Carbon fiber yarns（CFY） are promising as a new type of flexible building blocks for the construction of flexible architectures for the energy storage applications. The main hurdle with CFY is how to make them high energy and power capable by using economically and environmentally viable materials. Here,we report reduced graphene oxide（r GO） and Prussian blue（Pb） coated CFY, derived from a facile electrochemical process at room temperature for supercapacitor electrodes. The Pb coated CFY and r GO coated CFY electrodes exhibit the excellent gravimetric capacitance of 339 F/g and 160.2 F/g, respectively, in aqueous KCl electrolyte in three-electrode cell configuration. When we coupled these electrodes inside the flexible plastic tube and separated by the electrolyte wet filter paper in order to construct flexible architecture, the resulting device delivers excellent specific energy of 52.1 Wh/kg and 26.5 Wh/kg with offering specific power of 3100 W/kg and 14400 W/kg respectively, under a wide operating potential of1.8 V with excellent rate capability. The device shows high tolerance towards bending, and retained its efficiency to the capacitance after being bent at an angle of 360° for 200 bending cycles.

Spinal cord injury results in the loss of sensory,motor,and autonomic functions,which almost always produces permanent physical ***,in the search for more effective treatments than those already applied for years,which are not entirely efficient,researches have been able to demonstrate the potential of biological strategies using biomaterials to tissue manufacturing through bioengineering and stem cell therapy as a neuroregenerative approach,seeking to promote neuronal recovery after spinal cord *** of these strategies has been developed and meticulously evaluated in several animal models with the aim of analyzing the potential of interventions for neuronal repair and,consequently,boosting functional *** the majority of experimental research has been conducted in rodents,there is increasing recognition of the importance,and need,of evaluating the safety and efficacy of these interventions in non-human primates before moving to clinical trials involving therapies potentially promising in *** article is a literature review from databases(Pubmed,Science Direct,Elsevier,Scielo,Redalyc,Cochrane,and NCbI)from 10 years ago to date,using keywords(spinal cord injury,cell therapy,non-human primates,humans,and bioengineering in spinal cord injury).From 110 retrieved articles,after two selection rounds based on inclusion and exclusion criteria,21 articles were ***,this review arises from the need to recognize the experimental therapeutic advances applied in non-human primates and even humans,aimed at deepening these strategies and identifying the advantages and influence of the results on extrapolation for clinical applicability in humans.

In-situ alloy development during surface processing allows for a limitless materials selection to protect components exposed to severe service conditions. In fact surface alloying offers the possibility to strengthen surface components with alloys that would not be possible to process otherwise. This work used Plasma transferred arc (PTA) hardfacing for surface alloying. Different amounts of aluminium powder, 5-25%, were added to a Ni based superalloy, from Hastealloy C family, in the atomized form. The mixture was homogeneized in a ball mill and PTA deposited on carbon steel substrate. The influence of different processing parameters on the final surface alloy was evaluated as current intensity and depositing velocity were varied. Coatings were characterized by optical and scanning electronic microscopy, X-ray diffraction and Vickers microhardness profiles, under a 500g load. Results showed that PTA hardfacing is an adequate surface alloying. For the conditions tested increasing hardness was obtained by solid solution for the lower amounts of Al added and due to the new intermetallic phases for the richer Al mixture.

In this work a comparative bioadsorption study between a biocomposite consisting of hydrolysed vineyard pruning waste entrapped in calcium alginate spheres and non entrapped vineyard residue was carried *** have demonstrated that the biocomposite based on lignocellulose-calcium alginate spheres removed 77.3% of dyes,while non entrapped lignocellulose eliminated only removed 27.8% of colour *** experimental data were fitted to several kinetic models（pseudo-first order,pseudo-second order,Chien-Clayton model,intraparticle diffusion model and bangham model）; being pseudo-second order the kinetic model that better described the adsorption of dyes onto both *** addition,a morphological study（roughness and shape） of alginate-vineyard biocomposite was established under extreme conditions,observing significant differences between hydrated and dehydrated alginate-vineyard *** techniques used to carry out this morphological study consisted of scanning electron microscopy（SEm）,perfilometry and 3D surface analysis.

The performances of the response surface methodology(RSm)in connection with the box–behnken,face central composite or full factorial design(bbD,FCCD or FFD,respectively)were compared for the use in modeling of the NaOH-catalyzed sunflower oil *** influence of temperature,catalyst loading,and ethanol-to-oil molar ratio(EOmR)on fatty acid ethyl esters(FAEE)content was *** three multivariate strategies were efficient in the statistical modeling and optimization of the influential process variables but bbD and FCCD realization involved less number of experiments,generating smaller costs,requiring less work and consuming shorter time than the corresponding *** three designs resulted in the same optimal catalyst loading(1.25%of oil)and EOmR(12:1).The reduced two-factorinteraction(2 FI)models based on the bbD and FCCD defined a range of optimal reaction temperature(25℃–75℃)and 25℃,respectively while the same model based on the 33 FFD appointed 75℃.The predicted FAEE content of about 97%–98.0%was close to the experimentally obtained FAEE content of about 97.0%–97.6%under the optimal reaction ***,the simpler bbD or FCCD might successfully be applied for statistical modeling of biodiesel production processes instead of the more extensive,more laborious and more expensive FFD.

Here we give the complete description of the symmetry group and transitive properties of the set of all of monohedral triangulations of the Riemannian sphere by f-tilings. We shall also show that each monohedral f-tiling of the Riemannian sphere can be seen, up to a spherical isometry, as the singular set of a spherical isometric folding.

The troposphere affects Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)signals due to the variability of the refractive *** delay is a function of the satellite elevation angle and the altitude of the GNSS receiver and depends on the atmospheric *** the residual tropospheric delay is not modelled carefully a bias error will occur in the vertical *** order to analyse the precise altimetric positioning based on a local active network,four scenarios in Southern Spain with different topographical,environmental,and meteorological conditions are presented,considering both favourable and non-favourable *** use of surface meteorological observations allows us to take into account the tropospheric conditions instead of a standard atmosphere,but introduces a residual tropospheric bias which reduces the accuracy of precise GNSS ***,with short observation times it is recommended not to estimate troposphere parameters,but to use an a priori model together with the standard *** results confirm that it is possible to achieve centimetre-scale vertical accuracy and precision with real time kinematic positioning even with large elevation differences with respect to the nearest reference *** numerical results may be taken into consideration for improving the altimetric configuration of the local active network.

Elesclomol (ELC) is an anticancer drug inducing mitochondria cytotoxicity through reactive oxygen ***,for the first time,we encapsulate the poorly water soluble ELC in monoolein-based cubosomes stabilized with Pluronic *** uptake and nanocarrier accumulation close to the mitochondria with sub-micrometer distance is identified via three-dimensional (3D) confocal microscopy and edge-to-edge compartment *** monitor the therapeutic effect of the ELC nanocarrier,we apply for the first time,label-free time-lapse multi-photon fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (mP-FLIm) to track NAD(P)H cofactors with sub-cellular resolution on live cells exposed to an anticancer *** in vitro cytotoxicity is verified when loading the pre-complexed ELC with copper (ELC-Cu).Importantly,for equivalent copper concentration,cubosomes loaded with ELC-Cu show higher cytotoxicity compared to the free *** novel nanocarrier shows promising features for systemic ELC-Cu administration,and furthermore we establish the mP-FLIm technique for the assessment of anticancer drug delivery systems.
