Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC)is a very aggressive disease with a poor prognosis for advanced-stage *** clinical,genomic,and cellular studies have revealed the highly heterogeneous and immunosuppressive nature of *** signifcant advances in multimodal therapeutic interventions,failure to cure and recurrence are common and account for most *** is becoming increasingly apparent that tumor microenvironment(TME)plays a critical role in HNSCC tumorigenesis,promotes the evolution of aggressive tumors and resistance to therapy,and thereby adversely affects the prognosis.A complete understanding of the TME factors,together with the highly complex tumor-stromal interactions,can lead to new therapeutic interventions in ***,different molecular and immune landscapes between HPV^(+ve) and HPV^(-ve)(human papillomavirus)HNSCC tumors offer new opportunities for developing individualized,targeted chemoimmunotherapy(CIT)*** review highlights the current understanding of the complexity between HPV^(+ve) and HPV^(-ve) HNSCC TME and various tumor-stromal cross-talk modulating processes,including epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT),anoikis resistance,angiogenesis,immune surveillance,metastatic niche,therapeutic resistance,and development of an aggressive tumor ***,we summarize the recent developments and the rationale behind CIT strategies and their clinical applications in HPV^(+ve) and HPV^(-ve) HNSCC.

Extracellular vesicles(EVs)are nano-sized,membranous structures secreted into the extracellular *** exhibit diverse sizes,contents,and surface markers and are ubiquitously released from cells under normal and pathological *** serum is a rich source of these EVs,though their isolation from serum proteins and non-EV lipid particles poses *** vesicles transport various cellular components such as proteins,mRNAs,miRNAs,DNA,and lipids across distances,influencing numerous physiological and pathological events,including those within the tumor microenvironment(TME).Their pivotal roles in cellular communication make EVs promising candidates for therapeutic agents,drug delivery systems,and disease *** in cancer diagnostics,EV detection can pave the way for early identification and offers potential as diagnostic ***,various EV subtypes are emerging as targeted drug delivery tools,highlighting their potential clinical *** need for non-invasive biomarkers to monitor biological processes for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes remains *** into the unique composition of EVs could unlock advanced diagnostic and therapeutic avenues in the *** this review,we discuss in detail the roles of EVs across various conditions,including cancers(encompassing head and neck,lung,gastric,breast,and hepatocellular carcinoma),neurodegenerative disorders,diabetes,viral infections,autoimmune and renal diseases,emphasizing the potential advancements in molecular diagnostics and drug delivery.

Colorectal cancer(CRC)is a predominant life-threatening cancer,with liver and peritoneal metastases as the primary causes of *** inflammation,a known CRC risk factor,nurtures a local inflammatory environment enriched with tumor cells,endothelial cells,immune cells,cancer-associated fibroblasts,immunosuppressive cells,and secretory growth *** complex interactions of aberrantly expressed cytokines,chemokines,growth factors,and matrix-remodeling enzymes promote CRC pathogenesis and evoke systemic responses that affect disease *** evidence suggests that these cytokines and chemokines play a role in the progression of CRC through immunosuppression and modulation of the tumor microenvironment,which is partly achieved by the recruitment of immunosuppressive *** cells impart features such as cancer stem cell-like properties,drug resistance,invasion,and formation of the premetastatic niche in distant organs,promoting metastasis and aggressive CRC growth.A deeper understanding of the cytokineand chemokine-mediated signaling networks that link tumor progression and metastasis will provide insights into the mechanistic details of disease aggressiveness and facilitate the development of novel therapeutics for ***,we summarized the current knowledge of cytokine-and chemokine-mediated crosstalk in the inflammatory tumor microenvironment,which drives immunosuppression,resistance to therapeutics,and metastasis during CRC *** also outlined the potential of this crosstalk as a novel therapeutic target for *** major cytokine/chemokine pathways involved in cancer immunotherapy are also discussed in this review.

Ⅴ band photometry of three RS CVn stars,Ⅱ Peg, IM Peg and UX Ari, is carried out to study the physical properties of these variables. We verified the significant and regular optical photometric variability to be present in all three stars. The strong photometric variability and emission of Hα and Ca Ⅱ H ＆ K using high resolution optical spectroscopy with the Hanle Echelle Spectrograph （HESP）, which operates in conjunction with the Himalayan Chandra Telescope, verify the strong chromospheric activity which is present in RS CVn stars. The photometric studies of Ⅱ Peg, UX Ari and IM Peg were subjected to light curve analysis for spot parameters using a two-starspot model.

Effect of the jet production on pseudorapidity, transverse momentum and transverse mass distributions of charged particles produced in pp-collisions at Tevatron energy

We investigate the effects of jet production on the following parameters： pseudorapidity, transverse momentum and transverse mass distributions of secondary charged particles produced in pp-collisions at 1.8 Te V,using the HIJING code. These distributions are analyzed for the whole range and for six selected regions of the polar angle as a function of the different number of jets. The obtained simulation results for these parameters are interpreted and discussed in connection to the increase observed in the multiplicity of secondary charged particles as a result of its multi-jet dependence, and are also discussed in comparison with the experimental results from the CDF Collaboration.

Sustainable Utilization and Economic Development of Some Plant Resources in Northern Pakistan

Overshadowed by the vast impact that habitat loss has on targeted plant species survival, it is easy to overlook the fact that utilization and harvesting of species can often result in their genetic depletion and in an often rapid downward trend of their population status. In this regard an ethnobotanical study on the medicinal plants of Shawar valley, District Swat was conducted with the aims to document medicinal plants and to examine the current status of the medicinal plants trade as well as the market chain starting from collectors to consumers. The survey reported 50 species of plants belonging to 33 families as ethnomedicinally important. These species were used as crud drugs by the local people and folk-lore for treating diseases in traditional system of medicine. The detailed local uses, recipe preparation along with their local names and diseases treated were recorded for each *** survey revealed that the structure of medicinal plant trade is complex and heterogeneous, involving many players. The collectors are often not aware of the high market prices and medicinal values, and most of the collected material is sold to local middlemen at a very low price. There was an increase of 3 to 5 folds in prices from collectors to the national *** were given in the spheres of training sustainable harvesting and post harvesting of wild medicinal plant resources, trade monitoring, equitable sharing of benefits of wild resources, improved control on harvesting and trade for the conservation of resources, enhancement of cultivation efforts, future research into trade in wild harvested plants, community participation in natural resource management and value addition in the herbal products to maximize the benefits.

Enhanced photocatalytic degradation of organic dyes from aqueous environment using neodymium-doped mesoporous layered double hydroxide

Neodymium-doped Zn-Al layered double hydroxide(Nd/Zn-Al LDH) with excellent photocatalytic activity was prepared by a one-step hydrothermal method. The morphology and physicochemical properties of as-synthesized photocatalysts were well analyzed by Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR), X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), photoluminescence(PL), UV-diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(UV-DRS), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)surface analysis. Doping Nd^(3+) into Zn-Al LDH enhances the overall catalytic activity of the nanocomposite, like better electron-hole pair separation, increase in interplanar distance, fast electron transfer, and large surface area. The as-prepared nanocomposite shows excellent degradation of three different dyes under visible light irradiation. The degradation efficiency of these dyes follows the order of Congo red > rose Bengal > fast green. Furthermore, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(LC-MS)was employed to propose a possible photocatalytic degradation pathway for Congo Red and Rose Bengal dyes by Nd/Zn-Al LDH. With the help of radical trapping experiments, it is revealed that during the photoexcitation process, the primary reactive intermediates are hydroxyl radicals.

Co-movement in crypto-currency markets:evidences from wavelet analysis

We study the time varying co-movement patterns of the crypto-currency prices with the help of wavelet-based methods;employing daily bilateral exchange rate of four major crypto-currencies namely Bitcoin,Ethereum,Lite and ***,we identify Bitcoin as potential market leader using Wavelet multiple correlation and Cross ***,Wavelet Local Multiple Correlation for the given cryptocurrency prices are estimated across different *** the results,it is found that that the correlation follows an aperiodic cyclical nature,and the crypto-currency prices are driven by Bitcoin price *** on the results obtained,we suggest that constructing a portfolio based on crypto-currencies may be risky at this point of time as the other crypto-currency prices are mainly driven by Bitcoin prices,and any shocks in the latter is immediately transformed to the former.
