This study deals with the influence of surface roughness on the color of resin *** resin composites (microfilled,hybrid,and microhybrid) were each polished with 500-grit,1 200-grit,2 000-grit,and 4 000-grit SiC *** roughness parameter (Ra) was measured using a Plμ confocal microscope,and field-emission scanning electron microscope (Fe-SEM) images were used to investigate filler *** was measured using a spectroradiometer and a D65 standard illuminant (geometry diffuse/0° specular component excluded (SCE) mode).Surface roughness decreased with grit number and was not influenced by filler size or size distribution.A significant influence of Ra on lightness (L*) was *** increased with decreases in roughness,except for specimens that underwent polishing procedure 4 (PP4;500-grit,1 200-grit,2 000-grit,and 4 000-grit SiC papers consecutively).Generally,it was found that surface roughness influenced the color of resin *** composites that underwent PP1 (500-grit SiC paper) exhibited significant differences in chroma (C*),hue (h°),and lightness (L*) compared to composites that underwent PP3 (500-grit,1 200-grit,and 2 000-grit SiC papers consecutively) and *** difference (E*) between the polishing procedures was within acceptability thresholds in dentistry.

In this study,310 destructively sampled plots were used to develop two equation systems for the three main pine species in NW Spain(***;*** and ***):one for estimating loads of understorey fuel components by size and condition(live and dead)and another one for forest floor *** systems of equations were simultaneously fitted for estimating fuel loads using overstorey,understorey and forest floor variables as *** systems of equations included both the effect of pine species and the effect of understorey compositions dominated by ferns-brambles or by woody species,due to their obvious structural and physiological *** general,the goodness-of-fit statistics indicated that the estimates were reasonably robust and accurate for all of the fuel *** best results were obtained for total understorey vegetation,total forest floor and raw humus fuel loads,with more than 76%of the observed variability explained,whereas the poorest results were obtained for coarse fuel loads of understory vegetation with a 53%of observed variability *** reduce the overall costs associated with the field inventories necessary for operational use of the models,the additive systems were fitted again using only overstorey variables as potential *** relationships for fine(<6 mm)and total understorey vegetation and total forest floor fuel loads were obtained,indicating the complexity of the forest overstorey-understorey and overstorey-forest floor ***,these models explained around 52%of the observed ***,equations estimating the total understorey vegetation and the total forest floor fuel loads based only on canopy cover were *** models explained only 26%-32%of the observed variability;however,their main advantage is that although understorey vegetation in forested landscapes is largely invisible to remote sensing,canopy cover can be estimated with moderate accuracy,allowin

Objective:To determine the prevalence of Cysticercus tenuicollis(***) metacestodes in five oryx species kept in A1 Ain Zoo animal ***:This study was based on a retrospective analysis of post-mortem records covering a four year period(July 2010 to July 2014).Results:A total of 213 individual animals were recorded dead during the four year period(July 2010 to July 2014).Out of this,12(5.6%) were recorded with *** females(8) than males(4) were recorded to have ***,although this was not statistically significant(P= 0.3737).Conclusions:This study shows that,Arabian oryx,beisa oryx,fringe-eared oryx,gemsbok and scimitar-horned oryx are susceptible to *** on the epidemiology and the life cycle of this parasite,it is possible that these captive animals ingested the parasite through contaminated feed which could have happened in the pasture land or stray dogs and wild canidae(***) visited the zoo contaminating the oryx *** dogs and wild canidae should be prevented from visiting pasture land and a captive animal facility.

Background and objectives:Lung cancer(LC)is the leading cause of cancer *** treated with chemotherapy are at risk of developing chemotherapy-induced febrile neutropenia(FN),a potentially life-threatening *** aims of this study were(1)to characterize FN admissions of patients with LC in a pulmonology department,and(2)to determine associations between patient profiles,first-line antibiotic failure(FLAF)and ***:Retrospective observational case-series,based on the analysis of medical records of LC patients that required hospitalization due to chemotherapy-induced ***:A total of 42 cases of FN were revised,corresponding to 36 patients,of which 86.1%were male,with a mean age of 66.71±9.83 *** patients had a performance status(ps)equal or less than 1,and metastatic disease was present in 40.5%(n=17).Respiratory tract infections accounted for 42.9%(n=18)of FN cases,and multidrug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus was the most isolated *** mortality rate was 16.7%(n=7),and the FLAF was 26.2%(n=11).Mortality was associated with a ps≥2(P=0.011),infection by a Gram-negative agent(P=0.001)and severe anemia(P=0.048).FLAF was associated with longer hospitalizations(P=0.020),ps≥2(P=0.049),respiratory infections(P=0.024),and infection by a Gram-negative(P=0.003)or multidrug-resistant agent(P=0.014).Conclusions:Lower ps,severe anemia,and infections by Gram-negative or multi-resistant agents seem to be associated with worse outcomes in FN patients.

This research was designed to analyze the possible associations of Arg389 Gly ADRB1 and Trp64 Arg ADRB3polymorphisms in children with obesity.A cross-sectional study included 1,046 school-age Mexican participants（6-12 years old） from the cities of San Luis Potosi and *** were classified as non-obese or obese according to their body mass index（BMI） percentile;obese children had a BMI≥95th percentile for sex and *** data were *** were detected using TaqMan qPCR assay.A logistic regression analysis was used to calculate the risk of obesity based on *** were found between groups where obese children had a significant increase in systolic and diastolic blood pressure,fasting plasma glucose,insulin,HOMAIR,LDL-cholesterol,triglycerides,and lower HDL-cholesterol compared with the normal weight group（P 〈 0.05）.The distribution of allele frequency in the population was Arg = 87.4 and Gly = 12.6（Hardy Weinberg equilibrium x^2= 3.16,P = 0.07）;Trp = 81.5 and Arg= 18.5（Hardy Weinberg equilibrium x^2 = 2.2,P = 0.14） for ADRB1 and ADRB3,*** though no different frequencies of Arg389 Gly polymoiphism between groups were found（P = 0.08）,children carriers of one Gly389,ADRB1 allele had a risk for obesity of OR = 1.40（95%CI,1.03-1.90,P =0.03） after adjustment for age and *** other association was found for Trp64 Arg ADRB3 *** the Arg389 Gly ADRB1 polymorphism was associated with risk for obesity in Mexican children.
