Ba.kground: Reverse Tra.scripta.e-Polymera.e Cha.n Rea.tion (RT-PCR) Sa.S-CoV-2 a.sa. rema.ns the common test used to detect the corona.irus infection worldwide. Complete blood count (CBC) is a.ra.id a.d cost-effective test compa.ed to RT-PCR, thus, it would be worthy to find a.hema.ologica. indica.or for Sa.S-CoV-2 infection. objectives: This study a.ms to a.sess the effica.y of CBC indices a. a. initia. dia.nostic test for corona.irus 2019 (CoVID-19) infection, which might be helpful during the outbrea. of the disea.e. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: a.retrospective, hospita. ba.ed a.d ca.e control study wa. ca.ried out a. Gezira.isola.ion center for CoVID-19, Gezira.Sta.e, Suda. in the period from Ja.ua.y to Ma. 2021. a.tota. of 178 CoVID-19 pa.ients with positive RT-PCR Sa.S-CoV-2 a.sa. result a.d a.other 178 volunteers of a.pa.ently hea.thy people were included in this study. CBC a. well a. D-dimer a.d C-rea.tive protein (CRP) were recorded from pa.ient’s file a.d neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ra.io (NLR), pla.elet-to-lymphocyte ra.io (PLR) a.d lymphocyte-to-monocyte ra.io (LMR) were ca.cula.ed. Da.a.were a.a.yzed using Sta.istica. Pa.ka.e for Socia. Science (SPSS) version 20. Results: Neutrophil percenta.e, tota. white blood cells (TWBCs) a.d pla.elet (PLT) were higher in the CoVID-19 pa.ients compa.ed to their control, wherea., lymphocyte a.d monocyte showed lower percenta.es a.ong the CoVID-19 pa.ients. a.though the differences tha. observed in the mea.s of PLT, neutrophils a.d monocytes between the ca.e a.d control group were significa.t, a.l these mea. va.ues of both groups were lying within the norma. ra.ge. on the other ha.d, there wa. a.highly significa.t eleva.ion in NLR a.d PLR a.d quite good increa.ing in LMR level a.ong CoVID-19 pa.ients compa.ed to their control. The results of receiver opera.ing cha.a.teristic curve (RoC) a.a.ysis showed tha. the a.ea.under the curve of NLR, PLR a.d LMR were 0.948 (P. va.ue = 0.00, 95% CI: 0.925 - 0.972), 0.925 (P. va.ue = 0.00

Eva.ua.ion of a.sessment of the meta. processes governing the meta.s distribution in soil a.d dust sa.ples is very significa.t a.d protects the hea.th of huma. a.d ecologica. system. Recently, specia. a.tention ha. given to the a.sessment of meta.s pollution impa.t on soil a.d dust within industria. a.ea.. This study a.ms to a.sess the meta. conta.ina.ion levels in the topsoil a.d street dust a.ound the cement fa.tory in Qa.issiya.a.ea. southern Jorda.. The levels of seven meta.s (na.ely Fe, Zn, Cu, Pb, Cr, Cd, a.d Mn) were a.a.yzed using Fla.e a.omic a.sorption Spec-trophotometer (Fa.S) to monitor, eva.ua.e, a.d to compa.e topsoil a.d roa. dust pollution va.ues of meta.s of the different types of urba. a.ea. The physicochemica. pa.a.eters which believed to a.fect the mobility of meta.s in the soil of the study a.ea.were determined such a. pH, EC, ToM, Ca.o3 a.d CEC. The levels of meta. in soil sa.ples a.e grea.er on the surfa.e but decrea.e in the lower pa.t a. a.result of the ba.ic na.ure of soil. The mea. va.ues of the meta.s in soil ca. be a.ra.ged in the following order: Zn > Pb > Mn > Fe > Cu > Cr > Cd. The rela.ively high concentra.ion of meta.s in the soil sa.ple wa. a.tributed to a.thropogenic a.tivities such a. tra.fic emissions, cement fa.tory a.d a.ricultura. a.tivities. Correla.ion coefficient a.a.ysis a.d the spa.ia. distribution of indices a.d the results of sta.istica. a.a.ysis indica.e three groups of meta.s: Fe a.d Mn result by na.ura. origin, Zn, Pb, Cu a.d Zn result by a.thropogenic origin (ma.nly motor vehicle tra.fic a.d a.ra.ion of tires) while Cd is mixed origin. This pa.er presents the impa.t of mea. ma.imum tempera.ure on Chitra. river ba.in situa.ed a. Chitra. district a.d high a.titude (>6000 m) pea.s of the Hindukush ra.ge under cha.ging clima.e in Pa.ista.. The a.a.ysis of Chitra. River a. one of the tributa.y of Ka.ul River—the second la.gest river of Pa.ista.—revea.ed tha. cha.ge in tempera.ure ha. a.profound influence on the snow/gla.ia. melt in compa.ison to the mea. monthly ra.nfa.l. This is beca.se the studied river is fa.ed by the snow a.d gla.ia. melt a.d receives a.lot of snowfa.l from winter (DecFeb) to pre-monsoon (a.ril-Ma.). In monsoon period (Jul-Sep), 30% of the time the discha.ge ra.e rema.ns a.ove the mea. while 60% of the time the discha.ge is less tha. the mea. in the pre-monsoon (a.ril-Ma.) period. It mea.s tha. 10% of the time the discha.ge is in rea.h of 300% to 900% of the mea. flow, showing a.rise in wa.er yield a.d river discha.ge ra.e due to increa.e in mea. monthly ma.imum tempera.ure. Due to this significa.t increa.e (p a.iers sta.t melting fa.ter a.d disa.pea. in ea.ly summer, hence, reducing their residency period to convert into ice. This shows the signa.s of cha.ging clima.e tra.sfer into hydrologica. cha.ges in Pa.ista.. our findings a.e importa.t for a.riculture, hydropower a.d wa.er ma.a.ement sectors for future pla.ning especia.ly in dry sea.on for susta.na.le food security a.d for opera.ion of ydrologica. insta.la.ions in the country.

Risk fa.tors for iron deficiency a.emia.a.ong the a.ult popula.ion of the Quetta.va.ley ha.e been investiga.ed. a.emic a.ult pa.ients, both ma.es a.d fema.es, who were a.mitted in the Sa.dema. Provincia. Hospita., Quetta. were invited to pa.ticipa.e in this study. a.ter deta.led history a.d exa.ina.ion, prelimina.y blood tests including full blood counts, pla.elets count, retics count, a.solute blood va.ues a.d blood film exa.ina.ion were done. a.clinica. dia.nosis wa. ma.e ba.ed upon the findings of history, exa.ina.ion a.d blood tests. In pa.ients suspected to ha.e iron deficiency a.emia. serum iron studies (i.e. serum iron, Tota. iron binding ca.a.ity (TIBC) a.d serum ferritin) were done to confirm the dia.nosis. a.ong the selected a.emic pa.ients, 60% were iron deficiency a.emic, while 40% were non-iron deficiency a.emic. Iron deficiency a.emia.wa. more common a.ong fema.es tha. ma.es, a. 70% pa.ients were fema.e a.d 30% were ma.e. The risk fa.tors were found to be pregna.cy (40%), nutritiona. ina.equa.y (17%), menorrha.ia.(9%), hemorrhoids (9%), hook worms (8%), hema.uria.(2%) a.d blood loss due to va.ious ga.tro-intestina. pa.hologies (15%).

Since 2003, the sites of the na.iona. environmenta. monitoring system （DNSE） of Niger, set up by the long term ecologica. monitoring observa.ories network （RoSELT） with the support of the Sa.el a.d Sa.a.a.observa.ory （oSS）, were used to collect ecologica. da.a.with ha.monized methods for spa.io-tempora. compa.isons purpose. Floristic a.d phytoecologica. da.a.were collected using the phytosociologica. methodology of Bra.n-Bla.quet （1932）. Ecosystem vita. a.tributes used included the specific diversity, a.pha.diversity, equidistribution, biologica. types a.d herba.eous phytoma.s. a. the whole system sca.e, the a.a.ysis revea.ed tha. the specific diversity, the a.pha.diversity a.d the phytoma.s va.ues were higher in less disturbed biotopes of the north souda.ia. a.d south sa.elia. bioclima.es where the ra.nfa.l ra.e is rela.ively high. Rega.ding the north sa.elia. a.d sa.a.ia. bioclima.es, the topogra.hy ma. pla. a.critica. role in the redistribution of this phytodiversity. Besides, the distribution of the biologica. types showed the preva.ence of therophytes （56.8 ± 11%） rega.dless of the bioclima.e a.d, to a.lesser extent, the perennia. species （26.5 ± 7.3%）, the la.er group showing higher va.ues for the north souda.ia. bioclima.e.

Nitrogen a.d sulfur supplies ha.e a.strong influence on the physica. cha.a.teristics of crop a. well a. on the qua.ity a.d qua.tity of whea. stora.e proteins, which pla. a. importa.t role in brea.-ma.ing process. In order to eva.ua.e the contribution of soil a.d folia. fertiliza.ion of nitrogen a.d sulfur on physiologica. a.d qua.ity a.sessment of whea., a.field tra.l wa. ca.ried out ha.ing ra.domized complete block design with four replica.ions a.d eight different trea.ments of nitrogen a.d sulfur combina.ions were a.lotted to plots a. different growth sta.es. Results indica.ed tha. highest protein content (12.82%), ma.imum moisture content (10.9%), ma.imum crop growth ra.e a.d ma.imum a.solute growth ra.e were recorded when the whea. crop wa. fertilized with T8 [Nitrogen @ 60 kg·ha.1 a. sowing + 40 kg·ha.1 a. tillering + 10 kg·ha.1 a. a.thesis (spra.) + 10 kg·ha.1 a.ter a.thesis (spra.)] + [Sulfur @ 15 kg·ha.1 a. sowing + 10 kg·ha.1 a. a.thesis (spra.) + 5 kg·ha.1 a.ter a.thesis (spra.)], while control pra.tice resulted low moisture content, low protein, minimum crop growth ra.e a.d low a.solute growth ra.e. a.ong physiologica. components of whea. cultiva.s, lea. a.ea.index wa. enha.ced when fertiliza.ion wa. done with T5 (Sulfur @ 15 kg·ha.1 a. sowing + 10 kg·ha.1 a. a.thesis + 5 kg·ha.1 a.ter a.thesis). In a.l the recorded observa.ions,concerning experiment whea. cultiva. Pirsa.a.2005 showed a.precia.le response a. compa.ed with other va.iety (Khyber-87). Thus it is possible to obta.n ma.imum physiologica. tra.ts a. well a. brea.-ma.ing qua.ity of whea. through soil a.d folia. a.plica.ion of nitrogen a.d sulfur.

Pla.modium (P.) fa.cipa.um is a.pa.hogen tha. ca.ses severe forms of ma.a.ia. Protein intera.tions ha.e been shown to occur between P. fa.cipa.um a.d huma. erythrocytes in huma. blood. The Ba.d 3 a.ion Tra.sporter (B3a.) protein is considered the ma.n inva.ive pa.hwa. for the pa.a.ite in erythrocytes tha. ca.ses clinica. symptoms for ma.a.ia.in huma.s. The intera.tions between P. fa.cipa.um pa.a.ites a.d erythrocytes a.ong this receptor ha.e previously been explored. Short linea. motifs (SLIMs) a.e short linea. media.or sequences tha. involve severa. biologica. processes, a.ting a. media.ors of protein intera.tions identifia.le by computa.iona. tools such a. SLiMFinder. For a.given protein, the identifica.ion of SLIMs a.lows predicting its intera.tors. Using the SLIMs a.proa.h, protein-protein intera.tion network a.a.yses between P. fa.cipa.um a.d its huma. host, were used to identify a.tryptopha.-rich protein, a.K5E5_PLa.S a. a. essentia. intera.tor of B3a.. To better understa.d the intera.tion mecha.ism, a.guided protein-protein docking a.proa.h ba.ed on SLIM motifs wa. performed for huma. B3a. a.d a.K5E5_PLa.S.
