A hypersurface x: M→S^(n+1) without umbilic point is called a Mbius isoparametric hypersurface if its Mbius form Φ=-ρ^(-2)∑_i(ei(H)+∑_j(h_(ij)-Hδ_(ij))e_j(logρ))θ_i vanishes and its Mbius shape operator S=ρ^(-1)(S-Hid) has constant eigenvalues. Here {e_i} is a local orthonormal basis for I=dx·dx with dual basis {θ_i}, II=∑_(ij)h_(ij)θ_iθ_J is the second fundamental form, H=1/n∑_i h_(ij), ρ~2=n/(n-1)(‖II‖~2-nH^2) and S is the shape operator of x. It is clear that any conformal image of a (Euclidean) isoparametric hypersurface in S^(n+1) is a Mbius isoparametric hypersurface, but the converse is not true. In this paper we classify all Mbius isoparametric hypersurfaces in S^(n+1) with two distinct principal curvatures up to Mbius transformations. By using a theorem of Thorbergsson [1] we also show that the number of distinct principal curvatures of a compact Mbius isoparametric hypersurface embedded in S^(n+1) can take only the values 2, 3, 4, 6.

Growth differentiation factor 11 （GDF11） is an important circulating factor that regulates aging. However, the role of GDF11 in bone metabolism remains unclear. The present study was undertaken to investigate the relationship between serum GDF11 level, bone mass, and bone turnover markers in postmenopausal Chinese women. Serum GDF11 level, bone turnover biochemical markers, and bone mineral density （BMD） were determined in 169 postmenopausal Chinese women （47-78 years old）. GDF11 serum levels increased with aging. There were negative correlations between GDF11 and BMD at the various skeletal sites. After adjusting for age and body mass index （BMI）, the correlations remained statistically significant. In the multiple linear stepwise regression analysis, age or years since menopause, BMI, GDF11, and estradiol were independent predictors of BMD. A significant negative correlation between GDF11 and bone alkaline phosphatase （BAp） was identified and remained significant after adjusting for age and BMI. No significant correlation was noted between cross-linked N-telopeptides of type I collagen （NTX） and GDF11. In conclusion, GDF11 is an independent negative predictor of BMD and correlates with a biomarker of bone formation, BAp, in postmenopausal Chinese women. GDF11 potentially exerts a negative effect on bone mass by regulating bone formation.

For the past few years,bacteria that are grown in high-salt environment have been a focus of extremophiles *** are distributed widely in different habitats and possess unique physiological *** this study,we obtained 97 halophilic or halotolerant eubacteria from saline-alkali soil in Shache County,Xinjiang province,china,by selective *** analysis of the partial sequences indicated that the isolates were affiliated with 19 genera of three *** 97 strains were screened for amylase,lipase,gelatinase and ***-five strains were lipase producers,27 gelatinase producers,31 amylase producers,and none were cellulase *** hydrolytic activities were detected in some ***-one isolates presented with two or more activities,but only five isolates presented with three hydrolytic *** the tolerability tests of amylase and lipase,we found that most of the isolates presented the highest amylase activity at 10% NaCl,pH 7.0 and 40°C,and the highest lipase activity at 5-10% NaCl,pH 8.0 and 30°C.

Hypertension is the leading risk factor for death and disability, and hypertensive patients always need long-term oral antihypertensive drugs. Some bioactive peptides that extracted from animals or plants have shown excellent advantages on antihypertension. However, the oral delivery of these peptides is always failure on account of instability and poor absorption in the gastrointestinal tract. Herein, we developed a core-shell lipid-polymeric nanoparticle for oral delivery of a highly efficient antihypertensive peptide KY5(KY5-CSs). KY5-CSs had a particle size of 216.7 ± 2.5 nm, with a narrow pDI of 0.07 ± *** zeta potential was-4.1 ± 0.1 m V. It exhibited good stability in 4 ℃ and possessed a controlled release behavior in gastrointestinal tract. The cellular uptake study proved that the lipid shell imparted unique capability of permeation across the mucus layer and internalization by Caco-2/HT-29 cells. In addition, KY5-CSs enhanced in situ intestinal absorption in SD rats. The pharmacokinetic studies and antihypertensive efficacy showed a superior oral absorption and antihypertensive effect of KY5-CSs than KY5-Nps. In conclusion, the core-shell lipid-polymeric nanoparticles will provide attractive potential for oral delivery of antihypertensive peptides.
