Objective: To investigate molecular and serological prevalence of Toxoplasma gondii(***) in pregnant women and sheep in ***: Blood samples collected from healthy 364 pregnant women and 170 sheep were investigated for *** antibodies and parasitemia using highly specific and sensitive surface antigen(TgSAG2) based enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(elISA)and real time-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Results: Overall prevalence of *** was 51.76%, 17.65% in sheep, 33.79%, 11.81%in pregnant women, using elISA and RT-PCR *** differences in *** prevalence were observed on the basis of contact with cats or soil in pregnant women using either RT-PCR or *** pregnant women, a significant increase was detected in aged and those eating under-cooked mutton using simultaneous elISA/***: Consumption of under-cooked infected mutton is an important source of human infection and the combination of the two assays provide accurate and precise data during infection.

A Novel Approach in Hydrogeochemical Exploration for Uranium mineralization:an Example from West Central Sinai,Egypt

Groundwater in contact with ore deposits may acquire a chemical composition that could be used as a guide for exploration. Eight well-water samples are collected from a known uraniummineralized area near Abu Zenima, west central Sinai to examine the applicability of using the hydrogeochemical technique in the search for uranium mineralization in similar arid areas. The analytical chemical data of the ground water is compared with ground radiometric measurements. The obtained results indicate that groundwater affected by uranium mineralization has a specific relativity of major anions expressed essentially as SO_4〉Cl〉HCO_3 and to a lesser extent as Cl〉SO_4〉HCO_3, associated as a rule with low magnesium content. This association constitutes a signature of uranium mineralization on the composition of groundwater in west central Sinai and could be used as an important exploration guide in the search for uranium deposits in similar areas. Anomalies in Ni, Fe, Zn and Cr and other pathfinder elements in groundwater can furnish geochemical guides to uranium ores. The immobile trace element anomalies, including Zn, Ni and Fe are strongly distributed near the orebody; whereas the relatively mobile trace elements, including Co, U, V and Cr, constitute the dispersion haloes away from the orebody. A new hydrogeochemical discrimination diagram is constructed to be used as a quick and cost effective exploration tool in the search for uranium occurrences in environmentally similar arid areas. Based on the obtained results, a new site for uranium occurrence, west of W. Baba, is delineated and recommended for future detailed geological and geochemical surveying.

Formation damage due to fines migration is a major reason for well productivity decline for oil and gas *** fines are small enough to pass through pore throats causing pore plugging and permeability *** factors affect fines migration such as flow rate,salinity,pH value,reservoir temperature and oil polarity,as well as changes in chemical environment induced by Enhanced Oil Recovery(EOR)*** paper focuses on the effect of flow rates on fines detachment from the grain surfaces,which causing permeability *** the fluid inside the reservoir moves towards the wellbore,the fluid velocity increases,when the fluid reaches the critical flow rate these fines can be picked up into the *** fines captured by thinner pore throats causing pore plugging and permeability *** concentrations of nanoparticles were used to fix these fines on their sources and prevent their mobilization at high flow *** unique technique used in this study is changing the potential surfaces between fines and grain surfaces to prevent fines movement above the critical flow ***_(2)and mgO NPs used in this study can be adsorbed on the pore surfaces and reduce the repulsion forces between fines and pore ***_(2) and mgO nanoparticles at different concentrations(0.25,0.50 and 0.75 g/L)were used on treating the Abu-Rawash sandstone reservoir using Formation Damage System Cell *** experimental studies showed that using mgO NPs would prevent fines detachment from the pore surfaces and decrease the reduction of permeability at high flow rates more than SiO_(2) *** optimum concentration of mgO NPs was at 0.5 g/L as the permeability remediation at this concentration reaches to 64.83%.

The implementation of Intelligent Transport System (ITS) technology is expected to significantly improve road safety and traffic efficiency. One of the key components of ITS is precise vehicle positioning. Positioning with decimetre to sub-metre accuracy is a fundamental capability for self-driving, and other automated applications. Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Precise Point Positioning (PPP) is an attractive positioning approach for ITS due to its relatively low-cost and flexibility. However, GNSS PPP is vulnerable to several effects, especially those caused by the challenging urban environments, where the ITS technology is most likely needed. To meet the high integrity requirements of ITS applications, it is necessary to carefully analyse potential faults and failures of PPP and to study relevant integrity monitoring methods. In this paper an overview of vulnerabilities of GNSS PPP is presented to identify the faults that need to be monitored when developing PPP integrity monitoring methods. These vulnerabilities are categorised into different groups according to their impact and error sources to assist integrity fault analysis, which is demonstrated with Failure modes and Effects Analysis (FmEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) methods. The main vulnerabilities are discussed in detail, along with their causes, characteristics, impact on users, and related mitigation methods. In addition, research on integrity monitoring methods used for accounting for the threats and faults in PPP for ITS applications is briefly reviewed. Both system-level (network-end) and user-level (user-end) integrity monitoring approaches for PPP are briefly discussed, focusing on their development and the challenges in urban scenarios. Some open issues, on which further efforts should focus, are also identified.

This paper proposes a new method for control of continuous large-scale systems where the measures and control functions are distributed on calculating members which can be shared with other applications and connected to digital network *** first, the nonlinear large-scale system is described by a Takagi-Sugeno(TS) fuzzy model. After that, by using a fuzzy LyapunovKrasovskii functional, sufficient conditions of asymptotic stability of the behavior of the decentralized networked control system(DNCS),are developed in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LmIs). Finally, to illustrate the proposed approach, a numerical example and simulation results are presented.

This article describes a method of vehicle dynamics estimation for impending rollover detection. We estimate vehicle dynamic states in presence of the road bank angle as a disturbance in the vehicle model using a robust observer. The estimated roll angle and roll rate are used to compute the rollover index which is based on the prediction of the lateral load transfer. In order to anticipate rollover detection, a new method is proposed to compute the time to rollover(TTR) using the load transfer ratio(LTR). The nonlinear model, deduced from the vehicle lateral and roll dynamics, is represented by a Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy model. This representation is used to account for the nonlinearities of lateral cornering forces. The proposed T-S observer is designed with unmeasurable premise variables to cater for non-availability of the slip angles measurement. The proposed approach is evaluated using Car Sim simulator under different driving scenarios. Simulation results show good efficiency of the proposed T-S observer and the rollover detection method.

In the south Eastern Desert of Egypt,two contrasting types of magmatism(mafic and felsic) are recorded in the Wadi Kalalat area,and form the Gabal el motaghiarat and Gabal Batuga intrusions,*** two intrusions post-dates ophiolitic and arc associations represented by serpentinite and metagabbro-diorite,*** mafic intrusion has a basal ultramafic member represented by fresh peridotite,which is followed upward by olivine gabbro and anorthositic or *** mafic intrusion pertains to the Alaskan-type mafic-ultramafic intrusions in the Arabian-Nubian Shield(ANS)being of tholeiitic nature and emplaced in a typical arc *** the other hand,the Gabal Batuga intrusion comprises three varieties of fresh A-type granites of high K-calc alkaline nature,which is peraluminous and garnetbearing in parts.A narrow thermal aureole in the olivine gabbro of the mafic intrusion was developed due to the intrusion of the Batuga *** results in the development of a hornfelsic melagabbro variety in which the composition changed from tholeiitic to a calc-alkaline composition due to the addition of S_(i)O_(2),Al_(2)O_(3),alkalis,lithosphile elements(LILEs) such as Rb(70 ppm) and Y(28 ppm) from the felsic *** the thermal aureole,Rb amounts 2-8 ppm and Y lies in the range elieved that the Gabal Batuga felsic intrusion started to emplace during the waning stage of an arc system,with transition from the pre-collisional(i.e.,arc setting) to post-collisional and within plate *** from which the Gabal Batuga granites were fractionated is high-K calc-alkaline giving rise to a typical post-collisional A-type granite(A_(2)-subtype) indicating an origin from an underplating crustal ***,it is stressed here that the younger granites in the ANS are not exclusively post-collisional and within-plate but most likely they started to develop before closure of the arc *** possible source(s) of mafic magmas

Preparation of PVC/PVP composite polymer membranes via phase inversion process for water treatment purposes

In this work, new composite membranes were successfully prepared via phase inversion technique using polyvinyl chloride(PVC) and polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP) as polymers and tetrahydrofuran(THF) and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone(NmP) as solvents. The prepared membranes have been characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEm), and fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy(FTIR). The scanning electron microscope results prove that the prepared membranes are smooth and their pores are distributed throughout the whole surface and bulk body of the membrane without any visible cracks. The stress–strain mechanical test showed an excellent mechanical behavior enhanced by the presence of PVP in the prepared membranes. The membranes performance results showed that the salt rejection reached 98% with a high flux. This, in turn, makes the prepared membranes can be applied for sea and brackish water treatment through membrane distillation technology.

The Wadi Natash volcanic field(WNVF)in the south of the Eastern Desert of Egypt is a typical example of well-preserved intraplate alkaline magmatism during the Late Cretaceous,i.e.,prior to the Oligo-miocene Red Sea *** compiled stratigraphic sections at two sectors;namely East Gabal Nuqra and West Khashm Natash(WKN)where the volcanic flows are intercalated with the Turonian Abu Agag sandstone with occasional paleosols when volcanic activity is *** mantle xenoliths are encountered in the first sector whereas flows in the second sector are interrupted by trachyte plugs and ring *** a geochemical basis,the maifc melt originating from the lithospheric mantle beneath the WNVF practiced~5%partial melting of phlogopite-bearing garnet *** dominate in the two sectors and highly evolved(silicic)rocks are confined to the WKN *** of ancient Precambrian fractures following the NW-SE and ENE-WSW trends facilitated the ascend of Late Cretaceous mantle-derived alkaline ***,the WNVF developed at the eastern shoulder of the so-called"Kom Ombo-Nuqra-Kharit rift system"that represents a well-defined NW-trending intracontinental rift basin in the southern Eastern *** such a structural setup,the Natash volcanic are confined to half-grabens at the East Gabal Nuqra sector whereas the West Khashm Natash sector is subjected to extensional stresses that propagated *** WNVF is a typical example of fluvial clastics(Turonian)intercalation with rift-related alkaline volcanic rocks in northeast Africa.
