microphysiological systems(mPS)created with human-derived cells and biomaterial scaffolds offer a potential in vitro alternative to in vivo animal *** adoption of three-dimensional mPS models has economic,ethical,regulatory,and scientific implications for the fields of regenerative medicine,metabolism/obesity,oncology,and pharmaceutical drug *** opinion leaders acknowledge that mPS tools are uniquely positioned to aid in the objective to reduce,refine,and eventually replace animal experimentation while improving the accuracy of the finding’s clinical *** tissue has proven to be an accessible and available source of human-derived stromal vascular fraction(SVF)cells,a heterogeneous population available at point of care,and adipose-derived stromal/stem cells,a relatively homogeneous population requiring plastic adherence and culture expansion of the SVF *** adipose-derived stromal/stem cells or SVF cells,in combination with human tissue or synthetic biomaterial scaffolds,can be maintained for extended culture periods as three-dimensional mPS models under angiogenic,stromal,adipogenic,or osteogenic *** review highlights recent literature relating to the versatile use of adipose-derived cells as fundamental components of three-dimensional mPS models for discovery research and *** this context,it compares the merits and limitations of the adipose-derived stromal/stem cells relative to SVF cell models and considers the likely directions that this emerging field of scientific discovery will take in the near future.

Agriculture plays a crucial role in the economy,and there is an increasing global emphasis on automating agri-cultural *** the tremendous increase in population,the demand for food and employment has also increased signiﬁ*** methods traditionally used to meet these requirements are no longer ade-quate,requiring solutions to issues such as excessive herbicide use and the use of chemical *** of technologies such as the Internet of Things,wireless communication,machine learning,artiﬁcial intelligence(AI),and deep learning shows promise in addressing these ***,there is a lack of comprehensive documentation on the application and potential of AI in improving agricultural input efﬁ*** address this gap,a desk research approach was used by utilizing peer-reviewed electronic databases like Pubmed,Scopus,Goo-gle Scholar,Web of Science,and Science Direct for relevant *** of 327 initially identiﬁed articles,180 were deemed pertinent,focusing primarily on AI’s potential in enhancing yield through better management of nutrients,water,and *** into account researchﬁndings worldwide,we found that AI technologies could assist farmers by providing recommendations on the optimal nutrients to enhance soil quality and deter-mine the best time for irrigation or herbicide *** present status of AI-driven automation in agricul-ture holds signiﬁcant promise for optimizing agricultural input utilization and reducing resource waste,particularly in the context of three pillars of crop management,i.e.,nutrient,irrigation,and weed management.

以英国 Hillsborough农业研究所附近的一块 7.9hm2的牧草地为研究区 ,采用地统计的半方差分析和克立格方法研究其空间变异性和空间插值。同时对研究田块的样点根据不同间距、不同形状进行删选 ,对不同布局状况下的结果进行统计比较 ,以获取满足一定精度下的最少采样个数和采样形状。研究结果表明 ,单纯利用样方统计 ,土壤有效钾需要 6 5个采样点 ,大致为原始采样点的一半。而在考虑空间采样形状和空间插值效果 ,再采用最小显著性差异 (L SD)进行比较 ,该田块土壤有效钾采样最好使用规则三角网布点 (样点数为 6 2个 )。

Analytic compartmental models are currently used in mathematical epidemiology to forecast the COVID-19 pandemic evolution and explore the impact of mitigation *** general,such models treat the population as a single entity,losing the social,cultural and economical *** present a network model that uses socio-demographic datasets with the highest available granularity to predict the spread of COVID-19 in the province of *** model is flexible enough to incorporate the effect of containment policies,such as lockdowns or the use of protective masks,and can be easily adapted to future *** follow a stochastic approach that combines a compartmental model with detailed individual microdata from the population census,including social determinants and age-dependent strata,and time-dependent mobility *** show that our model reproduces the dynamical features of the disease across two waves and demonstrates its capability to become a powerful tool for simulating epidemic events.

Parabens are antimicrobial preservatives with extensive applications in cosmetics,toiletries,pharmaceuticals,and *** the legitimate concerns relating to their potential to disrupt multiple endocrine functions,it becomes imperative to prioritize the development of innovative bioanalytical techniques for effectively monitoring their presence in biological *** this study,an efficient solvent bar microextraction(SBmE)was established,utilizing new hydrophobic deep eutectic solvents(DEs)to determine methylparaben and propylparaben in urine and plasma *** DEs comprising menthol and tris(2-ethylhexyl)phosphate(m-TEHP)at various molar ratios were synthesized for the first time to enhance the extraction capacity and promote the eco-friendliness of the DE used as an extraction ***-transform infrared(FT-IR)and proton nuclear magnetic resonance(1H NmR)spectroscopies were employed to confirm and investigate the properties of the successful synthesis(m-TEHP)DE at a molar ratio of 1:*** synthesized DE exhibits low microbial toxicity and can be considered an eco-friendly solvent for ***,quantum-chemical calculations were utilized to predict synthesized DE's structure and interaction energy with selected *** influential operational factors of DE-SBmE on the extraction efficiency(EE%)of both parabens were evaluated using response surface methodology based on central composite design,and a total of 30 extraction tests were conducted to determine the optimal *** optimized DE-SBmE,in combination with HPLC-DAD,exhibited low detection limits(0.54–0.91μg L^(−1)),excellent linearity(R^(2)≥0.9993),precise results(RSDs≤7.6%),satisfactory recoveries(92–97%)and negligible matrix ***,it had remarkable effectiveness and applicability in determining selected parabens in real urine and plasma samples.

Alcohol use disorder （AUD）, mild traumatic brain injury （mTBI）, and posttraumatic stress disorder （PTSD） commonly co-occur （AUD ＋ mTBI ＋ PTSD）. These conditions have overlapping symptoms which are, in part, reflective of overlapping neuropathology. These conditions become problematic because their co-occurrence can exacerbate symptoms. Therefore, treatments must be developed that are inclusive to all three conditions. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation （rTmS） is non-invasive and may be an ideal treatment for co-occurring AUD ＋ mTBI ＋ PTSD. There is accumulating evidence on rTmS as a treatment for people with AUD, mTBI, and PTSD each alone. However, there are no published studies to date on rTmS as a treatment for co-occurring AUD ＋ mTBI ＋ PTSD. This review article advances the knowledge base for rTmS as a treatment for AUD ＋ mTBI ＋ PTSD. This review provides background information about these co-occurring conditions as well as rTmS. The existing literature on rTmS as a treatment for people with AUD, TBI, and PTSD each alone is reviewed. Finally, neurobiological findings in support of a theoretical model are discussed to inform TmS as a treatment for co-occurring AUD ＋ mTBI ＋ PTSD. The peer-reviewed literature was identified by targeted literature searches using Pubmed and supplemented by cross-referencing the bibliographies of relevant review articles. The existing evidence on rTmS as a treatment for these conditions in isolation, coupled with the overlapping neuropathology and symptomology of these conditions, suggests that rTmS may be well suited for the treatment of these conditions together.

Treatment of severe lithium poisoning and dialysis-induced hypophosphatemia with phosphorus-enriched hemodialysis: a case report

Severe lithium intoxication requires intensive and prolonged hemodialysis as a definitive therapeutic measure. Such an aggressive stand is often needed to prevent the post-dialytic rebound in plasma lithium levels as a result of the drug＇s relatively slow equilibration across cellular membranes. Use of a conventional, phosphorus-free, bicarbonate-based dialysis solution in the course of a dialytic treatment may engender hypophosphatemia in these individuals.

Prospective Study of Infrared-Guided Patient Setup for Fractionated Thoracic Radiation

Objective: The standard practice in fractionated radiation of using of visual alignment of tattoos with weekly portal imaging for radiation setup can miss setup errors. We previously reported on the feasibility of using an automated infrared-guided positioning system (iGPS) for daily radiation setup. In this study, we prospectively evaluate whether use of iGPS can improve daily setup errors for patients with thoracic malignancies. methods: multiple external infrared markers were placed on patients undergoing thoracic radiation at the time of simulation. Patients were immobilized using vacuum immobilization bag and wing-board. Patients were aligned for treatment using only the iGPS system. Daily portal images were then taken, and shifts in patient position were recorded. Differences between isocenter position using iGPS versus daily portal imaging were calculated. Results: Data were collected for 698 treatment sessions for 27 patients. We found that in 94.0%, 96.4%, and 93.7% of treatment sessions, isocenter position differed between iGPS and daily portal imaging by ≤5 mm in the left/right(L/R), anterior/posterior(A/P), and superior/inferior(S/I) directions, respectively. Isocenter position differed by 5 - 10 mm in 5.7% (L/R), 3.6% (A/P), and 5.9% (S/I) of treatment sessions, and by >10 mm in 0.3% (L/R), 0.0% (A/P), and 0.4% (S/I) of treatment sessions. Three-dimensional shifts were also calculated, with differences in isocenter position as follows: 94.9% ≤5 mm, 5.1% 5 - 10 mm, and 0.2% >10 mm. This compares favorably to our prior studies. Discussion: Daily treatment setup using an infrared-guided patient positioning system, correlates well with daily portal imaging and may help to improve daily treatment setup for patients with thoracic malignancies.

Protective effect of unilateral vasospasm in the setting of HHH-associated posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome:case report, review of the literature, and treatment considerations
