The phenolic and antioxidant constituents in Acacia nilotica fruits have become an important source of medicinal and thera-peutic benefit with powerful biological *** study investigated the phenolic content and antioxidant capacity of powdered Acacia fruits with seeds and without *** phenolic content and antioxidant capacities in them were deter-mined using Folin-Ciocalteu and DPPH free radical-scavenging *** total phenolic and antioxidants of *** with seeds were spectrophotometrically determined to be 47.61 and 6.18%greater than when the seeds were removed from the dried fruits,*** LC-Ms/QTOF analysis shows the presence of 282 and 214 phenolic compounds in the methanol extracts of *** with seeds and without seeds,*** present study,therefore,revealed that dried *** fruits with seeds have higher total phenolic content,antioxidant capacity,and bioactive constituents,which indi-cated that they have more medicinal value than fruits without seeds.

The rapid growth of 3G/4G enabled devices such as smartphones and tablets in large numbers has created increased demand for mobile data services. Wi-Fi offloading helps satisfy the requirements of data-rich applications and terminals with improved multi- media. Wi-Fi is an essential approach to alleviating mobile data traffic load on a cellular network because it provides extra capacity and improves overall performance. In this paper, we propose an integrated LTE/Wi-Fi architecture with software-defined networking （sDN） abstraction in mobile baekhaul and enhanced components that facilitate the move towards next-generation 5G mo- bile networks. Our proposed architecture enables programmable offloading policies that take into account real-time network conditions as well as the status of devices and applications. This mechanism improves overall network performance by deriving real- time policies and steering traffic between cellular and Wi-Fi networks more efficiently.

AIM: To compare freeze-dried strawberry(FDs) beverage and strawberry-flavored drink effects on lipid profile and blood pressure in type 2 diabetic(T2D) ***: In a randomized, double-blind, controlled trial, 36 subjects with T2D(23 females; mean ± sE age: 51.57 ± 10 years) were randomly divided into two groups. Participants consumed two cups of either pure FDs beverage(each cup containing 25 g freeze-dried strawberry powder equivalent to one serving of fresh strawberries; intervention group) or an iso-caloric drinkwith strawberry flavoring(similar to the FDs drink in fiber content and color; placebo group) daily for 6 wk. Anthropometric measurements, 3 d, 24 h dietary recall, and fasting blood samples were collected at baseline and at weeks 6 intervention. After lying down and relaxing for approximately 10 min, each participant's blood pressure was recorded in triplicate with 5 min intervals; recordings were made at baseline and the trial end-point. Each participant's lipid profile was assessed before and after ***: Assessment at the weeks 6 intervention showed a significant reduction from baseline in total cholesterol levels and total cholesterol to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) ratio in the intervention group(179.01 ± 31.86 to 165.9 ± 32.4 mg/L; P = 0.00 and 3.9 ± 0.88 to 3.6 ± 0.082 mg/L; P = 0.00 respectively), but the change was not significantly different between the two groups(P = 0.07, P = 0.29 respectively). systolic blood pressure levels were significantly reduced from baseline in both the FDs and placebo drink groups(129.95 ± 14.9 to 114.3 ± 27.5 mm Hg; P = 0.02 and 127.6 ± 15.6 to 122.9 ± 14.47 mm Hg; P = 0.00 respectively), but the reduction was not significantly different between the two groups. Valorizing chicken feather agro-wastes nowadays is imperative, if these wastes are disposed of without treatment, they could contribute to environmental problems. Conventional methods of processing chicken feathers such as landfilling, chemical treatment and burning are costly, non-time consumable and are toxic to the environment. Microbial hydrolysis, on the contrary, is now considered the main environmental-friendly recycling alternative. Hence, the aim of this study is to isolate keratinolytic bacteria with efficient feather hydrolysis, to optimize some of the physical parameters that could affect both bacterial growth and consequently its degrading ability. Results demonstrated an efficient feather degrading ability of newly identified Bacillus sp. D4 strain isolated from chicken feathers under optimal mesophilic temperature 37°C, pH 8.0 and 10sup>6sup> CFU/mL cell size inoculum, interpreted by highest keratin activity (55.0 ± 1.35 U/mL) and (54.3 ± 1.5 U/mL) respectively and higher total protein content in the cell free supernatant of 0.65 mg/mL. Beyond these parameters values, a moderate enzyme activity was observed at 40°C (35.1 ± 2 U/mL), 25°C (30.1 ± 2 U/mL), similarly at the initial pH 7.5 (52.3 ± 2 U/mL), pH 9.0 (49.0 ± 1.2 U/mL) and pH 10.0 (38.2 ± 1.35 U/mL). Bacillus sp. D4, on the other hand, was not able to tolerate high alkaline pH value 11.0 nor acidic pH 4.0 and 5.0 and high temperature of 55°C, correspondingly low enzyme activity was noted (19.0 ± 1 U/mL).

Prostate cancer is a common disease with a multifactorial and complex etiology. It is the most common male malignancy and the second leading cause of death in many countries. The widespread use of PsA testing has increased the detection of this cancer at earlier stages, although this diagnostic method has proved to be insufficient to identify the disease. DNA in most cells is regularly damaged by endogenous and exogenous mutagens. At least four main partially overlapping damage repair pathways operate in mammals. Common polymorphisms in DNA repair genes may alter protein function and an individual’s capacity to repair damaged DNA;deficits in repair capacity may lead to genetic instability and carcinogenesis. In the present study, we investigated the genotypic distribution of XRCC1 and XPC polymorphisms and its association with prostate cancer risk, pathological staging and Gleason’s scoring. The present study was conducted in the departments of Clinical Pathology, Pathology, and Urology Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University-Egypt. A total number of 50 patients with pathologically confirmed prostate cancer and 50 age-matched control subjects were enrolled in this study. The diagnosis was made on the basis of histopathological findings, following radical prostatectomy or transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP). Genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral blood using QIAamp blood DNA isolation kits. PCR followed by enzymatic digestion of the PCR products for (XRCC1, XPC) was used for the genotyping of these polymorphisms. statistical analyses were performed using sPss statistics version 20. The genotype frequencies of the studied polymorphisms in all the samples (n = 100), PC patients (n = 50) and healthy controls (n = 50) were consistent with the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium distribution (p-value > 0.05). Determinants of Patient satisfaction at Tertiary Care Centers in Lebanon

Objective: To assess patient satisfaction with services provided in inpatient health care settings in Lebanon. Methods: Our cross-sectional study enrolled patients who spent a minimum of one night in any ward at accredited hospitals in various regions of Lebanon. A structured questionnaire covering multiple domains was utilized to assess patient satisfaction as well as capture demographic data and visit characteristics. Results: From the pool of 1300 patients given questionnaires, a high response rate (92.8%;1206) was achieved. Most (60.4%) respondents had the second class medical insurance coverage;only 99 (8.2%) had a first class coverage. Patient satisfaction was influenced by age, educational level, and medical insurance coverage class. Most respondents were pleased with overall nursing care (96.6%), and physician consultations (95.4%), P = 0.001. Conclusions: Patient satisfaction with hospital care is significantly influenced by patient’s provider interactions during the episodes of care. Furthermore, the surrounding physical environment also has an influence on patient satisfaction. Also, our results showed the acceptable level of satisfaction about the healthcare system delivered in Lebanon. This could be enhanced if appropriate management decisions will be implemented to overcome weakness and barriers.

Aim:Immune challenge during early and late neonatal periods can induce robust alterations in physiological and behavioral functions,resulting in greater risk for the development of neuropsychiatric disorders,such as anxiety and depression,later in *** addition,previous studies concluded that increasing age correlates with increased depression behaviors in humans and *** study aimed to investigate for the first time whether immune challenge with a viral mimic,synthetic double-stranded ribonucleic acid(Poly I:C)during different neonatal periods can differently affect depression-related behaviors in adolescent and adult ***:Male C57BL/6 mice were treated with either saline or Poly I:C(1 mg/kg and 4 mg/kg)on postnatal days(PND)3-5(early neonatal phase)or PND 14-16(late neonatal phase),and then subjected to behavioral tests,including tail suspension test and forced swimming test,during adolescence(PND 35 or 40)and adulthood(PND 85 or 90).Results:The results demonstrated that early neonatal immune activation increases depression-related behaviors in both adolescent and adult mice,but late neonatal immune activation only increases depression in adult *** other words,these findings indicated that the nature of the offspring’s neuropathology can depend on the severity of the insult,the pup’s age at the time of the insult,and offspring age at the time of behavioral ***:These findings suggest that dose and timing of neonatal insult and offspring age may be important factors for evaluating neuropsychiatric disorders in adults who experienced early life infection.
