shown that changes of body mass, liver mass and indexes of pro/antioxidant system after periods of starving—ad libitum nutrition at CFR diet in old animals were less pronounced than in young animals. The body mass loss of 30% in 14 days was accompanied by oxidative stress. Indexes of phagocytosis did not change, but activity of oxidase system of neutrophil was increased in 2 times. The response of metabolic and physiological systems on repeat starving—ad libitum nutrition cycles differs from the response to the initial cycle of CFR. This is interpreted as a change of adaptation strategy and the effect of metabolic memory, which influences the choice of organism strategy of adaptation for subsequent starving. The dynamics of change of the studied indexes in response to CFR was age-dependent. It was supposed that different answer to CFR in young and old animals is determined by the different amount of carbon and fat depots in young and old animals.
