A generalized scheme for the construction of coherent states in the context of position-dependent effective mass systems has been presented. This formalism is based on the ladder operators and associated algebra of the system which are obtained using the concepts of supersymmetric quantum mechanics and the property of shape invariance. In order to exemplify the general results and to analyze the properties of the coherent states, several examples have been considered.

The aim of this study is to present a constitutive model for prediction of the mechanical behavior of fiberreinforced cemented sand. For this purpose, a generalized plasticity constitutive model of sandy soil is selected and the parameters of the model are determined for three types of sandy soils using the results of triaxial tests. Next, the proposed model is developed using the existing models based on the physicomechanical characteristics of fiber-reinforced cemented sand. The elastic parameters, flow rule and hardening law of the base model are modified for fiber-reinforced cemented sand. To verify the proposed model, the predicted results are compared with those of triaxial tests performed on fiber-reinforced cemented sand. Finally, the efficiency of the proposed model is studied at different confining pressures, and cement and fiber contents.

We develop generalized coherent states for a class of nonlinear oscillators with position-dependent effective mass in the context of the Gazeau–Klauder formalism and discuss some of their properties. In order to investigate the temporal evolution we first explore the statistical properties by means of weighting distribution and the Mandel parameter. It is found that the temporal evolution of the coherent states may exhibit the phenomena of quantum revivals and fractional revivals for a particular choice of position-dependent mass oscillator.

In this paper, design, re-design, and performance of a long-standing very deep excavation, which was originally planned to depth of 38 m, are presented. Over-digging was not planned in the original design,thus the reassessment was performed. Two main topics were followed: deepening to increase the maximum depth of an existent excavation from 38 m to 42.5 m, and feasibility for upgrading a predesigned support system from temporary to permanent support system. The geological investigations in the project site illustrated a type of stiff and cemented coarse-grained alluvium. An observational approach with additional geotechnical investigations and in situ tests was applied. Back analyses of stability of an unsupported access ramp, as well as deformation monitoring of walls, were used in order to review geotechnical design parameters that represent the full-scale behavior of the ground. Additional nails and soldier piles together with building mat foundation were implemented as a complementary lateral support in the retaining system. From an engineering point of view, by assuming a corrosion rate of 0.065 mm/a for existent rebars, according to chemical and electrical resistivity tests, the long-term performance of the revised retaining system was verified by static and pseudo-dynamic ultimate limit state analyses. Performance monitoring during the construction shows that the measured deformation is in the lower limit of the prediction.

Progress in hydrate thermodynamic study necessitates robust and fast models to be incorporated in reservoir simulation softwares. However, numerous models presented in the literature makes selection of the best,proper predictive model a cumbersome task. It is of industrial interest to make use of cubic equations of state(EOS) for modeling hydrate equilibria. In this regard, this study focuses on evaluation of three common EOSs including Peng–Robinson, Soave–Redlich–Kwong and Valderrama–Patel–Teja coupled with van der Waals and Platteeuw theory to predict hydrate P–T equilibrium of a real natural gas sample. Each EOS was accompanied with three mixing rules, including van der Waals(vd W),Avlonitis non-density dependent(ANDD) and general nonquadratic(GNQ). The prediction of cubic EOSs was in sufficient agreement with experimental data and with overall AARD% of less than unity. In addition, PR plus ANDD proved to be the most accurate model in this study for prediction of hydrate equilibria with AARD% of *** was observed that the accuracy of cubic EOSs studied in this paper depends on mixing rule coupled with them,especially at high-pressure conditions. Lastly, the present study does not include any adjustable parameter to be correlated with hydrate phase equilibrium data.

p38α mitogen activated protein kinase(MAPK) inhibitors provide a novel approach for the treatment of inflammatory disorders.A series of fifteen pyrazolyl urea derivatives(3a-o) were synthesized and evaluated for their p38α MAPK inhibition and antioxidant *** 3a-e,3g and 3h showed low micromolar range potency(IC_(50) values ranging from 0.037 ±1.56 to 0.069± 0.07μmol/L)compared to the standard inhibitor SB 203580(IC_(50) = 0.043 + 3.62μmol/L) when evaluated for p38αMAPK inhibition by an immunosorbent-based *** activity was measured by a 2,2'-diphenyl-1-picryl hydrazyl radical(DPPH) free radical scavenging method and one of the compounds,3c,showed better percentage antioxidant activity(75.06%) compared to butylated hydroxy anisole(71.53%)at 1 mmol/L *** 3a-e,3g and 3h showed promising in vivo anti-inflammatory activity(ranging from 62.25%to 80.93%) in comparison to diclofenac sodium(81.62%).The ulcerogenic liability and lipid peroxidation activity of these compounds were observed to be less in comparison to diclofenac *** compounds also potently inhibited the lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced TNF-αrelease in mice(ID_(50) of 3a-c = 19.98,11.32 and 9.67 mg/kg,respectively).Among the screened compounds,derivative 3c was found to be the most potent and its binding mode within the p38α MAPK is also reported.

Efficient irrigation management of urban landscapes is critical in arid/semi-arid environments and depends on the reliable estimation of reference evapotranspiration(ETo).However,the available measured climatic data in urban areas are typically insufficient to use the standard Penman-Monteith for ETo ***,smart landscape irrigation controllers often use temperature-based ETo models for autonomous irrigation *** study focuses on developing deep learning temperature-based ETo models and comparing their performance with widely used empirical temperature-based models,including FAO Blaney&Criddle(BC),and Hargreaves&Samani(HS).We also developed a simple free and easy-to-access tool called DeepET for ETo estimation using the best-performing deep learning models developed in this *** artificial neural network(ANN)models were developed using raw weather data as inputs and the reconstructed signal obtained from the wavelet transform as *** addition,long short-term memory(LSTM)recurrent neural network(NN)and one-dimensional convolution neural network(CNN)models were developed.A total of 101 active California Irrigation Management Information System(CIMIS)weather stations were selected for this study,with>725,000 data points expanding from 1985 to *** performance of the models was evaluated against the standard CIMIS *** evaluated at the independent sites,the temperature-based DL(Deep Learning)models showed 15–20%lower mean absolute error values than the calibrated HS *** improvement in the performance of the ANN models was observed using reconstructed signals obtained from the wavelet *** study suggests that DL models offer a promising alternative for more accurate estimations of ETo in urban areas using only temperature as *** DeepET can be accessed from the Haghverdi Water Management Group website:http://***/***.
