The human gut microbiota,a complex and diverse community of microorganisms,plays a crucial role in maintaining overall health by influencing various physio-logical processes,including digestion,immune function,and disease *** balance between beneficial and harmful bacteria is essential for health,with dysbiosis-disruption of this balance-linked to numerous conditions such as metabolic disorders,autoimmune diseases,and *** review highlights key genera such as Enterococcus,Ruminococcus,Bacteroides,Bifidobacterium,Escheri-chia coli,Akkermansia muciniphila,Firmicutes(including Clostridium and Lactoba-cillus),and Roseburia due to their well-established roles in immune regulation and metabolic processes,but other bacteria,including Clostridioides difficile,Salmonella,Helicobacter pylori,and Fusobacterium nucleatum,are also implicated in dysbiosis and various *** bacteria,including Escherichia coli and Bacteroides fragilis,contribute to inflammation and cancer progression by disrupting immune responses and damaging *** potential for microbiota-based therapies,such as probiotics,prebiotics,fecal microbiota transplantation,and dietary inter-ventions,to improve health outcomes is *** research directions in the integration of multi-omics,the impact of diet and lifestyle on microbiota com-position,and advancing microbiota engineering techniques are also *** the gut microbiota’s role in health and disease is essential for for-mulating personalized,efficacious treatments and preventive strategies,thereby enhancing health outcomes and progressing microbiome research.

Twenty short-statured maize inbred lines were collected from CIMMYT India and Mexico through the Plant Breeding Division, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), Gazipur. The experiment was conducted from November 2020 to April 2021 in three different agroecological regions such as BARI, Gazipur, RARS Barisal and RARS Rangpur. Seven inbred lines were selected on the basis of genetic diversity and per se performance and they were crossed separately in a 7 × 7 half diallel fashion, producing 21F1 hybrids in 2019 which were evaluated at three locations. However, variances due to GCA were much higher in magnitude than SCA for all the characters indicating preponderance of additive gene effects on the inheritance of these characters. Two parents viz., P3 (CML33) and P4 (CML41) were good general combiners and two crosses viz., P4 × P5 (CML41 × CML31) and P5 × P7 (CML31 × CML124) expressed significant positive SCA effects coupled with significant positive heterosis for grain yield and for most of the yield contributing characters over the two commercial check varieties BHM 9 and NK40. Four crosses: P1 × P5 (CML116 × CML31), P1 × P6 (CML116 × CML32), P2 × P6 (CML72 × CML32) and P3 × P4 (CML33 × CML41), exhibited significant and negative SCA effects for both plant and ear height which were desirable for short stature. Genotypes x location interaction was also significant for maximum characters, suggesting that genotypes interacted significantly in different environments.

Effects of oblique collisions of the dust acoustic(DA)waves in dusty plasma are studied by considering unmagnetized fully ionized *** plasma consists of inertial warm negatively charged massive dusts,positively charged dusts,superthermal kappa distributed electrons,and isothermal *** extended Poincaré–Lighthill–Kuo(e PLK)method is employed for the drivation of two-sided Korteweg–de Vries(KdV)equations(KdVEs).The Kd V soliton solutions are derived by using the hyperbolic secant *** effects of superthermality index of electrons,temperature ratio of isothermal ion to electron,and the density ratio of isothermal ions to negatively charged massive dusts on nonlinear coefficients are *** effects of oblique collision on amplitude,phase shift,and potential profile of right traveling solitons of DA waves are also *** study reveals that the new nonlinear wave structures are produced in the colliding region due to head-on collision of the two counter propagating DA *** nonlinearity is found to decrease with the increasing density ratio of ion to negative dust in the critical *** phase shifts decrease(increase)with increasing the temperature ratio of ion to electron(κe).The hump(compressive,κeκec)solitons are produced depending on the angle(θ)of oblique collision between the two waves.

The genomic DNA of bacteria is highly compacted in a single or a few bodies known as nucleoids. Here, we have isolated Escherichia coli nucleoid by sucrose density gradient centrifugation. The sedimentation rates, structures as well as pro- tein/DNA composition of isolated nucleoids were then compared under various growth phases. The nucleoid structures were found to undergo changes during the cell growth; i. e., the nucleoid structure in the stationary phase was more tightly com- pacted than that in the exponential phase. In addition to factor for inversion stimulation （Fis）, histone-like nucleoid structuring protein （H-NS）, heat-unstable nucleoid protein （HU） and integration host factor （IHF） here we have identified, three new can- didates of E. coli nucleoid, namely DNA-binding protein from starved cells （Dps）, host factor for phage QJ3 （Hfq） and sup- pressor of taC phenotype A （StpA）. Our results reveal that the major components of exponential phase nucleoid are Fis, HU, H-NS, StpA and Hfq, while Dps occupies more than half of the stationary phase nucleoid. It has been known for a while that Dps is the main nucleoid-associated protein at stationary phase. From these results and the prevailing information, we propose a model for growth phase dependent changes in the structure and protein composition of nucleoid in E. coli.

Head-on collisions among the single-and multi-soliton’s heavy ion acoustic waves(HIAWs) of multi-ion plasma are studied. The plasma consists of adiabatic positively charged inertial heavy ions, Boltzmann energy distributed light ions and kappa energy distributed electrons. The extended poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo(e PLK) method is applied for the derivation of two-sided Korteweg–de Vries(KdV) equations(KdVEs). The KdV single-soliton solutions(KdVSSs) are determined using the hyperbolic secant method and the KdV multi-soliton solutions(KdVMSs)are obtained using the Hirota method. The effects of superthermality of electrons, temperature ratios of electron to light ion and heavy ion to electron, and the density ratio of electron to heavy ion on phase shifts are investigated for the head-on collisions between two-soliton HIAWs. The effects of plasma parameters on angular frequency, phase speed, production of multi-soliton structures, and the head-on collisions among single-, double-, triple-, quadruple-, and quintuplesolitons are also studied.

Atmospheric pressure air/Ar/H_2O gliding arc discharge plasma is produced by a pulsed dc power supply. An optical emission spectroscopic（OES） diagnostic technique is used for the characterization of plasmas and for identifications of OH and O radicals along with other species in the plasmas. The OES diagnostic technique reveals the excitation Tx？≈？5550–9000 K, rotational Tr？≈？1350–2700 K and gas Tg？≈？850–1600 K temperatures, and electron density n？（1.1-1.9） ′101 4 cm^（-3） e under different experimental conditions. The production and destruction of OH and O radicals are investigated as functions of applied voltage and air flow rate. Relative intensities of OH and O radicals indicate that their production rates are increased with increasing Ar content in the gas mixture and applied voltage. nereveals that the higher densities of OH and O radicals are produced in the discharge due to more effective electron impact dissociation of H_2O and O_2 molecules caused by higher kinetic energies as gained by electrons from the enhanced electric field as well as by enhanced n *** productions of OH and O are decreasing with increasing air flow rate due to removal of Joule heat from the discharge region but enhanced air flow rate significantly modifies discharge maintenance properties. Besides, Tgsignificantly reduces with the enhanced air flow rate. This investigation reveals that Ar plays a significant role in the production of OH and O radicals.

Plasma activated water(PAW)was prepared for 10 min to be applied one toﬁve times as a foliar spray to rice plants,to investigate plant growth,yield and the concentrations of total soluble protein and sugar in the rice grains *** results reveal that(1)the plant height,stem diameter,dry weight,chlorophyll and total carotene concentrations were improved by∼15%,∼25%,∼24%,∼47%and∼45%,respectively,with respect to control,(2)defense mechanisms of the plants treated with PAW were improved,(3)concentrations of total soluble protein and sugar were enhanced in the rice grains of PAW treated plants and(4)yield was increased by∼14%.

Interactions of ion acoustic multi-soliton and rogue wave with Bohm quantum potential in degenerate plasma

This work investigates the interactions among solitons and their consequences in the production of rogue waves in an unmagnetized plasmas composing non-relativistic as well as relativistic degenerate electrons and positrons, and inertial non-relativistic helium ions. The extended Poincare′–Lighthill–Kuo（PLK） method is employed to derive the two-sided Korteweg–de Vries（KdV） equations with their corresponding phase shifts. The nonlinear Schrodinger equation（NLSE） is obtained from the modified Kd V（mKdV） equation, which allows one to study the properties of the rogue waves. It is found that the Fermi temperature and quantum mechanical effects become pronounced due to the quantum diffraction of electrons and positrons in the plasmas. The densities and temperatures of the helium ions, degenerate electrons and positrons, and quantum parameters strongly modify the electrostatic ion acoustic resonances and their corresponding phase shifts due to the interactions among solitons and produce rogue waves in the plasma.
