Two practical methods for highly stereoselective synthesis of (Z)-2-acylamido-4-phenylcrotonates 2a similar to b have been developed. The key step in the first route was how to control the acid-catalyzed isomerization of condensation mixtures of alpha-keto ester 5 with carbomite. In the second route the key step was reduction of oxime 8, derived from alpha-keto ester 5, with iron powder in the presence of acetic anhydride.

Abstract: (4R, 8R,9S)-Camphane[8, 9-b]-1,3,2-oxathioborolidine prepared from (1R,2S.3R)-3-mercapto-camphol with borane was used as catalyst in the enantioselective reduction of aromatic ketones: moderate enantioselectivities with e.e. 7.44%-51 04%have been obtained for aromatic ketones with 20% mol catalyst, 73 .78% e.e for ω-bromo acetophenone with 100% mol catalyst.

Vortex beams have attracted great attention due to their promising applications in the fields of high-capacity optical communication,optical micromanipulation,and quantum information ***,we demonstrate vortex beams with flexible control of the topological charge and modes in a carbon dots random laser for the first *** beams with different types,including the Laguerre-Gaussian(LG),Bessel-Gaussian(BG),LG-superposition,and polarized vortex beams with topological charges up to 50,have been successfully ***,vortex beams can be well realized in carbon dots random lasers with different emission wavelengths covering from 465 to 612 *** work would not only enrich the types of vortex laser,especially for solution-processable lasers,but also provide a new route to realizing multicolor and wavelength-tunable vortex lasers.

Colorectal cancer(CRC)stands among the top prevalent cancers worldwide and holds a prominent position as a major contributor to cancer-related mortality *** in melanoma 2(aiM2),a constituent of the interferoninducible hematopoietic interferon-inducible nuclear antigens with 200 amino acid repeats protein family,contributes to both cancer progression and inflammasome *** this understanding,the precise biological functions and molecular mechanisms governed by aiM2 in CRC remain ***,this study endeavors to assess aiM2’s expression levels,explore its potential antitumor effects,elucidate associated cancer-related processes,and decipher the underlying signaling pathways in *** findings showed a reduced aiM2 expression in most CRC cell *** of aiM2 levels suppressed CRC cell proliferation and migration,altered cell cycle by inhibiting G1/S transition,and induced cell *** research uncovered the participation of P38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(P38MAPK)in aiM2-mediated modulation of CRC cell apoptosis and ***,our achievements distinctly underscored aiM2’s antitumor role in ***2 overexpression inhibited proliferation and migration and induced apoptosis of CRC cells via activating P38MAPK signaling pathway,indicating aiM2 as a prospective and novel therapeutic target for CRC.

The formation of new and functional cardiomyocytes requires a 3-step process:dedifferentiation,proliferation,and redifferentiation,but the critical genes required for efficient dedifferentiation,proliferation,and redifferentiation remain *** our study,a circular trajectory using single-nucleus RNA sequencing of the pericentriolar material 1 positive(PCM1^(+))cardiomyocyte nuclei from hearts 1 and 3 days after surgery-induced myocardial infarction(mi)on postnatal Day 1 was reconstructed and demonstrated that actin remodeling contributed to the dedifferentiation,proliferation,and redifferentiation of cardiomyocytes after *** identified four top actin-remodeling regulators,namely Tmsb4x,Tmsb10,Dmd,and Ctnna3,which we collectively referred to as *** expressed changes of 2D2P,using a polycistronic non-integrating lentivirus driven by Tnnt2(cardiac-specific troponin T)promoters(Tnnt2-2D2P-NIL),efficiently induced transiently proliferative activation and actin remodeling in postnatal Day 7 cardiomyocytes and adult ***,the intramyocardial delivery of Tnnt2-2D2P-NIL resulted in a sustained improvement in cardiac function without ventricular dilatation,thickened septum,or fatal arrhythmia for at least 4 *** conclusion,this study highlights the importance of actin remodeling in cardiac regeneration and provides a foundation for new gene-cocktail-therapy approaches to improve cardiac repair and treat heart failure using a novel transient and cardiomyocyte-specific viral construct.
