Th. effect of synth.sized nanostructures,including graph.ne oxide,ch.mically reduced graph.ne oxide with.sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS),ch.mically reduced graph.ne oxide with.polyvinylpyrrolidone,and multi-walled carbon nanotubes,on th. kinetics of meth.ne h.drate formation was investigated in th.s *** experiments were carried out at a pressure of 4.5 MPa and a temperature of 0 ℃ in a batch.*** adding nanostructures,th. induction time decreases,and th. sh.rtest induction time appeares at certain concentrations of reduced graph.ne oxide with.SDS and graph.ne oxide,th.t is,at a concentration of 360 ppm for reduced graph.ne oxide with.SDS and 180 ppm for graph.ne oxide,with.a 98% decrease in induction time compared to th.t in pure ***,utilization of carbon nanostructures increases th. amount and th. rate of meth.ne consumed during th. h.drate formation *** of multi-walled carbon nanotubes with.a concentration of 90 ppm sh.wes th. h.gh.st amount of meth.ne *** amount of meth.ne consumption increases by 173% in comparison with.th.t in pure *** addition of carbon nanostructures does not ch.nge th. storage capacity of meth.ne h.drate in th. h.drate formation process,wh.le th. percentage of water conversion to h.drate in th. presence of carbon nanotubes increases considerably,th. greatest value of wh.ch.occurres at a 90 ppm concentration of carbon nanotubes,th.t is,a 253% increase in th. presence of carbon nanotubes compared to th.t of pure water.

Th. pressure drop during production in th. near-wellbore zone of gas condensate reservoirs causes condensate formation in th.s *** blockage in th.s area causes an additional pressure drop th.t weakens th. effective parameters of production,such.as *** rock wettability alteration to gas-wet th.ough.ch.mical treatment is one of th. solutions to produce th.se condensates and eliminate condensate blockage in th. *** th.s study,an anionic fluorinated surfactant was synth.sized and used for ch.mical treatment and carbonate rock wettability *** synth.sized surfactant was ch.racterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and th.rmogravimetric ***,using surface tension tests,its critical micelle concentration(CMC)was *** angle experiments on ch.mically treated sections with.surfactant solutions and spontaneous imbibition were performed to investigate th. wettability *** adsorption on porous media was calculated using ***,th. surfactant foamability was investigated using a Ross-Miles foam *** to th. results,th. synth.sized surfactant h.s suitable th.rmal stability for use in gas condensate reservoirs.A CMC of 3500 ppm was obtained for th. surfactant based on th. surface tension *** angle experiments sh.w th. ability of th. surfactant to ch.mical treatment and wettability alteration of carbonate rocks to gas-wet so th.t at th. constant concentration of CMC and at 373 K,th. contact angles at treatment times of 30,60,120 and 240 min were obtained 87.94°,93.50°,99.79°and 106.03°,***,th.s ability varies at different surfactant concentrations and *** foamability test also sh.ws th. suitable stability of th. foam generated by th. surfactant,and a foam h.lf-life time of 13 min was obtained for th. surfactant at CMC.

In th.s paper, th. effect of adding different concentrations of kinetic inh.bitors on th. induction time of h.drogen sulfide h.drate formation in a reactor equipped with.automatic adjustable temperature controller is studied. A novel meth.d namely ＂sudden cooling＂ is used for performing th. relevant measurements, in wh.ch.th. induction time of h.S h.drate in th. presence/absence of PVP and L-tyrosine with.different concentrations （100, 500, and 1000 ppm） is determined. As a result, PVP with.th. concentration of 1000 ppm in aqueous solution is detected as a more suitable material for increasing th. induction time of h.S h.drate formation among th. investigated kinetic h.drate inh.bitors.

It is necessary to understand all th. prerequisites, wh.ch.result in gas h.drate formation for safe design and control of a variety of processes in petroleum industry. Th.rmodynamic h.drate inh.bitors (Th.s) are normally used to preclude gas h.drate formation by sh.fting h.drate stability region to lower temperatures and h.gh.r pressures. Sometimes, it is difficult to avoid h.drate formation and h.drates will form anyway. In th.s situation, kinetic h.drate inh.bitors (Kh.s) can be used to postpone formation of gas h.drates by retarding h.drate nucleation and growth.rate. In th.s study, two kinetic parameters including natural gas h.drate formation induction time and th. rate of gas consumption were experimentally investigated in th. presence of monoeth.lene glycol (MEG), L-tyrosine, and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) at various concentrations in aqueous solutions. Since h.drate formation is a stoch.stic ph.nomenon, th. repeatability of each.kinetic parameter was evaluated several times and th. average values for th. h.drate formation induction times and th. rates of gas consumption are reported. Th. results indicate th.t from th. view point of h.drate formation induction time, 2 wt% PVP and 20 wt% MEG aqueous solutions h.ve th. h.gh.st values and are th. best ch.ices. It is also interpreted from th. results th.t from th. view point of th. rate of gas consumption, 20 wt% MEG aqueous solution yields th. lowest value and is th. best ch.ice. Finally, it is concluded th.t th. combination of PVP and MEG in an aqueous solution h.s a simultaneous synergistic impact on natural gas h.drate formation induction time and th. rate of gas consumption. Furth.rmore, a semi-empirical model based on ch.mical kinetic th.ory is applied to evaluate th. h.drate formation induction time data. A good agreement between th. experimental and calculated h.drate formation induction time data is observed.

In th.s work, th. effects of th.ee ionic liquids(ILs), namely, 1-butyl-3-meth.limidazolium tetrafluoroborate, 1-butyl-3-meth.limidazolium dicyanamide and tetraeth.l-ammonium ch.oride, on meth.ne h.drate formation and dissociation kinetic parameters were studied. Th. kinetic parameters including th. initial rate of h.drate formation, h.drate stability at atmosph.ric pressure and h.drate storage capacity were evaluated. Th. experimental measurements were performed in an initial pressure range of 3.5-7.1 MPa. It was found th.t both.of ILs with.imidazolium-based cation increase th. initial meth.ne h.drate formation rate wh.le th. IL with.ammonium-based cation leads to a decrease in th. initial meth.ne h.drate formation rate. It was also interpreted from th. results th.t all of th. th.ee studied ILs decrease meth.ne h.drate stability at atmosph.ric pressure and increase meth.ne h.drate storage capacity. Finally, both.of ILs with.imidazolium-based cations were found to h.ve h.gh.r impacts on decreasing h.drate stability at atmosph.ric pressure and increasing th. meth.ne h.drate storage capacity th.n th. applied IL with.ammonium-based cation.

Accurate gas viscosity determination is an important issue in th. oil and gas *** approach.s for gas viscosity measurement are timeconsuming,expensive and h.rdly possible at h.gh.pressures and h.gh.temperatures(h.h.).In th.s study,a number of correlations were developed to estimate gas viscosity by th. use of group meth.d of data h.ndling(GMDh.type neural network and gene expression programming(GEP)tech.iques using a large data set containing more th.n 3000 experimental data points for meth.ne,nitrogen,and h.drocarbon gas *** is worth.mentioning th.t unlike many of viscosity correlations,th. proposed ones in th.s study could compute gas viscosity at pressures ranging between 34 and 172 MPa and temperatures between 310 and 1300 ***,a comparison was performed between th. results of th.se establish.d models and th. results of ten wellknown models reported in th. *** absolute relative errors of GMDh.models were obtained 4.23%,0.64%,and 0.61%for h.drocarbon gas mixtures,meth.ne,and nitrogen,*** addition,graph.cal analyses indicate th.t th. GMDh.can predict gas viscosity with.h.gh.r accuracy th.n GEP at h.h. ***,using leverage tech.ique,valid,suspected and outlier data points were ***,trends of gas viscosity models at different conditions were evaluated.

Th. present paper renders a modeling and a 2D numerical simulation for th. removal of CO_2from CO_2/Ch.4gaseous stream utilizing sodium h.droxide(NaOh.,monoeth.nolamine(MEA)and trieth.nolamine(TEA)liquid absorbents inside th. h.llow fiber membrane ***-current arrangement of absorbing agents and CO_2/Ch.4gaseous mixture flows are implemented in th. modeling and numerical ***-wetting and partial wetting modes of operation are considered wh.re in th. partial wetting mode,CO_2/Ch.4gaseous mixture and liquid absorbents fill th. membrane *** deteriorated removal of CO_2in th. partial wetting mode of operation is mainly due to th. mass transfer resistance imposed by th. liquid in th. pores of *** validation of numerical simulation is done based on th. comparison of simulation results of CO_2removal using Na Oh.and experimental data under non-wetting mode of *** comparison illustrates a desirable agreement with.an average deviation of less th.n 5%.According to th. results,MEA provides h.gh.r efficiency for CO_2removal in comparison with.th. oth.r liquid *** order for CO_2removal performance is MEAN Na Oh. *** influence of non-wetting and partial wetting modes of operation on CO_2removal are evaluated in th.s article as one of th. ***,th. percentage of CO_2sequestration as a function of gas velocity for various percentages of membrane pores wetting ranging from 0(non-wetting mode of operation)to 100%(complete wetting mode of operation)is studied in th.s research.paper,wh.ch.can be proposed as th. oth.r *** results indicate th.t increase in some operational parameters such.as module length.membrane porosity and absorbents concentration encourage th. removal percentage of CO_2from CO_2/Ch.4gaseous mixture wh.le increasing in membrane tortuosity,gas velocity and initial CO_2concentration h.s unfavorable influence on th. separation efficiency of CO_2.

A vertical slot fish.ay(VSF)is among th. most effective and commonly used fish.ay structures to enable fish.to pass th.ough.artificial barriers such.as dams and weirs in th. ***,such.structures need furth.r improvements in providing better swimming conditions for fish.inside th. pool and enh.ncing attraction at th. ***,th. main objective of th.s study was to investigate th. influence of slope and wh.th.r integrating some cylinder structures inside th. fish.ay could enh.nce furth.r attraction and provide better swimming conditions for *** study consists of several numerical simulations,first considering th. fish.ay with.ut cylinder elements wh.le testing th.ee different slopes under two different ***,th. same numerical simulations were conducted,considering cylinder elements of different diameters and arrangements inside th. *** numerical model was validated by comparing computed velocities with.th.se measured experimentally from th. *** results sh.w th.t th. maximum velocity and turbulent kinetic energy(TKE)in th. main jet increase as th. disch.rge increases on th. same *** flow velocity and TKE decrease in th. areas inside th. pool and between th. two *** cylinder elements inside th. fish.ay reduces th. principal flow’s maximum ***,inside th. pool,low-velocity regions were expanding.A comparison between th. design with.a cylinder and th. simple VSF indicates th.t th. presence of a cylinder reduced th. maximum velocities for th. smallest and h.gh.st slopes by 6.21%and 9.86%on average,***,in terms of TKE,cylinders inside th. fish.ay could provide better performance th.n simple VSF,mainly for low-flow ***,th.s study’s solution-oriented findings provide insigh.s th.t could h.lp design cost-effective fish.ays by improving particularly fish.attraction to th. fish.ay.
