Circular rnAs(circrnAs)are a recently dis-covered type of non‐coding rnA derived from pre‐mrnAs.r‐loops consist of a DnA:rnA hybrid andthe associated single‐stranded ***-dopsis thaliana,circrnA:DnA r‐loops regulatealternative splicing(As)ofsEPALLATA3(sEP3).However,the occurrence and functions ofcircrnAs and r‐loops inPopulus trichocarpaarelargely ***,we performed circrnA‐enriched sequencing in the stem‐differentiatingxylem(sDX)*** identified 2,742distinct circrnAs,including circ‐CEsA4,circ‐IrX7,and circ‐GUX1,which are generated from genesinvolved in cellulose,and hemicellulose biosyn-thesis,*** investigate the roles ofcircrnAs in modulating alternative splicing(As),we detected 7,836 As events using PacBio Iso‐seq and identified 634 circrnAs that overlappedwith 699 As ***,using DnA:rnAhybrid immunoprecipitation followed by se-quencing(DrIP‐seq),we identified 8,932 r‐looppeaks that overlapped with 181 circrnAs and 672As ***,several sDX‐related circrnAsoverlapped with r‐loop peaks,pointing to theirpossible roles in modulating As in ***,overexpressing circ‐IrX7increased the levels ofr‐loop structures and decreased the frequency ofintron retention in *** provides a valuable r‐loop atlas resourceand uncovers the interplay between circrnAs andAs in sDX ***.

The hysteresis loop changes of ferroelecric srBi_2 Ta_2 O_9 (sBT) thin films(330nm) us the temperature of forming gas (5 percent hydrogen+95 percent nitrogen) annealing weremeasured when the annealing time was 1min and 10min. The selected annealing temperature was at 100deg C,200 deg C 250 deg C, 300 deg C, 350 deg C,400 deg C and 450 deg C, respectively. Our resultsshowed that the ferroelectric properties were easily destroyed and the leakage current changedabruptly when the sBT thin films were in their ferroelectric phase (space chargesat the grain boundary may take an important role' in absorption polarity molecular hydrogen when thesBT thin films were in the ferroelectric phase. The oxygen recovery experiments were also performedand investigated in this work.

In this paper,an experimental investigation on the wave loads and structural motions of two semi-fixed semi-immersed horizontal cylinders type rafts in the free surface zone is *** physical mod-els are tested at the 1:4.5 scale and exposed to a range of regular and irregular waves in a wave flume at Queen’s University *** physical models and experimental setup are discussed alongside an in-vestigation of the hydrodynamic phenomena,surge forces,and dynamic responses that each structure ex-hibits in the coastal wave ***,an investigation into the wave attenuation by both mod-els is carried *** results show that the surge forces have a positive correlation with wave steepness for both *** phenomena such as wave runup and overtopping,radiative damping and reflected waves,constructive interference,diffraction and flow separation were identified during the ex-periments.A negative mean heave displacement is observed during the monochromatic sea states which could result in impact loading and submergence of the superstructure components and photovoltaic pan-els at *** results presented in this paper may be used to calibrate and verify numerical models that calculate the global responses and hydrodynamic *** may also benefit the design processes of geometrically similar floating solar technologies by providing data on surge loads,motion responses and hydrodynamic observations.

radiocarbon content in biogenic samples is widely used to study the variation of atmospheric COsub>2sub> due to anthropogenic activities. A total of 20 samples of several types of tree leaves, were analyzed for this study. sampling was carried out at the end of the rainy season in 2017 from the surrounding of the sOCOCIM cement factory in rufisque town. rufisque is located on the peninsula of Cape Verde, 25 km east of Dakar, where it is the 《south gate》 of the agglomeration. reference samples of five different species were collected during the same period (2017) from a clean zone. The sup>14sup>C method was used for the determination of Δsup>14sup>C values. The data show that the sup>14sup>C concentration in the studied sites was significantly lower than the clean area, due to the release of anthropogenic COsub>2sub>. To estimate the suess effect, the fossil fuel fraction was determined based on equations of mass balance for COsub>2sub> concentration, stable isotopic composition of carbon, and sup>14sup>C concentration. The results show that selected locations are affected differently according to their distance from the factory and the wind direction.

Ionizing radiations are tools in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Leukopenia from exposure to ionizing radiation has been reported. Due to their radiosensitivity, leukocytes are a biological model to analyze cell damage. Therefore, cell viability, DnA damage, and Hsp70 and p53 expression in human leukocytes exposed to low-dose gamma radiation fields from a sup>137sup>Cs source were evaluated. A decrease in cell viability, DnA damage and an increase in the expression of Hsp70 and p53 proportional to the radiation dose received was found, which was 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 mGy.

simultaneous nitrification and autotrophic denitrification in fluidized bed reactors using pyrite and elemental sulfur as electron donors

In this study, simultaneous nitrification and autotrophic denitrification (snAD) with either elemental sulfur or pyrite were investigated in fluidized bed reactors in mesophilic conditions. The reactor performance was evaluated at different ammonium (12-40 mg/L of nH4+-n), nitrate (35-45 mg/L of nO3--n), and dissolved oxygen (DO) (0.1-1.5 mg/L) concentrations, with a hydraulic retention time of 12 h. The pyrite reactor supported the snAD process with a maximum nitrogen removal efficiency of 139.5 mg/(L·d) when the DO concentration was in the range of 0.8-1.5 mg/L. This range, however, limited the denitrification efficiency of the reactor, which decreased from 90.0% ± 5.3% in phases II-V to 67.9% ± 7.2% in phases VI and VII. sulfate precipitated as iron sulfate (FesO4/Fe2(sO4)3) and sodium sulfate (na2sO4) minerals during the experiment. The sulfur reactor did not respond well to nitrification with a low and unstable ammonium removal efficiency, while denitrification occurred with a nitrate removal efficiency of 97.8%. In the pyrite system, the nitrifying bacterium nitrosomonas sp. was present, and its relative abundance increased from 0.1% to 1.1%, while the autotrophic denitrifying genera Terrimonas, Ferruginibacter, and Denitratimonas dominated the community. Thiobacillus, sulfurovum, and Trichlorobacter were the most abundant genera in the sulfur reactor during the entire experiment.

Ethanol inhibits the motility of rabbit sphincter of Oddi in vitro

AIM: The role of the sphincter of Oddi (sO) in ethanol (ETOH)-induced pancreatitis is controversial. Our aim was to characterise the effect of ETOH on basal and stimulated sO ***: sOs removed from white rabbits were placed in an organ bath (Krebs solution, pH7.4, 37℃). The effects of 2 mL/L, 4 mL/L, 6 mL/L and 8 mL/L of ETOH on the contractile responses of the sphincter were determined.1 sOs were stimulated with either 0.1μol/L carbachol, 1μol/L erythromycin or 0.1μol/L cholecystokinin (CCK).rEsULTs: ETOH at a dose of 4 mL/L significantly decreased the baseline contractile amplitude from 11.98±0.05 mn to 11.19±0.07 mn. However, no significant changes in the contractile frequency were observed. ETOH (0.6%) significantly decreased both the baseline amplitude and the frequency compared to the control group (10.50±0.01 mn,12.13±0.10 mn and 3.53±0.13 c/min, 5.5±0.13 cycles(c)/min,respectively). Moreover, 0.8% of ETOH resulted in complete relaxation of the sO. Carbachol (0.1μol/L)or erythromycin (1μol/L) stimulated the baseline amplitudes (by 82% and 75%, respectively) and the contractile frequencies (by 150% and 106%, respectively). In the carbachol or en/thromydn-stimulated groups 2-6 mL/L of ETOH significantly inhibited both the amplitude and the frequency. Interestingly,a 4-5 min administration of 6 mL/L ETOH suddenly and completely relaxed the sO. CCK (0.1μol/L) stimulated the baseline amplitude from 12.37±0.05 mn to 27.40±1.82 mn within 1.60±0.24 min. After this peak, the amplitudede creased to 17.17±0.22 mn and remained constant during the experiment. The frequency peaked at 12.8±0.2 c/min,after which the constant frequency was 9.43±0.24 c/min throughout the rest of the experiment. ETOH at a dose of 4 mL/L significantly decreased the amplitude from 16.13±0.23 mn to 14.93±0.19 mn. However, no significant changes in the contractile frequency were observed.
