This paper for the first time improved a Robust Multi-Output machine learning regression model for seismic hazard zoning of Turkey, Iraq and Iran using constructed 3-D shear-wave velocity(Vs), seismic tomography dataset model for the crust and uppermost mantle beneath the study area. The focus of this paper’s opportunity is to develop a scientific framework leveraging machine learning that will ultimately provide the rapid and more complete characterization of earthquake properties. This work can be targeted at improving the seismic hazard zones system ability to detect and associate seismic signals, or at estimating other seismic characteristics(crust acceleration and crust energy) while traditionally, methods cannot monitor the earthquakes system. This work has derived some physical equations for extraction of many variables as inputs for our developed machine learning model based on a reliable understanding of the tomography data to physical variables by preparing huge dataset from different physical conditions of crust. We have extracted the velocity values of the shear waves from the original NETCDF file, which contains the S velocity values for every one km of the depths of the crust for the study area from one km down to the uppermost mantle beneath the Middle East. For the first time, this study calculated new seismic hazard parameter called Peak Crust Acceleration(PCA) for seismic hazard analysis by considering the transmitted initial seismic energy through the Earthy wrote in python language ’s crust layers from hypocenter. All machine learning algorithms in this studusing anaconda platform the open-source Individual Edition(Distribution).

Purpose: Combined anterior and posterior ring (APR) fixation is classically performed in Tile B2 and C1 injuries to achieve superior biomechanical stability.However,the posterior ring (PR) is the main weight bearing portion that is responsible for weight transmission from the upper parts of the body to the lower limbs through the sacrum and the linea terminalis.It is hypothesized that isolated PR fixation can achieve comparable radiological and clinical outcomes to APR fixation.Therefore,we conducted this study to compare the two fixation principles in managing Tile B2 and C1 injuries.Methods: Our study included 20 patients with Tile B2 injuries and 20 patients with Tile C1 injuries.This study was a randomized control single-blinded study via computerized random numbers with a 1:1 allocation by using random block method.The study was performed at a level one trauma center.A total of 40 patients with Tile B2 and C1 injuries underwent combined APR or isolated PR fixation (Group A and B,respectively).Matta & Tornetta radiological principles and Majeed pelvic scoring system were used for the assessment of primary outcomes and postoperative complications.Secondary outcomes included operative time,amount of blood loss,intraoperative assessment of reduction,need of another operation,length of hospital stay,ability to weight bear postoperatively and pain control metrics.We used studentt-test to compare the difference in means between two groups,and Chi-square test to compare proportions between two qualitative parameters.We set the confidence interval to 95% and the margin of error accepted to 5%.So,p ≤ 0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results: The mean follow-up duration was 18 months.The operative time (mean difference 0.575 h) and the intraoperative blood loss (mean difference 97.5 mL) were lower in Group B.Also,despite the higher frequency of rami displacement before union in the same group,there were no significant differences in terms of radiological outcome (excellent outcome withOR = 2.357),clinical

Despite its high risk of leading to permanent visual dysfunction,glaucoma remains underdiagnosed in primary care settings.About 11%of glaucoma patients in Saudi Arabia end up with bilateral blindness.This scoping review investigates and presents results on the glaucoma profile,including its prevalence,knowledge,attitude,and practice of Saudi Arabians towards the disease.An online search using four databases through online software(www.***.ai)was performed to extract the relevant articles.Out of 76 records,21 articles were eligible for the analysis.All included studies were published between the years 2014 and 2022.Most studies were in Riyadh city,followed by Jeddah.All participants(n=11388)were adults>18 years old,and male participants were generally higher than females.The findings showed poor knowledge of glaucoma among the general population,while the knowledge among glaucoma patients was acceptable.The attitude was positive,while the compliance and practice were fair.More educational programs about glaucoma,its risk to the eyes,and the overall quality of life are highly recommended.

Malaria is highly prevalent in Nigeria and accounts for approximately 40%of global malaria mortality.However,most reports on severe malaria in Nigeria are from hospital-based studies without accurate information from communities;thus,malaria-related deaths in the community are left untracked.This study aimed to describe the prevalence and pattern of severe malaria in a community in Northwestern Nigeria.A cross-sectional study was conducted among 2–10-year-old children in Sokoto,in August and December 2016,to determine the endemicity of malaria based on Plasmodium falciparum prevalence rate(PfPR2-10)and to describe the disease pattern.Severe malaria was diagnosed according to the World Health Organisation criteria.Data were described using Stata version 15.The prevalence of non-anaemia severe malaria was higher than expected(2.6%),considering the endemicity pattern which was mesoendemic based on a PfPR2-10 of 34.8%.The mean age of children with severe malaria was 3.73 years,and the male—female ratio was 2:1.However,54.0%of the patients had hyperparasitaemia.A relatively high prevalence of non-anaemia severe malaria was found in Wamakko.This finding suggests the need to identify and treat cases in the community using modifications of current strategies,particularly seasonal malaria chemoprophylaxis.

In developed and developing countries, breast cancer is one of the leading forms of cancer affecting women alike. As a consequence of growing lifeexpectancy, increasing urbanization and embracing Western lifestyles, the highprevalence of this cancer is noted in the developed world. This paper aims todevelop a novel model that diagnoses Breast Cancer by using heterogeneous datasets. The model can work as a strong decision support system to help doctors tomake the right decision in diagnosing breast cancer patients. The proposed modelis based on three datasets to develop three sub-models. Each sub-model worksindependently. The final diagnosis decision is taken by the three sub-models independently. The power of the model comes from the diversity checks of patientsand this reduces the risk of wrong diagnosing. The model has been developedby conducting intensive experiments. Several classification algorithms were usedto select the best one in each sub-model. As the final results, the sub-modelaccuracies were 72%, 74% and 97%.

Western Desert represents a major oil and gas province in Egypt producing more than 50%of the country’s oil production.Oil and gas blend occurs in most producing fields,however,the genetic link between gas and liquid hydrocarbon phases are not well-constrained.Obayied sub-basin in the Western Desert where oil and gas phases coexist in the Middle Jurassic sandstones of the Khatatba Formation provides an ideal place to investigate the link between oil and gas generation.Geochemical analyses on rock samples(Rock–Eval pyrolysis,vitrinite reflectance,R_(o))and gases(molecular and isotopic composition)were conducted in order to identify the genetic characteristics of the hydrocarbon phases produced.Maturity-relevant parameters(Rock–Eval T_(max),vitrinite reflectance R_(o))elucidate that only Middle Jurassic Khatatba organofacies capable of generating wet and dry hydrocarbon gases.Additionally,the enrichment of C_(7)normal alkanes,mono-branched alkanes relative to polybranched components in the Obayied gases reflect their generation via cracking of oil.Basin modelling results confirm gas generation through both primary and secondary cracking.However,secondary cracking of liquid hydrocarbon phases is volumetrically more significant.Primary cracking of the Khatatba organofacies likely predate and catalyze the secondary cracking of the liquid phases and therefore the volume of generated gas increases incrementally eastward where both processes coexist.The present study highlights the significant role of secondary cracking in the generation and accumulation of huge gas accumulations in the basins containing oil-prone source intervals.

This research involves the preparation ofa biosensor using silicon oxide for biomedical applications, and its effective use for the detection of target DNA hybridization. An electrochemical DNA biosensor was successfully fabricated by using （3-aminopropyl） tri-ethoxysilane （APTES） as a linker molecule combined with gold nanoparticles （GNPs） on a thermally oxidized 5i02 thin film. The size of the GNPs was calculated by utilizing UV-vis data with an average calculated particle size within the range of 30 - 5 nm, and characterization by transmission electron microscopy （TEM） and atomic force microscopy （AFM）. The GNP-modified SiO2 thin films were electrically characterized through the measurement of capacitance, permittivity and conductivity using a low-cost dielectric analyzer. The capacitance, permittivity and conductivity profiles of the fabricated sensor clearly differentiated DNA immobilization and hybridization.

Could ketamine be the answer to treating treatment-resistant major depressive disorder?

Major depressive disorder(MDD)is a common,serious,debilitating condition affecting 350 million people worldwide,which remains to be unsatisfactorily treated with 53%of patients still complaining of symptoms after completing their courses with the correct dosage.Ketamine,which was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 2019,is a potential treatment option for those recalcitrant cases.The mechanism of ketamine is not fully understood,but as type it is classified as an N-methyl-D-aspartate(NMDA)glutamate receptor antagonist,and can be given intravenously,intranasally and orally.It is used to treat treatment-resistant depression,depression associated with suicidal ideation,mood and anxiety disorders and depressions associated with either type of bipolar disorder.Although ketamine is considered relatively safe,several side effects have been reported with the major ones being psychiatric in the form of worsening mood,anxiety and agitation;psychotomimetic in the form of dissociation,perceptual disturbance and abnormal sensations;cardiovascular in the form of increased blood pressure and increased heart rate;and neurological in the form of headache and dizziness.Ketamine is still not approved worldwide for usage in patients with treatment-resistant MDD,but if it is approved sometime in the future with relatively fewer side effects,it is expected to significantly save millions of dollars spent yearly on patients with treatment-resistant depression and that will lift this major burden off the shoulders of healthcare professionals.This study was designed to measure the effects of ketamine,an NMDA receptor antagonist,on patients with treatment-resistant MDD and to analyse the concept that makes it different and relatively safer than other major antidepressants like selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors,monoamine oxidase inhibitors and TCAs(tricyclic antidepressants).

钻井工程的进行总是伴随着高风险、高成本的问题。据报道,钻柱的不必要振动是钻井人员在现场面临的主要挑战之一。它会导致整体设备故障,导致井筒不稳定,并可能增加成本。预测这种行为仍然是避免在复杂条件下工作的最有效的选择。钻柱振动可分为三种主要类型:横向、轴向和扭转振动。它们的极端情况分别是涡动、跳钻和粘滑。了解这些复杂行为对开发过程的影响,有助于确定其根源并对其进行分析,从而相应地设计适当的减振策略。在本研究中,对带底部钻具组合(BHA)的钻柱进行了有限元分析,以研究钻柱长度、钻头重量、转速和钻井液等参数因素影响下的固有频率和内部共振条件。从流体的物理性质(如流体密度、压力和速度)的角度,讨论了钻柱在真实状态和流固耦合作用下的动态响应,并给出了以下结果。首先,基于连续系统建立了带BHA钻柱的有限元模型。对钻柱的轴向和扭转耦合振动进行了有限元分析,得到了钻柱固有频率的变化以及轴向和扭转模态之间的内共振特征。其次,对所得的数值结果进行了分析,得出了轴向和扭转固有频率之间存在1:1内共振的条件。此外,还研究了一些操作参数对钻柱固有频率、内共振和动态响应特性的影响。结果表明,随着钻柱长度的增加会导致钻柱的固有频率降低,并且轴向的降低率比扭转方向的更明显。当轴向模态的固有频率接近扭转模态时,钻柱内部共振开始发生。只有当钻柱长度足够大时,才会出现1:1内共振的情况。此外导致频率降低是由钻压和钻井液的质量效应引起的。从不同钻压载荷引起的旋转钻柱的动态响应可以看出,在一定程度上增加钻压的大小,会使系统发生破坏。当钻头上的负载较大时,容易产生粘滑、跳钻和偏斜现象。再次,基于流固耦合作用(FSI)方法对流体与钻柱的相互作用进行了模拟,模拟结果表明:增加流体会降低钻柱的固有频率。当轴向频率和扭转频率接近,且钻柱长度足够大时,才会产生1:1的内共振传导。但当加入流体时,由于流体质量的增加,轴向上的固有频率降低较多,这会导致在较小长度的钻柱上也能产生1:1内共振传导。基于该模拟的流体参数分析,发现流体密度的增加导致横向模态的固有频率略有增加,而轴向模态的固有频率略有降低。同时,这种效应在扭转模式下是不可见的。流体速度对钻柱固有频率的影响比流体压力的影响更为显著,所以压力效应可以忽略。最后,这项研究提供了一个有效的策略来研究钻柱的固有频率,并有助于确定一种先进的减控制策略来避免有害振动,从而使钻井系统达到稳定的状态。
