Rhenium separatio. fro. mo.ybdenum in mo.ybdenite minerals and waste leachate has beco.e an emerging *** this challenge,we prepared a set o. pro.ein-based alkylamine/alkylammo.ium salts co.plexes as extractants fo. selective uptake o. rhenium fro. mo.ybdenum,where the pro.ein co.po.ent turned into.the inso.uble amylo.d-like structure when its internal disulfide bo.ds were reduced,namely phase-transitio. *** them,the phase-transited lyso.yme and methyletrio.tyleammo.ium chlo.ide co.plex(PTL-N263)exhibited the mo.t efficient adso.ptio. at the alkaline co.ditio. fo. the electro.tatic interactio. between negatively charged metal io.s with po.itively charged center(R_(4)N^(+))in N263,where negatively charged pro.ein residues hindered the io. exchange o. Cl^(-)in N263 fo. larger size Mo.species(Mo.(7)o.(24)^(6-))than smaller size Re species(Reo.(4-)).The adso.ptio. fo.lo.s the Freundlich mo.el and pseudo.seco.d-o.der kinetics,which exhibits to.level adso.ptio. perfo.mance with a maximum adso.ptio. capacity o. 124 mg/g and a separatio. facto.(β_(Re/Mo.)o. 2.78×10^(3)fo. *** adso.ptio. capacity per unit area(57.2 mg/(g m^(2)))is 1.6–41 times higher than previo.sly repo.ted adso.bents,and the co.t fo. adso.bing 1 g o. Re(VII)is$1.07,indicating its industrial *** adso.ptio. strategy can be applied to.separating Re fro. Mo.in binary so.utio.s and industrial wastewater with o.her co.peting io.s.
