Percutaneous decannulation of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation using MANTA device:A real-world single-center experience

Deep Scalogram Representations for Acoustic Scene Classification

Spectrogram representations of acoustic scenes have achieved competitive performance for acoustic scene classification. Yet, the spectrogram alone does not take into account a substantial amount of time-frequency information. In this study, we present an approach for exploring the benefits of deep scalogram representations, extracted in segments from an audio stream. The approach presented firstly transforms the segmented acoustic scenes into bump and morse scalograms, as well as spectrograms; secondly, the spectrograms or scalograms are sent into pre-trained convolutional neural networks; thirdly,the features extracted from a subsequent fully connected layer are fed into(bidirectional) gated recurrent neural networks, which are followed by a single highway layer and a softmax layer;finally, predictions from these three systems are fused by a margin sampling value strategy. We then evaluate the proposed approach using the acoustic scene classification data set of 2017 IEEE AASP Challenge on Detection and Classification of Acoustic Scenes and Events(DCASE). On the evaluation set, an accuracy of 64.0 % from bidirectional gated recurrent neural networks is obtained when fusing the spectrogram and the bump scalogram, which is an improvement on the 61.0 % baseline result provided by the DCASE 2017 organisers. This result shows that extracted bump scalograms are capable of improving the classification accuracy,when fusing with a spectrogram-based system.

Activation of PXR causes drug interactions with Paxlovid in transgenic mice

Paxlovid is a nirmatrelvir(NMV)and ritonavir(RTV)co-packaged medication used for the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).The active component of Paxlovid is NMV and RTV is a pharmacokinetic *** work aimed to investigate the drug/herb-drug interactions associated with Paxlovid and provide mechanism-based guidance for the clinical use of *** using recombinant human cytochrome P450s(CYPs),we confirmed that CYP3A4 and 3A5 are the major enzymes responsible for NMV *** role of CYP3A in Paxlovid metabolism were further verified in Cyp3a-null mice,which showed that the deficiency of CYP3A significantly suppressed the metabolism of NMV and *** X receptor(PXR)is a ligand-dependent transcription factor that upregulates CYP3A4/5 *** next explored the impact of drug-and herb-mediated PXR activation on Paxlovid metabolism in a transgenic mouse model expressing human PXR and CYP3A4/*** found that PXR activation increased CYP3A4/5 expression,accelerated NMV metabolism,and reduced the systemic exposure of *** summary,our work demonstrated that PXR activation can cause drug interactions with Paxlovid,suggesting that PXR-activating drugs and herbs should be used cautiously in COVID-19 patients receiving Paxlovid.

A special integrable nonlocal nonlinear Schroodinger equation, NNLS, or namely alice-Bob NLS（ABNLS）equation is investigated. By means of the general N-th Darboux transformation, one can get various interesting solutions to display different types of structures especially for solitons. By using the Darboux transformation, its soliton solutions are obtained. Finally, by adjusting the values of free parameters, different kinds of solutions such as kinks, complexitons and rogue-wave solutions are explicitly exhibited. It is found that these solutions are quite different from the ones of the classical NLS equation.

Probabilistic Teleportation of an Arbitrary Two-Particle State and Its Quantum Circuits

Two simple schemes for probabilistic teleportation of an arbitrary unknown two-particle state using a non-maximally entangled EPR pair and a non-maximally entangled GHZ state as quantum channels are proposed. After receiving alice＇s Bell state measurement results, Bob performs a collective unitary transformation on his inherent particles without introducing the auxiliary qubit. The original state can be probabilistically teleported. Meanwhile, quantum circuits for realization of successful teleportation are also presented.

Teleportation of N-Particle Entangled GHZ State via Entanglement Swapping

In this scheme, N non-maximally entangled particle pairs are used as quantum channel to teleport an unknown N-particle entangled GHZ state via entanglement swapping. In order to realize this teleportation, the sender alice operates Bell-state measurement on particles belonging to herself. Then she informs the results to the receiver Bob through classical communication. According to the results, Bob operates corresponding transformation to reconstruct the initial state. The advantage of this scheme is that it needs only one common unitary matrix for alice＇s different results, which has a more general meaning. As a special case, teleporting an unknown three-particle entangled GHZ state is proposed.

Dear Editor Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge （Danshen） is a medicinal plant of the Lamiaceae family, and its dried roots have long been used in traditional Chinese medicine with hydrophilic phenolic acids and tanshinones as pharmaceutically active components （Zhang et al., 2014; Xu et al., 2016）. The first step of tanshinone biosynthesis is bicyclization of the general diterpene precursor （E,E,E）-geranylgeranyl diphosphate （GGPP） to copalyl diphosphate （CPP） by CPP synthases （CPSs）, which is followed by a cyclization or rearrangement reaction catalyzed by kaurene synthase-like enzymes （KSL）. The resulting intermediate is usually an olefin, which requires the insertion of oxygen by cytochrome P450 mono-oxygenases （CYPs） for the final production of diterpenoids （Zi et al., 2014）. While the CPS, KSL, and several early acting CYPs （CYP76AH1, CYP76AH3, and CYP76AK1） for tanshinone biosynthesis have been identified in S. miltiorrhiza （Gao et al., 2009; Guo et al., 2013, 2016; Zi and Peters, 2013）, the majority of the overall biosynthetic pathway, as well as the relevant regulatory factors associated with tanshinone production, remains elusive （Figure 1B）.

在大数据背景下,数据安全与身份安全同等重要。其中,身份的盲性值得特别关注。为满足量子委托计算对数据与身份盲性的需求,提出一个在区块链环境下进行,能兼顾数据安全与身份安全的匿名量子委托计算协议。协议不依赖可信的第三方,用户能够匿名地参与委托计算协议,无需展示身份信息就可以完成委托的发送与结果的接收。在发送计算委托时,alice使用环形网络对身份进行混淆以隐藏发送方。Bob使用受控量子隐形传态安全且匿名地反馈委托计算结果。另外,协议引入区块链技术协助第三方Charlie对用户的支付进行匿名审批。协议使用到的区块链与量子技术基本已实现,因此协议具有较高的可行性。进一步提出了改进协议,用户可以通过比对多委托方的计算结果来实现委托计算结果的可验证。该文提出的协议是一个面向大数据环境的实用协议框架,具有很好的迁移性。
