Efforts to develop organometallic complexes for catalytic nitrogen reduction have seen significant progress in recent ***,the strategies for improving the activity of the homogenous catalysts have mainly focused on alternating ligands and ***,we report that the activity and stability of a PN_(P-Mo pincer complex(2)toward dinitrogen(N_(2))reduction were greatly enhanced through postmodification of the PN^(3)P pincer framework of its parent complex(1).A high ratio of NH_(3)/Mo(3525)was achieved in the presence of SmI_(2)as a *** sharp contrast,1 only afforded an NH_(3)/Mo ratio of ***,when supported by an anionic pincer ligand,2 furnished a high oxidation state Mo(V)-nitride complex via N_(2)cleavage as a plausible key intermediate in the catalytic process,suggesting a catalytic cycle that may involve different oxidation states(Ⅱ/Ⅴ)from those with 10-πelectron configuration in the literature.

Laboratory pull-out tests on fully grouted rock bolts and cable bolts:Results and lessons learned

Laboratory pull-out tests were conducted on the following rock bolts and cable bolts:steel rebars,smooth steel bars,fiberglass reinforced polymer threaded bolts,flexible cable bolts,IR5/IN special cable bolts and Mini-cage cable *** diameter of the tested bolts was between 16 mm and 26 *** bolts were grouted in a sandstone sample using resin or cement *** tests were conducted under either constant radial stiffness or constant confining pressure boundary conditions applied on the outer surface of the rock *** most tests,the rate of displacement was about 0.02 mm/*** tests were performed using a pull-out bench that allows testing a wide range of *** paper provides an extensive database of laboratory pull-out test results and confirms the influence of the confining pressure and the embedment length on the pull-out response(rock bolts and cable bolts).It also highlights the sensitivity of the results to the operating conditions and to the behavior of the sample as a whole,which cannot be neglected when the test results are used to assess the bolt-grout or the grouterock interface.

Visible fluorescence of biological fluids as a renal failure marker:New integrative approach

Solid phases of visible fuorescence substance(VFS)of biological fuids(blood,urine,hemodia-lysate)which was proposed earlier as a morbidity and mortality marker by renal failure and diabetes were investigated in-depth by the methods of electron and confocal microscopy,optical spectroscopy and matrix assisted laser desorption-ionization(MALDI)mass *** is shown that dry VFS exists predominantly in the form of carbon-oxygen-nitrogen(N≈8.7 wt.%)nanoparticles(NPs)(5≤d≤100nm).For the first time the existence of the threshold energy E_(g)≈2.15eV for excitation of VFS was observed experimentally and confirmed by semi empirical calculations of the bathochromic shift.A good accordance with the earlier autonomous theo-retical calculations was ***,the long wavelength limit(575 nm)of the spectral range where the VFS can be used as a fluorescent marker was reliably determined.A pilot MALDI comparative study of graphene oxide(GO)and urine VFS was carried *** kinds of nitrogen-free particles(412≤M≤456 Da)were observed in each substance and possible computer models of those have been *** is established that along with nitrogen-containing advanced glycation end products(AGEs)also nitrogen-fee carbon-oxygen-lhydrogen particles(probably toxic)with the composition and structure related to GO can exist in *** types of particles should be taken into account in search for the reasons of high mortality among end stage renal disease patients.

Geomorphological processes and landforms of glacier forelands in the upper Aktru River basin(Gornyi Altai), Russia: evidence for rapid recent retreat and paraglacial adjustment

The glaciers in the Aktru River basin of Gornyi Altai, Russia currently represent some of the fastest receding glaciers in the world. Formation of the morainic complexes closest to the contemporary glaciers in the Aktru River basin took place during the 17^th-18^th centuries with recession commencing at the end of the 18 th century. Coupled with this glacial retreat, earth surface processes and vegetation succession are responding to shape the glacier forelands. This article presents the first geomorphological maps for the upper reaches of the Aktru River basin and focuses on the geomorphological landforms that occur in the rapidly changing glacier forelands. Geomorphological mapping is difficult in steep mountainous regions and, thus, mapping was completed using satellite imagery, field mapping and observations coupled with highresolution aerial photography obtained from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs). Critical steps of the procedure used to process UAV imagery and difficulties encountered in this mountainous terrain are noted. The acquired spatial data enable the mapping and classification of small-scale transient geomorphological features such as talus, glacial and glaciofluvial landforms. Their dynamics provide insights into supraglacial and subglacial processes of the glaciers of the Aktru River basin and subsequent paraglacial adjustment. The presented highresolution spatial data, which can also be obtained at high temporal resolutions in the future, can act as a reference frame for geomorphologists and ecologists studying the temporal evolution of glacier forelands of the Aktru River basin during paraglacial adjustment and subsequent colonisation and stabilisation by biota.

Calculation of the Centrally Symmetric and Vortex Forces Acting on Momentum in Distortion Tensor Field: Explanation of High-Temperature Plasma and Vortex Motions

The paper deals with calculation of the centrally symmetric and vortex forces for the momentum of a particle in the distortion tensor field from the action minimum, by analogy with the calculation of forces for a charge in an electromagnetic field. It is demonstrated that: 1) The compensating interaction tensor corresponds to the distortion tensor in a solid. 2) The centrally symmetric force of the distortion tensor acts on the momentum as a charge, and is analogous to the Coulomb force. In a gas, it results in change in the momentum value of the molecules exponentially to some extent. The action of this force explains the high-temperature plasma in the gas. 3) The vortex force of the distortion tensor is equivalent to the Peach-Koehler force in a solid. It acts on the momentum flow, similar to the Lorentz magnetic force, and explains the vortex motions in space, in the form of “black holes”, and in the atmosphere, in the form of cyclones and anticyclones.

Gauss’ Problem, Negative Pell’s Equation and Odd Graphs

In this paper we present some results connected with still open problem of Gauss, negative Pell’s equation and some type *** particular we prove in the Theorem 1 that all real quadratic fields K=Q( ) , generated by Fermat’s numbers with d=Fm+1=22m+1+1,m≥2, have not unique factorization. Theorem 2 give a connection of the Gauss problem with primitive Pythagorean triples. Moreover, in final part of our paper we indicate on some connections of the Gauss problem with odd graphs investigated by Cremona and Odoni in the papper [5].
