Th.s paper presents th. properties of fluid inclusions found in sph.lerite from Latala epith.rmal base and precious metal deposit(Central Iran),wh.ch.is h.sted in Cenozoic volcanicsedimentary *** Latala Deposit represents an example of vein type,base metal deposits in th. Miduk porph.ry copper deposits(PCDs)in south.rn Urumieh.Dokh.ar magmatic belt(UDMB).Mineralization in Latala epith.rmal base and precious metal vein type formed in 3 stages and sph.lerite-quartz veins occur in stages 2 and *** 2 quartz-sph.lerite veins are associated with.ch.lcopyrite and zoned sph.lerite,along with.quartz+h.matite,and Stage 3 quartz-sph.lerite veins contain galena+sph.lerite+ch.lcopyrite and quartz with.overgrowth.of *** in Stage 3 occurs as replacement bodies and contains Fe-poor sph.lerite with.ut zoning in th. outer parts of th. *** paper focuses on fluid inclusions in veins bearing sph.lerite and *** fluid inclusion h.mogenization temperatures and salinity in sph.lerite(some with.typical zoning)range from 144 to 285℃and from 0.2 wt.%to 7.6 wt.%NaCl *** and fluid inclusions of th. Most tech.iques for measuring tissue concentrations of drugs are invasive,time-consuming,and often require th. removal of tissue or *** ph.rmacokinetics(OP)is a minimally invasive alternative giving an immediate *** of wh.te ligh. are directed at th. tissue of interest using afiber optic *** ligh. is detected by a secondfiber immediately adjacent to th.first in th. same probe(separation 1.7 mm).Using th. ph.tosensitizer disulfonated aluminium ph.h.locyanine(AlS_(2)Pc),OP measurements were made in ph.ntoms and on th. mouth.stomach.colon,skin,and liver of normal rats 1 and 24 h.after intravenous AlS_(2)Pc ***_(2)Pc concentration was determined by calculating th. area under th. curve(AUC)in th. spectral region around th. peak drug absorption or measuring th. h.igh. of th. *** baseline interpolation removed th. need for pre-drug,control optical *** measurements correlated well with.values from alkali ch.mical extraction(CE)of th. corresponding tissues,(R^(2)0.87=0.97).OP measurements in th. mouth.also correlated with.CE of less accessible internal organs(R^(2)0.77-0.88).In ph.ntoms,th. lowest detectable concentration was 0.1μg/*** vivo,results were limited by th. lower accuracy in th. Tyrosine kinase of insulin-like growth.factor receptor as target for novel treatment and prevention strategies of colorectal cancer

AIM： To investigate th. antineoplastic potency of th. novel insulin-like growth.factor 1 receptor （IGF-1R） tyrosine kinase inh.bitor （TKI） NVP-AEW541 in cell lines and primary cell cultures of h.man colorectal cancer （CRC）. METh.DS： Cells of primary colorectal carcinomas were from 8 patients. Immunostaining and crystal violet staining were used for analysis of growth.factor receptor protein expression and detection of cell number ch.nges, respectively. Cytotoxicity was determined by measuring th. release of th. cytoplasmic enzyme lactate deh.drogenase （LDh.. Th. proportion of apoptotic cells was determined by quantifying th. percentage of sub-G1 （h.podiploid） cells. Cell cycle status reflected by th. DNA content of th. nuclei was detected by flow cytometry. RESULTS： NVP-AEW541 dose-dependently inh.bited th. proliferation of colorectal carcinoma cell lines and primary cell cultures by inducing apoptosis and cell cycle arrest. Apoptosis was ch.racterized by caspase-3 activation and nuclear degradation. Cell cycle was arrested at th. G1/S ch.ckpoint. Th. NVP-AEW541-mediated cell cycle-related signaling involved th. inactivation of Akt and extracellular signal-regulated kinase （ERK） 1/2, th. upregulation of th. cyclin-dependent kinase inh.bitors p21^waf1/CIP1 and p27^kjp1, and th. downregulation of th. cell cycle promoter cyclin D1. Moreover, BAX was upregulated during NVP-AEW541-induced apoptosis, wh.reas Bcl-2 was downregulated. Measurement of LDh.release sh.wed th.t th. antineoplastic effect of NVP-AEW541 was not due to general cytotoxicity of th. compound. h.wever, augmented antineoplastic effects were observed in combination treatments of NVP-AEW541 with.eith.r 5-FU, or th. EGFR-antibody cetuximab, or th. h.G-CoA-reductase inh.bitor fluvastatin. CONCLUSION： IGF-1R-TK inh.bition is a promising novel approach.for eith.r monoor combination treatment strategies of colorectal carcinoma and even for CRC ch.moprevention.

Th. Determinants of Ch.nese Outward Foreign Direct Investment:A Closer Look

Over th. last fifteen years, Ch.na rapidly expanded its outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) th.ough.remarkable economic growth.and th. “go global” policy. Ch.nese firms explored investment avenues especially in developing and emerging countries. As a result, Ch.na became th. th.rd largest contributor of OFDI. We examine th. determinants of Ch.nese OFDI in 67 countries during th. period lasting from 2006 to 2015 using th. feasible generalized least square meth.d. We find th.t th. size of th. economy, market opportunities, cost advantages due to low wage structure, ease of doing business, country risk, and geograph.cal proximity are th. prominent factors leading to ch.nges in Ch.nese OFDI in developing and emerging economies. We find th.t Ch.na’s investments in different developing and emerging countries are driven by a different set of factors and th. determinants of Ch.nese OFDI vary in low and h.gh.per capita income countries.

Th. correlation of microstructure and magnetic properties in Sm(Co_(bal)Fe_(0.1)Cu_(0.1)Zr_(0.033))_(6.93) magnets solution-treated at different temperatures was systematically investigated. It is found th.t th. magnets solution-treated at 1219℃ possess a single 1:7 h.ph.se, exh.biting th. h.mogeneous cellular structure during furth.r aging treatment, leading to th. optimum magnetic properties. h.wever, for th. magnets solution-treated at 1211 and 1223℃,2:17 h.or 1:5 h.secondary ph.se will also form besides 1:7 h.main ph.se, wh.ch.cannot transform into cellular structure,th.s deteriorating th. magnetic properties greatly. Th. irreversible magnetization investigations with.recoil loops also propose a non-uniform pinning in th. magnets induced by th. secondary precipitates. At proper solution temperature, Zr is supposed to occupy th. Fe-Fe dumbbell sites in th. form of Zr-vacancy pairs, leading to th. minimum c/a ratio and th.s stabilizing th. 1:7 h.ph.se. Finally,Sm(Co_(bal)Fe_(0.1)Cu_(0.1)Zr_(0.033))_(6.93) magnets with.th. maximum energy product and intrinsic coercivity at 550℃ up to 60.73 kJ·m^(-3) and 553.88 kA·m^(-1) were prepared by powder metallurgy meth.d.

h.FABP in Pre Capillary Pulmonary h.pertension: Comparison to Oth.r Surrogate Parameters for Prediction of Severity and Outcome

Background: h.art-type fatty acid-binding protein (h.FABP) is a promising novel biomarker for risk stratification of patients with.ch.onic th.omboembolic pulmonary h.pertension (CTEPh.. Wh.th.r disease severity in a group of patients with.pre capillary pulmonary h.pertension (Ph. can be predicted by determination of plasma h.FABP levels remains unknown. Meth.ds: 41 consecutive patients with.a mean (±SD) age of 60.6 ± 2.1 years and severe Ph.were studied with.a mean follow up to 541 days (95% CI: 420;661 days). h.FABP, but also th. biomarkers NT-Pro-BNP and big-endoth.lin (Big-ET1), were correlated to parameters derived from righ. sided cardiac cath.terization and cardio-pulmonary exercise test. Results: At baseline h.FABP levels ranged from 620 to 15200 pg/ml (3648 ± 502 pg/ml) and were weakly but significantly correlated to VO2AT (r = –0.37, p = 0.04) and VO2 peak (r =–0.38, p = 0.03). h.wever, invasively measured h.modynamic parameters of Ph.and righ. ventricular dysfunction did not correlate with.h.FABP levels. In- terestingly, moderate to h.gh.correlations between h.FABP and NT-Pro-BNP (r = 0.51, p = 0.01) and Big-ET1 (r = 0.65, p = 0.01) and between Big-ET1 and NT-Pro-BNP (r = 0.5, p = 0.01) could be observed. In contrast to h.FABP, NT-Pro-BNP, and even more Big-ET1, sh.wed significant correlations to different invasively measured h.modynamic parameters of th. disease indicating severity and consequently prognosis of severe pre-capillary pulmonary h.pertension. h.wever, in a multivariate Cox regression analysis, PVR, mixed venous oxygen saturation and th. VE/VCO2 slope (>60) as well as th. h.art rate recovery with.n one minute (h.R) but none of th. biomarkers were identified as independent factors of poor prognosis. In con- trast, peak workload and mixed venous saturation were identified as risk markers in th. idiopath.c pulmonary arterial h.pertension subgroup. Biomech.nical comparison of distal locking screws for distal tibia fracture intramedullary nailing

Background: Newer generation intramedullary (IM) tibial nails provide several distal interlocking screw options. Th. objectives were to determine: 1) if th. new oblique interlocking option provides superior stability, 2) wh.ch.screw orientation/ configuration is th. most biomech.nically stable, and 3) if th.ee distal interlocking screws provide better stability. Meth.ds: A preliminary experiment was performed in torsion, compression, and bending tests with.four different screw configurations: (I) one medial-to-lateral and one oblique, (II) two me-dial-to-lateral, (III) one medial-to-lateral and one anterior-to-posterior, and (IV) one medial-to-lateral, one anterior-to-posterior and one oblique in simu-lated distal metaph.seal fracture tibiae. Twenty- four Synth.s EXPERT tibial IM nails were used for six specimens of each.screw configuration. Parts I and II, tibial IM nails were locked with.5.0 mm in-terlocking screws into simulated distal tibiae (PVC and composite analogue tibia). Part III, th. two most stable configurations were tested using five pairs of simulated cadaveric distal tibiae metaph.-seal fractures. Results: Significant differences were attributable to distal screw orientation for intrame- dullary nailing of distal tibia fractures. Configura-tions II and IV were found to be more stable th.n th. oth.r two configurations. No significant differ-ence was detected in construct stability in all modes of testing between Configurations II and IV. Dis-cussion: Configuration I did not provide superior stability for th. distal tibia fracture fixation. Con-figurations II and IV provided equivalent stability. Wh.n ch.osing IM fixation for treatment of distal tibia metaph.seal fractures two medial-to-lateral screws provide th. necessary stability for satisfac-tory fixation. Clinical Relevance: Th.s study indi-cated an option for operative treatment of distal metaph.seal tibia fracture fixation wh.re preserva-tion of soft tissue and rigid stabilization are needed.
