Efficacy and safety of COVID-19 vaccination in patients with cirrhosis

BACKGROUND The clinical efficacy and safety of vaccination against novel coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)in patients with cirrhosis have not been evaluated *** To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of vaccination against COVID-19 in patients with *** This was a retrospective cohort study of patients with *** first cohort included patients vaccinated with Gam-COVID-Vac(Sputnik V);the second one consisted of unvaccinated *** The study included 89 vaccinated patients and 148 unvaccinated *** were 4 cases of COVID-19 in the vaccinated group and 24 cases in the unvaccinated group(P=0.035).No severe cases of COVID-19 were revealed in the vaccinated group,while there were 12 ones in the unvaccinated group(P=0.012)with 10 deaths detected(P=0.012).The vaccine efficacy was 69.5%(95%confidence interval[CI]:18.5%-94.4%)against symptomatic cases of COVID-19,100%(95%CI:25.1%-100.0%)against severe cases,and 100%(95%CI:1.6%-100.0%)against death associated with *** efficacy of full vaccination with revaccination against symptomatic cases of COVID-19 was 88.3%(95%CI:48.0%-99.6%).The overall mortality rate was higher in the unvaccinated group than in the vaccinated group(17.1%vs 3.0%;P=0.001).Higher Child-Turcotte-Pugh class cirrhosis(hazard ratio[HR]=4.13,95%CI:1.82-9.35)and higher age(HR=1.08,95%CI:1.04-1.15)were independent predictors of overall mortality,while vaccination had a protective effect(HR=0.09,95%CI:0.01-0.76).There was no significant difference in liver-related mortality(P=0.135)or the incidence of liver decompensation(P=0.077),bleeding esophageal varices(P=0.397),and vascular events(P=0.651)between the two groups of *** Vaccination against COVID-19 in patients with cirrhosis is effective and safe.

迄今为止,世界贸易组织几乎囊括了世界上所有的国家。所有发达国家都是世界贸易组织成员,这也推动了其他经济体加入世界贸易组织,因为加入世界贸易组织与该国的经济贸易发展息息相关。加入世界贸易组织意味着世界贸易组织成员国必须无条件遵守世界贸易组织规则,不得采取不利于其他成员国利益的限制性措施。吉尔吉斯斯坦积极加入世界贸易组织确保了国内生产者的生产和自由贸易的发展,同时开放了外商市场,创造了良好的竞争环境。多年来,吉尔吉斯斯坦政府相继出台了几十项新的外贸自由化法律、法规和招商引资政策。此外,吉尔吉斯斯的对外贸易和出口结构在地理上和结构上不断发生变化,并建立了一个安全、透明的贸易体系。1998年12月20日,吉尔吉斯斯坦正式成为世界贸易组织的正式成员。CGE模型计算该国经济的实际和外贸部门的经济指标。该模型可用于评估贸易政策对经济影响,包括发展中国家和转型经济体的区域贸易一体化。这清楚地表明,吉尔吉斯斯坦已成为分区域规模贸易活动的平台。本文致力于从积极和消极两个方面研究吉尔吉斯斯坦加入世贸组织后的影响和经验,并为加入世贸组织的国家提供建议,加速他们经济发展的进程。本文通过描述性统计和实证检验,分析了吉尔吉斯斯坦加入世贸组织后对其经济贸易的影响,从而得出了相关的结论建议。

New Beauveria bassiana Strains from Kyrgyzstan with Endophytic and Insecticidal Activities

Beauveria bassiana (Ascomycota: Cordycipitaceae) is an entomopathogenic fungus used as an ecofriendly insecticide to infect arthropods. B. bassiana also possesses endophytic activity to contribute to plant growth. This study aimed to evaluate the potential insecticidal and endophytic activity of native B. bassiana isolates. The nymphal and adult stages of the apple tree aphid (Aphis pomi) and whitefly (Trialeurodes vaporariorum) were used as targets in bioinsecticidal experiments, and vegetables (beans, tomatoes and cucumbers) were used as targets in biostimulant experiments. The endophytic activity of the B. bassiana strains was assessed after inoculation them to the crop seeds and plants via soil drenching, foliar spraying and seed immersion. In bean plants, seed immersion was the most effective application method. Soil drenching was more effective in the cucumber and tomato plants. The results of in vitro bioassay tests against pests have revealed the LC50 and LT50 values of B. bassiana isolate Col-2. The LC50 of this isolate for A. pomi adults and nymphs was 2.5 × 106 conidia/mL−1;for T. vaporariorum, it was lower 1.8 × 106 conidia/mL−1. Such mortality occurred after 55.49 h. in A. pomi adults and nymphs (LT50), after 62.3 h. in T. vaporariorum (LT50).

Background:Post-Soviet Kyrgyzstan has experienced a major surge in blood-borne infections,but data from adequately powered,up-to-date studies are *** thus examined a)the seroprevalences of hepatitis B virus surface antigen(HBsAg),HIV-1 p24 antigen and antibodies against hepatitis C virus(anti-HCV),human immunodeficiency viruses(anti-HIV-1/2,HIV-1 group O),and Treponema pallidum among blood donors in Kyrgyzstan and assess their distribution according to sex,age,and provinces of residence;b)trends in the respective seroprevalences;and c)co-infection rates among the pathogens ***:Serological screening was performed on 37165 blood donors at the Republican Blood Centre in Bishkek,Kyrgyzstan,between January 2013 and December *** applied poststratification weights to control for sampling bias and used logistic regression analyses to examine the association of seropositivity and co-infections with sex,age,provinces of residence,and year of blood ***:Twenty nine thousand and one hundred forty-five(78%)donors were males and 8020(22%)were *** median age was 27 years(range:18-64).The prevalences of HBsAg,anti-HCV,HIV(p24 Ag and anti-HIV),and *** were 3.6%(95%CI:3.4-3.8%),3.1%(3.0-3.3%),0.78%(0.69-0.87%),and 3.3%(3.1-3.5%),*** were more likely to be seropositive for HBsAg than females(OR:1.63;95%CI:1.40-1.90),but less likely to be seropositive for anti-HCV(0.85;0.74-0.98)and HIV(0.65;0.49-0.85).Prevalences were lower in the capital than in the other *** was a decreasing trend in the seroprevalences of HBsAg,anti-HCV,and *** from 2012 to 2015(P-value for trend,P=0.01,P<0.0001,P<0.0001,respectively),while the seroprevalence of HIV increased(P=0.049).One hundred eighty donors(0.48%)were seropositive for multiple *** highest co-infection rate was observed between *** and HBsAg(6.0%),followed by anti-HCV and ***(5.2%),and HIV and anti-HCV(4.9%).Conclusions

Agent-Based Modeling: An Application to Natural Resource Management

Computer programs have been categorized as a useful tool to evaluate the complexity of systems. In fact, agent-based modeling (ABM) is considered a new method to model complex systems characterized by the role of independent and interrelating agents. Simulations contribute in estimating and comprehending emerging behaviors that require the development of new regulations for local agents that would make improvements to the system. This paper offers an example of a methodology and a process utilized to develop a simulation model named Befergyonet, an ABM used to conduct computer simulations within a spatio-intertemporal environment. The methodology discussed in this paper is intended solely to stimulate the use of innovative computer programs to simulate complex systems as an approach to represent real world events and may be a methodological guide for readers interested in developing their own ABM.

The mercury-antimony-gold ore was subjected of the flotation. As a result of enrichment of ore, the mercury-antimony concentrate with the contents of 51.5% Sb, 3.55% Hg and 6 g/t Au was received. Vacuum distillation of concentrate allocation in serial sublimates mercury and antimony was designed. The big amount gold passed to calcine after vacuum distillation. The gold in calcine roastin uo to 900 ℃was 30.6 e/t.

Physical-Chemical and Pharmacological Research on New Lignin Enterosorbent

The technology on obtaining enterosorbent from local feedstock--hydrolyzed lignin of cotton seed hulls named Zerotox was developed. The purpose of this research is to conduct a complex study on its physical-chemical and pharmacological properties. Samples of cotton hydrolyzed lignin based enterosorbent Zerotox were investigated, wood hydrolyzed lignin based enterosorbent Polifepan （Russia） was used as a comparison drug. The technology of new medical enterosorbent Zerotox, based on cotton hydrolyzed lignin, has been developed with its physical-chemical and pharmacological characteristics being researched. Comparative research on adsorbing capacity of sorbent Zerotox （80 mg/g） and its analogue--Polipefan （55 mg/g）, which is obtained from wood hydrolyzed lignin, has displayed advantages of the new sorbent. IR-spectroscopy research on lignin sorbent Zerotox has shown presence of oxygen-containing functional groups which determine its high absorbing capacity due to its chemisorption. Atomic-adsorptive method has proved high absorbing capacity of the sorbent towards heavy metals ions. Acute and chronic toxicity and antidiarrheal activity of enterosorbent Zerotox have also been studied.

Temperature-Frequency Characteristics of Dielectric Properties of Compositions LDPE + xvol%Bi₂Te₃

In the paper, the results of investigations of temperature and frequency dependences of dielectric permeability and dielectric loss of compositions LDPE + xvol%Bi2Te3 are stated. The investigations were carried out at frequency 10 – 105 Hz and temperature 20°C - 150°C intervals, respectively. It was revealed that increase of percentage of the filler Bi2Te3 in the matrix, reduces to increase of dielectric permeability and dielectric loss of composites LDPE + xvol%Bi2Te3 in connection with the change reducing to Maxwell-Wagner’s volume polarization and emergence of comparative strong inner field in semiconductor clusters.

俄国哥萨克作为俄罗斯历史上一个独特的现象一直备受国内外学者的关注。自1917年至1991年苏联学者关于哥萨克的研究并未因苏维埃政府实施“非哥萨克化”政策、哥萨克作为一个军事阶层的消失而终止。本文基于苏联学者关于哥萨克研究成果统计与分析得出以下结论:苏联学者关于哥萨克的研究以马克思列宁主义理论为指导,成果较为丰富,研究领域主要为哥萨克历史、地区哥萨克历史与文化、革命与战争中的哥萨克等;苏联学者关于哥萨克的研究成果为当代俄罗斯哥萨克研究提供了基础性资料。
