Today,due to the pandemic of COVID-19 the entire world is facing a serious health *** to the World Health Organization(WHO),people in public places should wear a face mask to control the rapid transmission of *** governmental bodies of different countries imposed that wearing a face mask is compulsory in public ***,it is very difficult to manually monitor people in overcrowded *** research focuses on providing a solution to enforce one of the important preventative measures of COVID-19 in public places,by presenting an automated system that automatically localizes masked and unmasked human faces within an image or video of an area which assist in this outbreak of *** paper demonstrates a transfer learning approach with the Faster-RCNN model to detect faces that are masked or *** proposed framework is built by fine-tuning the state-of-the-art deep learning model,Faster-RCNN,and has been validated on a publicly available dataset named Face Mask Dataset(FMD)and achieving the highest average precision(AP)of 81%and highest average Recall(AR)of 84%.This shows the strong robustness and capabilities of the Faster-RCNN model to detect individuals with masked and un-masked ***,this work applies to real-time and can be implemented in any public service area.

Dust Plasma Effect on the Etching Process of Si[100] by Ultra Low Frequency RF Plasma

Dust-plasma interactions play vital roles in numerous observed phenomena in the space environment, their scope in the industrial laboratory has grown rapidly in recent times to include such diverse areas as materials processing, microelectronics, lighting and nuclear fusion. The etching processes of Si wafer has been studied using Ultra low frequency RF plasma (ULFP) at (1 KHz) by two different techniques namely: ion etching using inert gas only (e.g., argon gas), and ion chemical etching using an active gas (beside the inert gas) such as oxygen. In the case of large dust particle, the dust might act as a floating body in the plasma collecting equal fluxes of electrons and ions. The velocity of the ions flux out from the mesh (cathode) and cause ion sputtering for the sample (Si-Wafer) measured, moreover the rate coefficient for collection of electrons and ions by dust (K) is calculated here, the presence of dust, however, may itself cause loss process. As the plasma density increases, the etching rate increases and the volumetric rate of loss of electron and ions due to dust particle increases (K). A comparison between the volumetric rate of loss (K) due to ion chemical etching (75% Ar/25% O2) and ion etching (Pure Ar) has been carried out.

Adaptive Internal Model Control of a DC Motor Drive System Using Dynamic Neural Network

This work concerns the study of problems relating to the adaptive internal model control of DC motor in both cases conventional and neural. The most important aspects of design building blocks of adaptive internal model control are the choice of architectures, learning algorithms, and examples of learning. The choice of parametric adaptation algorithm for updating elements of the conventional adaptive internal model control shows limitations. To overcome these limitations, we chose the architectures of neural networks deduced from the conventional models and the Levenberg-marquardt during the adjustment of system parameters of the adaptive neural internal model control. The results of this latest control showed compensation for disturbance, good trajectory tracking performance and system stability.

Background: Poor postoperative pain control leads to longer postoperative care, longer hospital stay and decreased patient overall satisfaction. Aim: To compare the efficacy and safety of bilateral ultrasound-guided quadratus lumborum block versus lumbar epidural block on the management of postoperative pain following major lower abdominal cancer surgery. Methods: The study was a double-blinded, and randomized study, conducted in South Egypt Cancer Institute, Assiut University, Egypt. It included cancer patients scheduled for major lower abdominal cancer surgery in the period from 2019 to 2020. They were divided into two groups: Group Ι received pre-emptive ultrasound-guided Quadratus Lumborum Block (QLB) with 25 mL of 0.25% bupivacaine on each side of the abdominal wall before induction of General Anesthesia (GA), and Group II received pre-emptive lumbar epidural block with 15 mL of 0.25% bupivacaine before induction of GA. VAS score, and time of the first analgesic request and postoperative total analgesic consumption were evaluated. Results: Sixty patients were included in our study. Using MODIS Images and TRMM Data to Correlate Rainfall Peaks and Water Discharges from the Lebanese Coastal Rivers

Water flows from rivers into the sea (plumes) is a common phenomenon in many coastal zones. The hydro-logic behavior of plumes differs from one river to another depending on rainfall rate and intensity, as well as it is influenced by the hydrologic characteristics of river basin. In order to investigate the precipitation re-gime in a drainage basin versus the flow into the sea, sequential data must be available. Remotely sensed data can fulfill this scope, thus it can provide climatic and hydrologic data. The scope of this study is to monitor the behavior of water input in the catchments versus the output from rivers in the Lebanese coastal zone using remote sensing data. For this purpose, TRMM (Tropical Rainfall Mapping Mission) data and MODIS satellite images were used. Hence, rainfall data from TRMM was compared with the areal extent of water plumes from rivers. This enables establishing interpolation between water input/output for each river basin. In addition, the lag time and residence time of plumes into the sea can be measured and compared between the issuing rivers. The extracted data from remote sensing was compared with terrain measures and shows its reliability and accordance. The used approach proved to be creditable, non-invasive and cost effec-tive and can be applied to other costal river basins.

鱼类性别控制研究是现代水产养殖的热点。金钱鱼(Scatophagus argus,Linnaeus,1766)是一种广盐性鱼类,可作观赏鱼和食用鱼,在养殖群体中性比为1:1。金钱鱼雌鱼的生长比雄鱼快,个体大,有更好经济价值。因此,克隆性别决定主效基因(master sex-determination gene,SD)将有助于金钱鱼的性别控制。本研究旨在研究金钱鱼的性别决定和分化机制,并为以后的单性(全雌鱼)金钱鱼培育提供理论基础。下面为本研究的主要发现:1、金钱鱼性别特异性标记的开发和性别决定候选基因的克隆本研究克隆了金钱鱼Dmrt1(Dmrt1和Dmrt1b)和Dmrt3(Dmrt3和Dmrt3△-Y)的两个亚型。本研究开发了两个位于金钱鱼Dmrt3和Dmrt1上的性别连锁分子标记,分别命名为Dmrt3-Marker-F/R和Dmrt1-Marker-F/R。Dmrt3-Marker-F/R扩增的片段包含能导致截短型Dmrt3(Dmrt3△-Y)c DNA提前编码终止的基因组序列。Dmrt3-Marker-F/R扩增片段的151和166 bp单核苷酸多态性(SNP)显示雌性个体均为CC GG纯合型,而雄性个体均为CG GA杂合型。标记Dmrt3-Marker-F/R扩增片段的166bp是Dmrt3基因内含子的起始位置,该处SNP(c.400+1G>A)会导致Dmrt3产生截短突变。截短型Dmrt3与雄性性别连锁,因此命名为Dmrt3△-Y,它的等位基因即正常Dmrt3位于X染色体。克隆了一个正常的Dmrt1和一个截短的Dmrt1b,它们分别编码300和89个氨基酸。多重序列比较分析显示Dmrt1和Dmrt1b都具有其它物种保守的DM结构域。Dmrt1-Marker-F/R引物扩增片段为正常Dmrt1外显子2和3之间的片段,PCR产物大小为3.2 kb,且雄性特异,表明Dmrt1可能位于Y染色体上。Dmrt1b-Marker-F/R引物能够扩增1.5 kb Dmrt1b的基因组序列,雌雄均能扩增,雌雄个体序列相似度高达99%,表明Dmrt1b并非性别特异,它可能位于X染色体。RT-PCR分析发现Dmrt1只在精巢表达,而Dmrt3△-Y只在部分精巢微弱表达,而在卵巢不表达。研究初步表明雄性特异Dmrt1是金钱鱼的性别决定候选基因。Dmrt3-Marker-F/R和Dmrt1-Marker-F/R标记均在来自中国5个群体的246尾金钱鱼(113雄和133雌)中验证。后面,Dmrt1-Marker-F/R标记又在2000多尾金钱鱼中继续验证。2、金钱鱼中Gsdf的克隆表达分析及Dmrt对它的转录调控分析克隆了金钱鱼Gsdf部分c DNA序列,包含了开放阅读框654 bp,编码217个氨基酸。金钱鱼Gsdf的TGF-β含有保守的半胱氨酸残基。组织分布分析表明,金钱鱼Gsdf仅在性腺组织中表达,且其在精巢中的表达显著高于卵巢。通过实时定量PCR分析Gsdf,Dmrt1和Sf1在性腺不同发育阶段的表达水平。结果表明,Gsdf在V期精巢中的表达明显低于III期和IV期,但其V期精巢中表达水平远高于II期、III期和IV期卵巢。在卵巢中,Gsdf在II期表达最高。Dmrt1在精巢(III期、IV期和V期)的表达显著高于各期卵巢(II期、III期和IV期)。在雌鱼中,Sf1在III期的卵巢中高表达,而在精巢不同时期(在III期、IV期和V期)的表达无差异。在这项研究中,制备了山羊抗金钱鱼Gsdf抗体,免疫蛋白印迹(WB)结果表明,Gsdf在精巢中的表达比卵巢高。免疫组织化学(IHC)研究显示,Gsdf仅在II,III,IV和V期精巢的支持细胞中表达。在雌鱼中,Gsdf仅在I期,II期和III期卵巢的体细胞中表达,而在IV期卵巢几乎检测不到,表明卵巢后期Gsdf的蛋白质表达水平较低。金钱鱼Gsdf启动子的序列分析发现在-2647,-2333,-1789,-1555,-751,-201bp处共有六个Sf1结合位点,在-413 bp处有一个Dmrt1结合位点。此外,使用HEK293细胞进行启动子分析显示Sf1单独能以剂量依赖方式激活Gsdf转录,而Dmrt1单独不能激活Gsdf基因转录。当Dmrt1与Sf1共转染时,Dmrt1能够以剂量依赖性方式激活Gsdf表达。Dmrt1或Sf1结合位点的突变,都会导致Gsdf启动子活性显著降低。这些结果充分证明Dmrt1或Sf1推断的结合位点是激活金钱鱼Gsdf转录调控所必需的。结论:综上所述,在本研究中开发了两个性别特异的标记,表明金钱鱼是XX-XY性别决定系统。Dmrt3-Marker-F/R和Dmrt1-Marker-F/R分别位于Dmrt3和Dmrt1基因座内。Dmrt1b和Dmrt3位于X染色体上,而

Lyapunov-Based Dynamic Neural Network for Adaptive Control of Complex Systems

In this paper, an adaptive neuro-control structure for complex dynamic system is proposed. A recurrent Neural Network is trained-off-line to learn the inverse dynamics of the system from the observation of the input-output data. The direct adaptive approach is performed after the training process is achieved. A lyapunov-Base training algorithm is proposed and used to adjust on-line the network weights so that the neural model output follows the desired one. The simulation results obtained verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

Dietary supplementation of some antioxidants against hypoxia

The present study aims to clarify the protective effect of supplementation with some antioxidants,such as idebenone(200 mg/kg,ip),melatonin(10 mg/kg,ip) and arginine(200 mg/kg,ip) and their combination,on liver function(***,albumin,alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase and alkaline phosphatase),energetic parameters(adenosine triphosphate,adenosine diphosphate,adenosine monophosphate,inorganic phosphate,total adenylate,adenylate energy charge and potential phosphate).The effect on glycolytic and glycogenolytic enzymes(glucose,glycogen,glycogen phosphorylase,pyruvate kinase and phosphofructokinase against hypoxia) was also *** drugs were administered 24 and 1 h prior sodium nitrite *** biochemical parameters were estimated 1 h after sodium nitrite *** of sodium nitrite(75 mg/kg,sc) produced a significant disturbance in all biochemical parameters of liver function,energetic parameters and glycolytic and glycogenolytic *** damage was confirmed by histopathological examination of the liver as compared to *** marked changes in hepatic cells induced by sodium nitrite were completely abolished by pretreatment with the drug combination,suggesting potential protection against sodium nitrite-induced *** could be concluded that a combination of both idebenone and melatonin or idebenone and arginine provides potential protection against sodium nitrite-induced hypoxia by improving biochemical parameters and preserving liver histology.

Estimating the Efficiency of Summer Tomatoes Production: A Case Study in Borg El-Arab Area, Egypt

Tomatoes are one of the most popular and widely consumed vegetable crops worldwide. Egypt is characterized by its tomatoes production, whether for domestic use or export. Summer tomato farmers’ income has recently been reduced due to high production costs, particularly in new lands. As a result, the purpose of this research is to evaluate the economic efficiency of the elements used in summer tomato production in the Borg El-Arab area of Egypt as a new land. According to the findings, the summer tomato crop produced a reasonable profit for small-holding farmers in the study area. However, the elements are being used excessively in the production process, particularly seeds and fertilizers, resulting in increased production costs and failure to achieve economic efficiency of the elements used in the study area.
