Globally among biotic stresses,diseases like blight,rust and blast constitute prime constraints for reducing wheat productivity especially in *** sustainable productivity,the development of disease-resistant lines and high yielding varieties is vital and *** study was conducted using 122 advanced breeding lines of wheat including 21 varieties developed by Bangladesh Wheat and Maize Research Institute with aims to identify genotypes having high yield potential and resistant to leaf blight,leaf rust and blast *** genotypes were evaluated for resistance against leaf blight and leaf rust at Dinajpur and wheat blast at Jashore under field *** of 122 genotypes tested,20 lines were selected as resistant to leaf blight based on the area under the diseases progress curve under both irrigated timely sown and irrigated late sown ***-two genotypes were found completely free from leaf rust infection,59 genotypes were identified as resistant,and 13 genotypes were identified as moderately resistant to leaf *** genotypes were immune against wheat blast,42 genotypes were categorized as resistant,and 26 genotypes were identified as moderately resistant to wheat *** data revealed that the 16 genotypes showed a positive 2NS segment among the 18 immune genotypes selected against wheat blast under field *** genotypes BAW 1322,BAW 1295,and BAW 1203 can be used as earlier maturing genotypes and the genotypes BAW 1372,BAW 1373,BAW 1297 and BAW 1364 can be used for lodging tolerant due to short plant *** genotypes WMRI Gom 1,BAW 1349 and BAW 1350 can be selected for bold grain and the genotypes WMRI Gom 1,BAW 1297,BAW 1377 can be used as high yielder for optimum seeding condition but genotypes BAW 1377 and BAW 1366 can be used for late sown *** selected resistant genotypes against specific diseases can be used in the further breeding program to develop wheat varieties having higher disea

The exponential growth of Internet and network usage has neces-sitated heightened security measures to protect against data and network ***,executed through network packets,pose a significant challenge for firewalls to detect and prevent due to the similarity between legit-imate and intrusion *** vast network traffic volume also complicates most network monitoring systems and *** intrusion detection methods have been proposed,with machine learning techniques regarded as promising for dealing with these *** study presents an Intrusion Detection System Based on Stacking Ensemble Learning base(Random For-est,Decision Tree,and k-Nearest-Neighbors).The proposed system employs pre-processing techniques to enhance classification efficiency and integrates seven machine learning *** stacking ensemble technique increases performance by incorporating three base models(Random Forest,Decision Tree,and k-Nearest-Neighbors)and a meta-model represented by the Logistic Regression *** using the UNSW-NB15 dataset,the pro-posed IDS gained an accuracy of 96.16%in the training phase and 97.95%in the testing phase,with precision of 97.78%,and 98.40%for taring and testing,*** obtained results demonstrate improvements in other measurement criteria.

Radiological Doses and Risk Assessment of NORM Scrap Metal by Using RESRAD-RECYCLE Computer Code

In this work the radiological dose and risks resulting from recycling of radioactive contaminated NORM scrap metal that produced from one of oil and gas production companies in Egypt, were determined by using RESRAD-RECYCLE computer code. Two scenarios were used: the first was the workers’ scenario, while the second was end-use product scenario. Workers’ scenario was used in this study for evaluating the dose and risk to workers who process recycled materials. This scenario focused on the transport of radioactive NORM scrap metal from the place of origin to the smelter (scrap delivery step). Scenarios for six different workers were included under the scrap delivery step: two workers scrap cutter, two workers scrap loader, and two workers scrap truck driver. The values for each scenario were specified on the basis of processing 200 tons of NORM scrap metal. Because these operations occur before melting of the metal, mass and radionuclide partitioning factors were not applied in the scrap metal delivery step. The radionuclide concentration of the NORM scrap metal was used directly in the dose calculation. The maximum doses received from direct external exposure to all radio nuclides during cutter/sorter, scrap truck driver and unloading of scrap metals were 2.14E-04, 1.4E-06 and 1.86E-05 (mSv) respectively. The excess cancer risks for all radio nuclides during cutter/sorter of scrap metals reached 1.25E-07. Radiation exposures incurred by the scrap unloaders and scrap cutters/sorters were greater than those incurred by the other workers for their closer exposure distances and longer time.

Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase(MTHFR)deficiency is the most common genetic cause of hyperhomocysteinemia,which has been implicated in the etiology of recurrent spontaneous abortion(RSA).This study was designed to investigate the association between two single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNP)(rs1801133[C677T]and rs1801131[A1298C])in the MTHFR gene and RSA,in *** two SNPs were selected as these polymorphisms have a different effect on the activity and stability of the enzyme,and significantly diverse effects have been reported in relation to the association with *** approval was acquired from the IRB at King Saud University(KKUH),Saudi Arabia,and written informed consent was obtained from each *** study group comprised of 100 Saudi women with unexplained RSA and 100 age-matched controls,both attending KKUH for a routine *** was drawn in EDTA tubes,and DNA was *** was conducted using TaqMan SNP genotyping assay *** frequency of the T allele of C677T was 0.165 in patients and 0.17 in *** frequencies for CC,CT and TT genotypes were 70%,27%and 3%,respectively in RSA,and 71%,24%and 5%,respectively,in the controls(p>0.05).For the A1298C polymorphism,the C allele frequencies were 0.345 in patients and 0.28 in controls,while genotype frequencies for AA,AC and CC genotypes were 44%,43%,and 13%,respectively,in patients,and 54%,36%,and 10%,respectively,in controls(p>0.05).The frequency of CC genotype and C allele of A1298C were higher in the patients with RSA,but not significantly,while C677T genotypes and allele frequencies did not differ between patients and *** results suggested that MTHFR gene polymorphisms are population-specific and may not associate with RSA in Saudi women.

Flattening filter-free(FFF) beams generated by medical linear particle accelerators(linacs) have recently been used in radiotherapy clinical *** beams have fundamental physical parameter differences with respect to standard flattening filter(FF) beams,such that the generally used dosimetric parameters and definitions are not always *** study investigates dosimetric parameters for use in the quality assurance of FFF beams generated by medical linacs in *** main characteristics of the photon beams are analyzed using specific data generated by a Varian True Beam linac having both FFF and FF beams of 6 and 10 MV(megavolt) energy,*** for dose profile parameters are suggested,starting from the renormalization of the FFF with respect to the corresponding FF *** this point,the flatness concept is translated into one of "un-flatness",and other definitions are proposed,maintaining a strict parallelism between FFF and FF parameter *** quality controls used in establishing a quality assurance program when introducing FFF beams into the clinical environment are given,maintaining similarity to those used for standard FF beams,and recommendations for the introduction of FFF beams into clinical radiotherapy application for breast cancer patients are provided as an example for comparison between FFF and FF for dose distribution and coverage for a target *** there are many advantages of using a FFF beam,especially for advanced radiotherapy techniques,there are a few limitations(e.g.,using a relatively higher energy photon beam for stereotactic radiotherapy(SRT),limited speed of current multileaf collimators(MLCs),and off-axis distance-dependent modulation in intensitymodulated radiation therapy(IMRT)) as well as challenges(e.g.,criteria for beam quality evaluation and penumbra,establishment of dosimetry methods,and consequences of photon target burn-up) that need to be addressed for establishing the FFF bea
