Background:Vestibular migraine(VM)is a common cause of dizziness that is underrecognized,underdiagnosed,and challenging to effectively *** prevalence,appropriate diagnostic workup,and therapies for VM in low-and lower-middle-income countries(LLMICs)remain *** objective of this scoping review is to evaluate the current state of VM research in ***:PubMed,Embase,and Web of Science databases were searched to execute a scoping review of ***“vestibular diseases”and“vertigo”were used in combination with terms referring to LLMICs as defined by the World *** and abstract screening,full-text review,and data collection were conducted by two authors ***:Twenty-six studies were included in the scoping *** studies were cross-sectional(57.7%)or case studies/series(23.1%)and were conducted in urban settings only(92.3%).Geographic distribution of studies was skewed,with 65.4%of articles originating from *** prevalence of VM among clinic patients ranged from 0.3%to 33.3%.VM most frequently presented as headache,nausea and vomiting,and *** imaging,audiometry,and electronystagmography/videonystagmography were the three most commonly utilized diagnostic modalities in the dizziness *** most studied pharmacotherapies included calcium channel blockers,followed by beta-blockers and *** studies and series discussed less common VM pharmacotherapies,such as ayurvedic ***:There is a need for more VM research in LLMICs,including innovative diagnostic approaches and therapies that can improve VM care *** partnerships between LLMIC and highincome country researchers must expand vestibular research capacity and productivity in LLMICs.

One of the key components of any smart city is considered to be its intelligent transportation systems(ITSs).Unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)are envisioned in several ITS application fields because of their autonomous operation,mobility,communication/processing capabilities,and other *** this paper,cooperative terahertz(THz)communication is proposed for flying ad hoc networks(fANETs),which is a particular kind of network made up of a collection of small UAVs linked in an ad hoc fashion and working together to accomplish high-level *** frequency spectrum for wireless communication has been expanding continuously in order to meet the demand for *** the forthcoming 6G and beyond,communications in the THz range will be vital,similar to how mmWave-band communications are currently influencing the 5G of wireless mobile *** finite state machine(fSM)of the proposed cooperative communication system for THz band is presented.A Markov chain model-based analytical study is carried out,which derives relationships among ***,numerical results are provided to support the analytical study.

Estimation of monthly global solar radiation over twelve major cities of Libya

This study aims to estimate monthly averaged daily horizontal global solar *** climatological data collected at twelve major cities located across Libya’s map were used to establish 7 different empirical *** empirical coefficients of the models were calculated using the least square *** accuracy of the models was evaluated using different statistical criteria such as Taylor diagram,mean absolute percentage error,MAPE,and root mean square error,*** results indicated that the sunshine duration-based models are more accurate than air temperature-based models,and the best performance was obtained by the quadratic regression model for all twelve Libyan ***,this regression model can be used for the prediction of monthly mean horizontal global solar radiation at a specific site across Libya’s regions with minimum ***,the results of the global solar irradiance produced by this method can be used for designing solar systems applications.

Tubular Heat Enhancement Using Twisted Tape Inserts with Large Holes

Heat augmentation techniques play a vital role in the heating and cooling processes in industries,including solar collectors and many applications that utilize heat *** studies are based on inserting fillers inside the tubes to enhance heat *** investigation considered the effects of twisted tapes with large holes on a tubular heat exchanger’s(HX)heat transmission,pressure drop,and thermal boosting *** the experimental section,counter-swirl flow generators used twisted tapes with pairs of 1.0 cm-diameter holes and changes in porosity(Rp)at 1.30%and 2.70%.In the experiments,air was utilized as a working fluid in a tube with a circular *** turbulent flow was considered,with Reynolds numbers(Re)domain from 4800 to 9500,and a boundary condition with a uniform wall heat flux was *** findings expound that when the number of holes rose,the Nusselt number(Nu),the factor of friction(f),and the thermal enhancement factor(η)all increased as ***,as the friction factor increased,the Nusselt number of the tape-equipped tube was noticeably ***,it was discovered that the friction factor was between 70%and 94%lower than the values of the tube without tape,while the(Nu)was between 87%and 97%higher than the conventional tube *** maximum value ofηis 89%.According to the experimental results,empirical correlations for Nu,f,andηwere also generated.

Radiofrequency ablation versus microwave ablation for colorectal liver metastases:long-term results of a retrospective cohort surgical experience

Background:Ablation is an alternative treatment modality for selected patients with colorectal liver metastases(CRLMs).Although initially widely performed via radiofrequency ablation(RfA),more recently,microwave ablation(MWA)is being preferred due to its perceived superiority in creating the ablation *** aim of this study is to compare the long-term efficacy of these two modalities performed ***:Patients undergoing surgical liver ablation from 2005-2023 at a tertiary center by a single surgeon for CRLM were included in a retrospective institutional review board-approved *** were compared using Wilcoxon,Chi-square,Kaplan-Meier,and Cox multivariate regression *** data are presented as median(interquartile range).Results:There were a total of 242 *** RfA was done in 121 patients with 303 lesions and laparoscopic MWA in 121 patients with 300 *** was no difference between the groups regarding operative time(161 vs.147 minutes,respectively,P=0.4),perioperative morbidity(3%vs.8%,respectively,P=0.2)or hospital stay(1 vs.1 day,P=0.05).Local recurrence(LR)per lesion with at least 1 year of imaging follow-up was 29%in the RfA and 13%in the MWA group(Pality were independent predictors of *** control these variables,direct matching was *** cohort included 189 ***-Meier analysis of these cohorts showed increased LR-free survival in the MWA group *** RfA group(P=0.005).Conclusions:This large study confirms our initial observation that local tumor control rate is better after MWA ***.

Extracting photovoltaic(PV)model parameters based on the measured voltage and current information is crucial in the simulation and management of PV *** accurately and reliably extract the unknown parameters of different PV models,this paper proposes an improved multi-verse optimizer that integrates an iterative chaos map and the Nelder–Mead simplex method,*** experiments verified that the proposed INMVO fueled by both mechanisms has more affluent populations and a more reasonable balance between exploration and ***,to verify the feasibility and competitiveness of the proposal,this paper employed INMVO to extract the unknown parameters on single-diode,double-diode,three-diode,and PV module four well-known PV models,and the high-performance techniques are selected for *** addition,the Wilcoxon signed-rank and friedman tests were employed to test the experimental results *** evaluation metrics,such as root means square error,relative error,absolute error,and statistical test,demonstrate that the proposed INMVO works effectively and accurately to extract the unknown parameters on different PV models compared to other *** addition,the capability of INMVO to stably and accurately extract unknown parameters was also verified on three commercial PV modules under different irradiance and *** conclusion,the proposal in this paper can be implemented as an advanced and reliable tool for extracting the unknown parameters of different PV *** that the source code of INMVO is available at https://***/woniuzuioupao/INMVO.

Unveiling vulnerable smart contracts:Toward profiling vulnerable smart contracts using genetic algorithm and generating benchmark dataset

Smart contracts(SCs)are crucial in maintaining trust within blockchain ***,existing methods for analyzing SC vulnerabilities often lack accuracy and effectiveness,while approaches based on Deep Neural Networks(DNNs)struggle with detecting complex vulnerabilities due to limited data *** paper proposes a novel approach for analyzing SC *** method leverages an advanced form of the Genetic Algorithm(GA)and includes the development of a comprehensive benchmark dataset consisting of 36,670 Solidity source code *** primary objective of our study is to profile vulnerable SCs *** achieve this goal,we have devised an analyzer called SCsVulLyzer based on GAs,designed explicitly for profiling ***,we have carefully curated a new dataset encompassing a wide range of examples,ensuring the practical validation of our ***,we have established three distinct taxonomies that cover SCs,profiling techniques,and feature *** taxonomies provide a systematic classification and analysis of information,improving the efficiency of our *** methodology underwent rigorous testing through experimentation,and the results demonstrated the superior capabilities of our model in detecting *** to traditional and DNN-based approaches,our approach achieved higher precision,recall,and f1-score,which are widely used metrics for evaluating model *** all these metrics,our model showed exceptional *** customization and adaptations we implemented within the GA significantly enhanced its *** approach detects SC vulnerabilities more efficiently and facilitates robust *** promising results highlight the potential of GA-based profiling to improve the detection of SC vulnerabilities,contributing to enhanced security in blockchain networks.

In recent years,with the increasing demand for social production,engineering design problems have gradually become more and more *** novel and well-performing meta-heuristic algorithms have been studied and developed to cope with this *** them,the Spherical Evolutionary Algorithm(SE)is one of the classical representative methods that proposed in recent years with admirable optimization ***,it tends to stagnate prematurely to local optima in solving some specific ***,this paper proposes an SE variant integrating the Cross-search Mutation(CSM)and Gaussian Backbone Strategy(GBS),called *** this study,the CSM can enhance its social learning ability,which strengthens the utilization rate of SE on effective information;the GBS cooperates with the original rules of SE to further improve the convergence effect of *** objectively demonstrate the core advantages of CGSE,this paper designs a series of global optimization experiments based on IEEE CEC2017,and CGSE is used to solve six engineering design problems with *** final experimental results fully showcase that,compared with the existing well-known methods,CGSE has a very significant competitive advantage in global tasks and has certain practical value in real ***,the proposed CGSE is a promising and first-rate algorithm with good potential strength in the field of engineering design.

Mechanical and magneto-electronic properties of europium lanthanide-based cubic perovskites EuYO_(3)(Y=Cr, Mn, fe): An ab initio study

Computational calculations using density functional theory(DfT) were performed for the first time using the full potential linearized augmented plane wave plus local orbital method(fP-LAPW + LO) to determine the structural, elastic, electronic and magnetic properties of europium-based cubic perovskites EuYO_(3)(Y=Cr, Mn, fe). The exchange correlation potentials of GGA along with some analytical methods were adopted for the computation of structural and elastic properties. Moreover, the GGA + U formalism was also added for obtaining more precise electronic and magnetic properties, particularly to address the Eu-4f and Y-3d orientations in the spin-polarized double cell symmetry. The observed lattice parameters of these compounds are consistent with experiment. The observed bulk moduli predict that EuCrO_(3) is harder and less compressible than EuMnO_(3) and EufeO_(3). The calculated tolerance factors of these compounds are within the cubic symmetry range. Our computed critical radius of EuCrO_(3) shows that EuCrO_(3) has a larger migration energy. Based on their elastic properties, these compounds are ductile in nature. We also computed the thermal properties of these compounds. The band structures and density of states show that these compounds are metallic in character. The lowest ground state energy and magnetic moments of these compounds expose their ferromagnetic nature. The metallic nature and strong ferromagnetism of these compounds make them promising applicants for application in spintronic.
