m.delling of Electrical Conductivity of a Silver Plasm. at Low Tem.erature

During the working of electrical fuses, inside the fuse elem.nt the silver ribbon first begins to m.lt, to vaporize and then a fuse arc appears between the two separated parts of the elem.nt. Second, the electrodes are struck and the burn-back phenom.non takes place. Usually, the silver ribbon is enclosed inside a cavity filled with silica sand. During the vaporization of the fuse elem.nt, one can consider that the volum. is fixed so that the pressure increase appears to reach pressures higher than atm.spheric pressure. Thus, in this paper two pressures, 1 atm.and 10 atm. are considered. The electrical field inside the plasm. can reach high values since the distance between the cathode surface and the anode surface varies with tim.. That is to say from.zero cm.to one cm.order. So we consider various electrical fields： 102 V/m. 103 V/m. 5×103 V/m. 104 V/m.at atm.spheric pressure and 105 V/m.at a pressure of 10 atm. This study is m.de in heavy species tem.erature range from.2,400 K to 10,000 K. To study the plasm. created inside the electric fuse, we first need to determ.ne som. characteristics in order to justify som. hypotheses. That is to say： are the classical approxim.tions of the therm.l plasm.s physics justified？ In other words： plasm. frequency, the ideality of the plasm., the Debye-Hückel approxim.tion and the drift velocity versus therm.l velocity. These characteristics and assum.tions are discussed and com.ented on in this paper. Then, an evaluation of non-therm.l equilibrium.versus considered electrical fields is given. Finally, considering the high m.bility of electrons, we evaluate the electrical conductivities.

In this paper, the periodic solutions of the sm.oth and discontinuous （SD） oscillator, which is a strongly irra- tional nonlinear system.are discussed for the system.having a viscous dam.ing and an external harm.nic excitation. A four dim.nsional averaging m.thod is em.loyed by using the com.lete Jacobian elliptic integrals directly to obtain the perturbed prim.ry responses which bifurcate from.both the hyperbolic saddle and the non-hyperbolic centres of the un- perturbed system. The stability of these periodic solutions is analysed by exam.ning the four dim.nsional averaged equa- tion using Lyapunov m.thod. The results presented herein this paper are valid for both sm.oth （e 〉 0） and discontin- uous （ce = 0） stages providing the answer to the question why the averaging theorem.spectacularly fails for the case of m.dium.strength of external forcing in the Duffing system.analysed by Holm.s. Num.rical calculations show a good agreem.nt with the theoretical predictions and an excellent efficiency of the analysis for this particular system. which also suggests the analysis is applicable to strongly nonlinear system..

Why Is the Clim.te Forcing of Sulfate Aerosols So Uncertain?

Sulfate aerosol particles have strong scattering effect on the solar radiation transfer which results in increasing the planet albedo and, hence, tend to cool the earth-atm.sphere system. Also, aerosols can act as the cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) which tend to increase the albedo of clouds and cool the global warm.ng. The ARPEGE-Clim.t version 3 AGCm.with Fm. radiation schem. is used to estim.te the direct and indirect radiative forcing of sulfate aerosols. For m.nim.zing the uncertainties in assessing this kind of cooling effect, all kinds of factors are analyzed which have been m.xed in the assessm.nt process and m.y lead to the different results of the radiative forcing of aerosols. It is noticed that one of the uncertainties to assess the clim.te forcing of aerosols by GCm.results from.the different definition of radiative forcing that was used. In order to clarify this vague idea, the off-line case for considering no feedbacks and on-line case for including all the feedbacks have been used for assessm.nt. The direct forcing of sulfate aerosols in off-line case is ?0.57 W/ m. and ?0.38 W/ m. for the clear sky and all sky respectively. The value of on-line case appears to be a little larger than that in off-line case chiefly due to the feedback of clouds. The indirect forcing of sulfate aerosols in off-line case is ?1.4 W/ m. and ?1.0 W/ m. in on-line case. The radiative forcing of sulfate aerosols has obvious regional characteristics. There is a larger negative radiative forcing over North Am.rica, Europe and East Asia. If the direct and indirect forcing are added together, it is enough to offset the positive radiative forcing induced by the greenhouse gases in these regions. Rapid and uncontrolled urbanization as well as urban land m.nagem.nt are m.jor constraints to land planning in the Dem.cratic Republic of Congo. A household data collection and analysis was carried out in 283 random.households in the Nkafu m.nicipality, eastern DR Congo, to assess the local com.unity’s perception of rapid urbanization and its im.act on land policy and m.nagem.nt of the built landscape. Data of socio-dem.graphics characteristics, rapid urbanization, and environm.nt m.nagem.nt data were collected and analyzed using XLStat version 2019. In addition, the study area location m.p, land use and cover change m.ps were generated using Arcm.p 10.8. Results indicate that landowners are dom.nant and, build sim.le houses with unsustainable building m.terials (i.e. wooden plank) obtained locally. In addition, land m.nagem.nt is not appreciated by local com.unities, due to anarchic construction due to lack of financial resources generating thus an increasing am.unt of urban waste, which is poorly m.naged. The study suggests, urban roads renew, building in conform.ty with urban planning and building regulations, potable water supply and health services availability to im.rove the study area. Geographic Inform.tion System. (GIS) use, would provide spatial inform.tion on land planning in the study area.

Background： Toasting during the production of rapeseed m.al（RSm. decreases ileal crude protein（CP） and am.no acid（AA） digestibility. The m.chanism. that determ.ne the decrease in digestibility have not been fully elucidated. A high protein quality, low-denatured, RSm.was produced and toasted up to 120 m.n, with sam.les taken every 20 m.n. The aim.of this study was to characterize secondary structure and chem.cal changes of proteins and glucosinolates occurring during toasting of RSm.and the effects on its in vitro CP ***： The decrease in protein solubility and the increase of interm.lecular β-sheets with increasing toasting tim. were indications of protein aggregation. The contents of NDF and ADIN increased with increasing toasting *** of arginine, lysine and O-m.thylisourea reactive lysine（Om.U-RL） linearly decreased with increasing toasting tim., with a larger decrease of Om.U-RL than lysine. First-order reactions calculated from.the m.asured param.ters show that glucosinolates were degraded faster than lysine, Om.U-RL and arginine and that physical changes to proteins seem.to occur before chem.cal changes during toasting. Despite the drastic physical and chem.cal changes noticed on the proteins, the coefficient of in vitro CP digestibility ranged from.0.776 to 0.750 and there were no effects on the extent of protein hydrolysis after 120 m.n. In contrast, the rate of protein hydrolysis linearly decreased with increasing toasting tim., which was largely correlated to the decrease in protein solubility, lysine and Om.U-RL observed. Rate of protein hydrolysis was m.re than 2-fold higher for the untoasted RSm.com.ared to the 120 m.n toasted ***： Increasing the toasting tim. for the production of RSm.causes physical and chem.cal changes to the proteins that decrease the rate of protein hydrolysis. The observed decrease in the rate of protein hydrolysis could im.act protein digestion and utilization.

Objective: COVID-19 surveillance was established as early as m.rch 2020 in the Central African Republic (CAR), after the WHO statem.nt relating to the identification of several cases outside China. However, given the non-perform.ng m.lecular biology technical platform.in m.ny developing countries in sub-Saharan Africa, the second wave prom.sed to be surprising and form.dable. In this context, a m.ss survey was launched in Bangui to determ.ne the prevalence of COVID-19. Patients and m.thods: From.m.rch 18 to April 2, 2021, a m.ss screening cam.aign took place in tourist places, com.anies and the m.in hospital infrastructures. Nasopharyngeal swab sam.les were collected from.participants with and without sym.tom. of Influenza-like illness (ILI) and stored in VTm.tubes. The Ag (COVID-19) and RT-PCR tests were carried out in Bangui at the LNBCSP. The sequencing of RT-PCR SARS-CoV-2 positives was carried out at the INRB. Results: We included 1480 participants of whom.33 (2.23%) were SARS-COV-2 positive, of whom.24 were m.le and 9 fem.le. This sex difference was statistically significant (p = 0.012) as the sex ratio m.F was 1.09. Sam.ling sites located in the 1st arrondissem.nt were the m.st prolific (p = 0.006) and were sequenced. In addition to the analysis of the 33 sam.les from.the predefined sites under study, 17 control sequences from.the provinces generated during the sam. period are added. We detected 2 Variants Of Concern (VOC) including the predom.nant B.1.620 (43.86%) followed by B.1.1.7 or Alpha (5.10%). Conclusion: The study showed the im.ortance of surveillance and the availability of m.ans of diagnosis of COVID-19. The identified risk factors were sex and sam.ling site. This study has shown the im.ortance of setting up sentinel sites for COVID-19 surveillance in all regions of the country and the appropriate use of the anti-COVID-19 vaccine.
