Despite the potential ecological and economic impacts of invasive species,there is a dearth of data on the presence,impacts,and management implications of potentially invasive Orthoptera *** lack of research and inconsistent data,including risk screenings and impact assessments,is especially evident in ***,assessing the status,distribution,and potential threats of nonnative Orthoptera in Europe remains challenging,impeding the development of effective management *** address this gap,we call for increased efforts to collect and curate data on non-native and possibly invasive Orthoptera in *** efforts will improve our understanding of this order’s invasion dynamics,facilitate the identification of priority areas for conservation,and support the development of effective management policies and preventive measures.

Balancing Exploration–Exploitation of Multi-verse Optimizer for Parameter Extraction on Photovoltaic Models

Extracting photovoltaic(PV)model parameters based on the measured voltage and current information is crucial in the simulation and management of PV *** accurately and reliably extract the unknown parameters of different PV models,this paper proposes an improved multi-verse optimizer that integrates an iterative chaos map and the Nelder–Mead simplex method,*** experiments verified that the proposed INMVO fueled by both mechanisms has more affluent populations and a more reasonable balance between exploration and ***,to verify the feasibility and competitiveness of the proposal,this paper employed INMVO to extract the unknown parameters on single-diode,double-diode,three-diode,and PV module four well-known PV models,and the high-performance techniques are selected for *** addition,the Wilcoxon signed-rank and Friedman tests were employed to test the experimental results *** evaluation metrics,such as root means square error,relative error,absolute error,and statistical test,demonstrate that the proposed INMVO works effectively and accurately to extract the unknown parameters on different PV models compared to other *** addition,the capability of INMVO to stably and accurately extract unknown parameters was also verified on three commercial PV modules under different irradiance and *** conclusion,the proposal in this paper can be implemented as an advanced and reliable tool for extracting the unknown parameters of different PV *** that the source code of INMVO is available at https://***/woniuzuioupao/INMVO.

Competitive interactions between invasive fall armyworm and Asian corn borer at intraspecific and interspecific level on the same feeding guild

Interspecific competition is an important factor in the population dynamics and geographical distribution of insect *** armyworm(FAW),Spodoptera frugiperda,an invasive species,and the Asian corn borer(ACB),Ostrinia furnacalis,a native pest species are major pests on maize in China,posing a threat to maize yield and grain quality.A series of laboratory,greenhouse,and field experiments were conducted to elucidate the competitive interactions between FAW and *** the laboratory experiments,FAW exhibited aggressive behaviors more frequently when compared with ACB,while the latter species exhibited defense behaviors more *** intraspecific competition was recorded in the FAW conspecific rather than in ACB,particularly in the 6th larval *** had a higher interspecific competitive advantage through intraguild predation over ACB,resulting in partial or complete displacement ACB when initially the ratio of the 2 species was 1:*** interspecific competition also had significantly influenced on the population parameters,defensive enzymes,and nutrient of these 2 *** interaction proved that the response of superoxide,catalase,and soluble protein in FAW were significantly increased,whereas the total sugar content in both species was substantially *** rate,and the plant damage that co-infested by both species varied significantly among the sequential combinations under greenhouse and field *** consistently exhibited stronger intraspecific aggression than ACB under laboratory and field conditions when co-existing on the same feeding *** findings contribute to efforts toward the improvement of integrated pest management programs for FAW,in decision making for invasive and native pests’management strategies to reduce the high risks of FAW and ACB outbreaks.

Verticillium longisporum(Vl43)is a soilborne hemibiotrophic fungal pathogen causing stem striping on oilseed rape(OSR)and severe yield *** for resistant varieties is the most promising approach to control this ***,we report the identification of Hva22c as a novel susceptibility factor and its potential for improving OSR ***22c is a member of the Hva22 gene family,originally described for barley(Hordeum vulgare).several Hva22 members have been located at the endoplasmic ***22c is up-regulated in response to Vl43 in both Arabidopsis and *** demonstrate that knock-out of Hva22c in OSR by CRISPR/Cas9 and its homolog in Arabidopsis by T-DNA insertion reduced plants’susceptibility to Vl43 infection and impaired the development of disease *** understand the underlying mechanism,we analysed transcriptomic data from infected and non-infected roots of hva22c knock-out and wild type *** identified a homozygous mutant with frame-shifts in all four BnHva22c loci displaying a vastly altered transcriptional landscape at 6 ***,a large set of genes was suppressed under mock conditions including genes related to the endomembrane *** the up-regulated genes we found several defense-related and phytohormone-responsive genes when comparing mutant to the wild *** results demonstrate that Hva22c is functionally required for a fully compatible plant-fungus *** loss of function reduces plant susceptibility,most likely due to endoplasmatic reticulum and Golgi dysfunction accompanied by additionally activated defense *** findings can help improve OSR resistance to *** infection.

Microstructural analysis of marl stabilized with municipal solid waste and nano-MgO

Municipal solid waste(MSW)is accumulating over elapsed time across the world,and it is observed in many projects associated with weak soils,such as ***,effective solutions to the environmental problem are *** techniques for stabilizing marl generally use substances such as lime and cement,which could exacerbate *** this,some new stabilizers,***-MgO,are *** are large quantities of marls and MSW in Shiraz City,*** present study aims to evaluate the feasibility of using nano-MgO as a green low-carbon binder to remove MSW from the environment and make construction projects more *** drained shear tests were conducted to evaluate the mechanical behaviors of the nano-MgO treated marl specimens at high normal *** marl specimens containing MSW percentages of 15%,25%,35%,and 45%and nano-MgO percentages of 0.25%,0.5%,0.75%,and 1%,were *** is found that the marl containing 15%and 25%MSW and 0.5%nano-MgO at 28-d curing can perform cation exchange and form new cementitious *** soils with merely MSW show good performance due to the removal of the kaolinite and the formation of ***,the soil with 25%MSW and 0.5%nano-MgO shows the same strength enhancement as the specimen with the optimal nano-MgO(0.75%)through the formation of dolomite,with a 20.59%increase in strain energy(se).

In recent years,with the increasing demand for social production,engineering design problems have gradually become more and more *** novel and well-performing meta-heuristic algorithms have been studied and developed to cope with this *** them,the Spherical Evolutionary Algorithm(se)is one of the classical representative methods that proposed in recent years with admirable optimization ***,it tends to stagnate prematurely to local optima in solving some specific ***,this paper proposes an se variant integrating the Cross-search Mutation(CSM)and Gaussian Backbone Strategy(GBS),called *** this study,the CSM can enhance its social learning ability,which strengthens the utilization rate of se on effective information;the GBS cooperates with the original rules of se to further improve the convergence effect of *** objectively demonstrate the core advantages of CGse,this paper designs a series of global optimization experiments based on IEEE CEC2017,and CGse is used to solve six engineering design problems with *** final experimental results fully showcase that,compared with the existing well-known methods,CGse has a very significant competitive advantage in global tasks and has certain practical value in real ***,the proposed CGse is a promising and first-rate algorithm with good potential strength in the field of engineering design.

Influence of overhanging tool length and vibrator material on electromechanical impedance and amplitude prediction in ultrasonic spindle vibrator

This study presents the development of an ultrasonic transducer with a radius horn for an ultrasonic milling spindle(UMS)*** ultrasonic transducer was intended to have a working frequency of approximately 30 *** different materials were considered in the study:stainless steel(SS 316L)and titanium alloy(Ti-6Al-4V).Titanium alloy gave a higher resonance frequency(33 kHz)than stainless steel(30 kHz)under the same preload compression *** electromechanical impedance simulation was carried out to predict the impedance resonance frequency for both materials,and the effect of the overhanging toolbar was *** to the electromechanical impedance simulation,the overhanging toolbar length affected the resonance frequency,and the error was less than 3%.Harmonic analysis confirmed that the damping ratio helps determine the resonance ***,damping ratios of 0.015-0.020 and 0.005-0.020 were selected for stainless steel and titanium alloy,respectively,with an error of less than 1.5%.Experimental machining was also performed to assess the feasibility of ultrasonic-assisted milling;the result was a lesser cutting force and better surface topography of Al 6061.
