BRCA1 plays a critical role in the regulation of homologous recombination(HR)-mediated DNA double-strand break ***1-deficient cancers have evolved to tolerate loss of BRCA1 *** renders them vulnerable to agents,such as PARP inhibitors,that are conditionally‘synthetic lethal’with their underlying repair *** studies demonstrate that BRCA1-deficient cells may acquire resistance to these agents by partially correcting their defect in HR-mediated repair,either through reversion mutations in BRCA1 or through‘synthetic viable’loss of *** findings and their clinical implications will be reviewed in this article.

This paper focuses on studying the problem of robust output practical stability of timevarying nonlinear control systems. The main innovation lies in the fact that the proposed approach for stability analysis allows for the computation of bounds that characterize the asymptotic convergence of solutions to a small ball centered at the origin using a Lyapunov method with a definite *** different conditions on the perturbation, the authors demonstrate that the system can be globally robustly asymptotically output stable by designing a candidate feedback controller. Finally, three examples are given to illustrate the practical implications and significance of the theoretical results.

This paper addresses the issue of managing the traffic flow at traffic-light controlled junctions adopting a mixed,nonlinear programming *** precisely,we adopt an adaptive,acyclic control system based on the genetic algorithm(GA),a system that allows to accurately decide in real time on the light switching pattern that minimizes the traffic waiting *** importantly,the inherent crossroads constraints,namely,the security of their users and the structure thereof,also referred to as the antagonism principle,are considered in the proceeding of this *** implementation of this model on two crossroads significantly decreases the waiting time and regulates the traffic ***,the adaptive control system based on the GA proves efficient compared to the nonadaptive system.

The parity generators and the checkers are the most important circuits in communication systems. With the development of multi-valued logic (MVL), the proposed system with parity generators and checkers is the most required using the recently developed optoelectronic technology in the modified trinary number (MTN) system. This system also meets up the tremendous needs of speeds by exploiting the savart plates and spatial light modulators (SLM) in the optical tree architecture (OTA).

The importance of prerequisites for education has recently become a promising research *** work proposes a statistical model for measuring dependencies in learning resources between knowledge *** are expected to present knowledge units in a semantically well-organized manner to facilitate students’understanding of the *** proposed model reveals how inner concepts of a knowledge unit are dependent on each other and on concepts not in the knowledge *** help understand the complexity of the inner concepts themselves,WordNet is included as an external knowledge base in *** goal is to develop a model that will enable instructors to evaluate whether or not a learning regime has hidden relationships which might hinder students’ability to understand the *** evaluation,employing three textbooks,shows that the proposed model succeeds in discovering hidden relationships among knowledge units in learning resources and in exposing the knowledge gaps in some knowledge units.

A protic ionic liquid is designed and implemented for the first time as a solvent for a high energy density vanadium redox flow *** being less conductive than standa rd aqueous electrolytes,it is thermally stable on a 100 ℃ temperature window,chemically stable for at least 60 days,equally viscous and dense with typical aqueous solvents and most importantly able to solubilize to 6 mol L^(-1) vanadium sulfate,thus increasing the VRFB energy density by a factor of *** measurements revealed quasi-reversible redox transitions for both catholyte and anolyte at 25 ℃ while a proof-of-concept redox flow cell with the proposed electrolyte was tested for a total of 150 cycles at 25 ℃,showing an open circuit potential of 1.39 V and energy and coulombic efficiencies of 65% and 93%,***’s more,the battery can be equally cycled at 45℃ showing good thermal *** study underlines a new route to improve the energy-to-volume ratio of energy storage system.

Diabetes is a common metabolic disorder characterized by abnormally increased plasma glucose levels. Postprandial hyperglycemia plays an essential role in development of type-2 diabetes. Inhibitors of carbohydrate-hydrolyzing enzymes （such as a-glucosidase and α-amylase） offer an effective strategy to regulate/prevent hyperglycemia by controlling starch breakdown. Natural α-amylase and α-glucosidase inhibitors, as well as antioxidants from plant-based sources, offer a source of dietary ingredients that affect human physiological function in order to treat diabetes. Several research studies have investigated the effectiveness of plant-based inhibitors of α-amylase and α-glucosidase, as well as their antioxidant activity. The aim of this review is to summarize the antidiabetic and antioxidant properties of several medicinal plants around the world. Half inhibitory concentration （IC50, for enzyme suppression） and half effective concentration （EC50, for antioxidant activity） values of less than 500ug/mL were defined as the most potent plant-based inhibitors （in vitro） and are expected to provide interesting candidates for herbal treatment of diabetes, as foods, supplements, or refined drugs.

Methotrexate(MTX)is one of the most consumed anti-cancer drugs in the pharmaceutical market around the *** widespread occurrence of MTX in aquatic environment through hospital effluent has attracted increasing concern due to its potential to induce water *** the present study,the degradation of MTX in aqueous medium was investigated by UV-activated peroxymonosulfate(PMS).A significant improvement in degradation rate by increasing UV intensity and PMS concentration while the decrease in degradation efficiency with the increase of solution p H and initial concentration of MTX was *** proposed UV/PMS process could achieve more than 90%MTX degradation in 30 min with a good mineralization degree(65%).A pseudofirst order kinetic model was employed and successfully predicted the degradation of *** effect of other operational parameters such as the initial concentration of the targeted compound,dosage of oxidant(PMS),solution p H and UV intensity on the degradation rate were *** the last,the main transform intermediates were identified using LC–MS and possible degradation pathways were *** results show that UV/PMS can be used as an efficient technology to treat pharmaceuticals such as methotrexate containing water and wastewater.
