Melatonin is a versatile indolamine synthesized and secreted by the pineal gland in response to the photoperiodic information received by the retinohypothalamic signaling *** has many benefits,such as organizing circadian rhythms and acting as a powerful *** aimed to show the antitumor effects of melatonin in both in vivo and in vitro models through the mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)signaling pathway and the argyrophilic Nucleolar Regulatory Region(AgNOR),using the Microcomputed Tomography(Micro CT).Ehrlich ascites carcinoma(EAC)cells were administered into the mice by subcutaneous *** with solid tumors were injected intraperitoneally with 50 and 100 mg/kg melatonin for 14 *** measurements for the taken tumors were made with micro-CT imaging,immunohistochemistry(IHC),real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR)and ***,the tumor tissue volume in the Tumor+100 mg/kg melatonin group was significantly lower than that in the other groups in the data obtained from micro-CT *** the IHC analysis,the groups treated with Tumor+100 mg/kg melatonin were compared when the mTOR signaling pathway and factor 8(F8)expression were compared with the control *** was determined that there was a significant decrease(parea/nuclear area(TAA/NA)ratio in the treatment groups(pamount of mTOR mRNA for the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3k),AkT Serine/Threonine kinase(PkB/AkT)genes(paracterization of the melatonin-mediated cancer inhibitory effects will be valuable in advanc

In this study,we calculated the inclusive charged-current neutrino-nucleus scattering from ^(40)ar in the quasielastic *** explore the effect of uncertainties stemming from the nuclear structure,we used the kIDS(korea-IBS-Daegu-SkkU)nuclear energy density functional and Skyrme force models,namely SLy4,SkI3,and *** models were selected to have distinct behavior in terms of the density dependence of the symmetry energy and the effective mass of the *** the charged-current neutrino scattering,the single-and double-differential cross sections were calculated for various *** cross sections are reported as a function of the incident neutrino *** theoretical cross sections were compared with experimental data,and the roles of the effective mass and symmetry energy were investigated in terms of charged-current neutrino-nucleus scattering.

karapınar region(konya,Türkiye)is one of the important regions of the world in terms of sinkhole *** research aimed to map the sinkholes in detail,to determine their spatial distribution and geometrical *** this purpose,the long axes,short axes,depths and the proximity to settlements of the sinkholes were measured and their circumferences and areas were *** the studies,the relationship of the sinkholes with lithology,their cross sections,shapes and the related structures were determined and the sinkholes were divided into five main groups as following:Basement rock sinkholes,Obruk Plateau sinkholes,Seyithacı sinkholes,Siyeklik sinkholes and Basin *** d/l ratios of each sinkhole group were separately determined and ***,most of the d/l ratios are smaller than ***,the long axes are higher than the depth and it indicates that the shallow and wide sinkholes are common in the *** has been determined that the fracture systems in the region,as well as the lithology and groundwater factors,are quite effective in the formation and distribution of the sinkholes in the karapınar *** the distance of the sinkholes to the settlements,Seyithac?sinkholes are the most risky group in the region because they are deep and close to the settlements.

BiFeO_(3)-BaTiO_(3)(BF-BT)ceramics are important multiferroic materials,which are attracting significant attention for potential applications in high temperature lead-free piezoelectric *** the present study,the effects of Sr^(2+)as an acceptor dopant for Bi^(3+),in the range from 0 to 1.0%(in mole),on the structure and ferroelectric/piezoelectric properties of 0.7BiFeO_(3)-0.3BaTiO_(3)ceramics were *** use of a post-sintering ar annealing process was found to be an effective approach to reduce electrical conductivity induced by the presence of electron holes associated with reoxidation during cooling.A low Sr dopant concentration(0.3%,in mole)yielded enhanced ferroelectric(P_(max)∼0.37 C/m^(2),P_(r)∼0.30 C/m^(2))and piezoelectric(d_(33)∼178 pC/N,k_(p)∼0.27)properties,whereas higher levels led to chemically heterogeneous core-shell structures and secondary phases with an associated decline in *** electric field-induced strain of the Sr-doped BF-BT ceramics was investigated using a combination of digital image correlation macroscopic strain measurements and in-situ synchrotron X-ray *** of the intrinsic(lattice strain)and extrinsic(domain switching)contributions to the electric field induced strain indicated that the intrinsic contribution dominated during the poling process.

Fuzzy equations were solved by using different standard methods. One of the well-known methods is the method of α-cut. The method of superimposition of sets has been used to define arithmetic operations of fuzzy numbers. In this article, it has been shown that the fuzzy equation , where A, X, B are fuzzy numbers can be solved by using the method of superimposition of sets. It has also been shown that the method gives same result as the method of α-cut.

Recently, the space bvp of real or complex numbers consisting of all sequences whose differences are in the space lp has been studied by Basar, Altay [Ukrainian Math. J. 55（1）（2003）, 136-147], where 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞. The main purpose of the present paper is to introduce the space bvp（F） of sequences of p-bounded variation of fuzzy numbers. Moreover, it is proved that the space bvp（F） includes the space lp（F） and also shown that the spaces bvp（F） and lp（F） axe isomorphic for 1 ≤ p ≤∞. Furthermore, some inclusion relations have been given.

Schizophrenia is a severe psychiatric disorder characterized by emotional,behavioral and cognitive disturbances, and the treatment of schizophrenia is oftencomplicated by noncompliance and pharmacoresistance. The search for thepathophysiological mechanisms underlying schizophrenia has resulted in theproposal of several hypotheses to explain the impacts of environmental, genetic,neurodevelopmental, immune and inflammatory factors on disease onset andprogression. This review discusses the newest insights into the pathophysiologyof and risk factors for schizophrenia and notes novel approaches in antipsychotictreatment and potential diagnostic and theranostic biomarkers. The currenthypotheses focusing on neuromediators (dopamine, glutamate, and serotonin),neuroinflammation, the cannabinoid hypothesis, the gut-brain axis model, andoxidative stress are summarized. key genetic features, including small nucleotidepolymorphisms, copy number variations, microdeletions, mutations andepigenetic changes, are highlighted. Current pharmacotherapy of schizophreniarelies mostly on dopaminergic and serotonergic antagonists/partial agonists, butnew findings in the pathophysiology of schizophrenia have allowed theexpansion of novel approaches in pharmacotherapy and the establishment ofmore reliable biomarkers. Substances with promising results in preclinical andclinical studies include lumateperone, pimavanserin, xanomeline, roluperidone,agonists of trace amine-associated receptor 1, inhibitors of glycine transporters,amPA allosteric modulators, mGLUR2-3 agonists, D-amino acid oxidase inhibitorsand cannabidiol. The use of anti-inflammatory agents as an add-on therapy ismentioned.

The discovery that contracting skeletal muscle generates reactive oxygen species(ROS)was first reported over 40 years *** prevailing view in the 1980s was that exercise-induced ROS production promotes oxidation of proteins and lipids resulting in muscle ***,a paradigm shift occurred in the 1990s as growing research revealed that ROS are signaling molecules,capable of activating transcriptional activators/coactivators and promoting exercise-induced muscle *** evidence supports the notion that reduction-oxidation(redox)signaling pathways play an important role in the muscle remodeling that occurs in response to endurance exercise *** review examines the specific role that redox signaling plays in this endurance exercise-induced skeletal muscle *** begin with a discussion of the primary sites of ROS production in contracting muscle fibers followed by a summary of the antioxidant enzymes involved in the regulation of ROS levels in the *** then discuss which redox-sensitive signaling pathways promote endurance exercise-induced muscle adaptation and debate the strength of the evidence supporting the notion that redox signaling plays an essential role in muscle adaptation to endurance exercise *** hopes of stimulating future research,we highlight several important unanswered questions in this field.
