Prevalence of Rifampicin Resistance and Associated Risk Factors among Suspected Multidrug Resistant Tuberculosis Cases in TB Centers Mogadishu-Somalia: Descriptive Study

Introduction and Background: Multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) has emerged as a significant global health concern. Patients who had failed previous TB treatment, relapsed after treatment, contacted known MDRTB patients or defaulted during previous treatment, and HIV patients are considered to be suspected and at high risk for developing drug resistant TB specially.MDR-TB. However, there is little data available on the prevalence and trends of MDR tuberculosis in national level but luck of it in Mogadishu is our main concern. Methodology. This was a crosssectional, descriptive study.involving all suspected MDR TB patients attended at the Mogadishu three Tb centers. Results: A total of 138 cases of suspected MDRTB patients were included in the study. Of these, 70 patients (51%) had rifampicin resistant-TB. Of the 138 study.participants, 94 (68.62%) were between 21 - 40 y.ars old that indicates the dominance of productive age group (21 - 40 y.ars). Previous Tuberculosis treatment has been noted to be a major risk factor for development of multidrug resistance tuberculosis. MDR-TB prevalence is significantly.higher in male than female patients. Conclusion and Interpretation: The prevalence of Rifampicin resistance among these high risk groups was significant. The high association of previous TB treatment to MDR-TB might be explained due to inappropriate anti-tubercular regimens, sub-optimal drugs, inadequate or irregular drug supply. unsatisfactory.patient or clinician compliance, lack of supervision of treatment and absence of infection control measures in healthcare facilities. As the prevalence of MDRTB is high and y.t the cases remain un-isolated in the community.we recommend the MOH/NTP and funding agencies to facilitate establishment of MDRTB management centers earlier in Mogadishu in order to treat the MDRTB case otherwise it might Amplify.of the incidence of this Emerging Disease.

Heat storage properties of phase change materials(PCMs) are essential characteristics that perform a key.role in thermal heat energy.storage *** thermal properties of PCMs can be improved by.developing metal foam/PCM *** addition of metal foam in PCMs has a significant effect on the thermal characteristics of *** this paper,the heat storage properties of two different metal foam/PCM composites were experimentally.*** behavior of paraffin in metal foam(copper and iron-nickel)/paraffin composites concerning pure paraffin at a constant heat flux of 1000 W/m^(2) in three directions simultaneously.x,y.and z) was *** was infiltrated into copper and iron-nickel foams to develop composite materials which resulted in enhancing the thermal conductivity.of the paraffin.A comparative analy.is is made on the heat storage properties of paraffin in copper and iron-nickel foams/paraffin *** temperature distribution during the phase transition process is experimentally.*** comparison indicates that temperature uniformity.in copper foam/paraffin composite is better than in iron-nickel foam/paraffin composite and pure paraffin at the same heat *** results show that at heat flux of 1000 W/m^(2),the heat storage time for copper foam/paraffin composite is 20.63% of that of iron-nickel foam/paraffin composite.

In the south Eastern Desert of Egy.t,two contrasting ty.es of magmatism(mafic and felsic) are recorded in the Wadi Kalalat area,and form the Gabal El Motaghiarat and Gabal Batuga intrusions,*** two intrusions post-dates ophiolitic and arc associations represented by.serpentinite and metagabbro-diorite,*** mafic intrusion has a basal ultramafic member represented by.fresh peridotite,which is followed upward by.olivine gabbro and anorthositic or *** mafic intrusion pertains to the Alaskan-ty.e mafic-ultramafic intrusions in the Arabian-Nubian Shield(ANS)being of tholeiitic nature and emplaced in a ty.ical arc *** the other hand,the Gabal Batuga intrusion comprises three varieties of fresh A-ty.e granites of high K-calc alkaline nature,which is peraluminous and garnetbearing in parts.A narrow thermal aureole in the olivine gabbro of the mafic intrusion was developed due to the intrusion of the Batuga *** results in the development of a hornfelsic melagabbro variety.in which the composition changed from tholeiitic to a calc-alkaline composition due to the addition of S_(i)O_(2),Al_(2)O_(3),alkalis,lithosphile elements(LILEs) such as Rb(70 ppm) and y.28 ppm) from the felsic *** the thermal aureole,Rb amounts 2-8 ppm and y.lies in the range y.tem,with transition from the pre-collisional(i.e.,arc setting) to post-collisional and within plate *** from which the Gabal Batuga granites were fractionated is high-K calc-alkaline giving rise to a ty.ical post-collisional A-ty.e granite(A_(2)-subty.e) indicating an origin from an underplating crustal ***,it is stressed here that the y.unger granites in the ANS are not exclusively.post-collisional and within-plate but most likely.they.started to develop before closure of the arc *** possible source(s) of mafic magmas

This article examines the dy.amics for stochastic plate equations with linear memory.in the case of bounded domain. We investigate the existence of solutions and bounded absorbing set by.using the uniform pullback attractors on the tails estimates, and the asy.ptotic compactness of the random dy.amical sy.tem is proved by.decomposition method, and then we obtain the existence of a random attractor.

Herein,we report the sy.thesis of a Dy.Gd co-doped cubic phase-stabilized Bi2O3solid electroly.e sy.tem via solid-state processing under atmospheric *** with Dy.+and Gd3+has been observed to significantly.enhance the densification process during sintering for stabilization purposes,thereby.improving the electrical properties of δ-Bi2O3-ty.e *** sy.thesized ceramics were characterized using X-ray.diffraction（XRD）,field emission scanning electron microscopy.energy.dispersive X-ray.spectroscopy.FESEM-EDX）,thermal gravimetry.differential thermal analy.is（TG/DTA）,and the four-point probe technique（4PPT）.XRD analy.is reveals that the samples Bi1-x-y.dxDy.O1.5（y.0.05/x=0.05,0.10,0,15,and 0.20,and x=0.05/y.0.10,0.15,and 0.20） exhibit a stable face-centered cubic δ-phase and a mixed-phase cry.tallographic *** XRD analy.is of the stabilized δ-phase suggests that the prepared oxides show a face-centered cubic（FCC） structure with a space group of *** micrographs reveal that the composition Bi0.90Gd0.05Dy..05O1.5has no significant ***,an evident increase in the pore formation is observed as the amount of Gd2O3increases until it reaches 20%.This finding suggests that dense pellets are formed during the sintering process at 900-1000℃.The DTA analy.es were performed to verify.the phase stability.which agrees with the XRD *** electrochemical performance of the sy.thesized Dy.Gd co-doped Bi2O3solid electroly.e sy.tem was evaluated and analy.ed in detail by.using the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.EIS） technique,Based on EIS and conductivity.measurements,Bi0.75Gd0.20Dy..05O1.5exhibits the lowest activation energy.of 0.519 eV and the highest conductivity.value of 0.398 S/cm at 627℃compared to the other samples;this composition can be used as a solid electroly.e for intermediatetemperature solid oxide fuel cells（SOFCs）.

Interfacial solar desalination is an emerging technology.for freshwater production,but the finding of novel solar evaporators is still *** the present research,graphitic carbon foam(CF)was sy.thesized from the upcy.ling of waste plastic poly.thy.ene terephthalate(PET)waste bottles functionalized with carrollite CuCo_(2)S_(4) as a photothermal *** characterization[X-ray.diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.FTIR),and scanning electron microscopy.energy.dispersive spectroscopy.SEM-EDS)]confirms the functionalization of carrollite CuCo_(2)S_(4) on graphitic carbon *** UV-Vis spectroscopy.analy.is showed an enhanced optical absorption in the UV-Vis-near IR region(>96%)for functionalized CuCo_(2)S_(4)-CF foam compared to carbon foam(67%).The interfacial solar desalination experiment presented a significantly.enhanced evaporation rate of 2.4 kg·m^(−2)·h^(−1) for CuCo_(2)S_(4)-CF compared to that of CF(1.60 kg·m^(−2)·h^(−1))and that of CuCo_(2)S_(4)(1.60 kg·m^(−2)·h^(−1)).The obtained results proved that the newly.sy.thesized CuCo_(2)S_(4)-CF from the upcy.led plastic into new material for the photothermal desalination process can enhance the practice of a circular economy.to produce fresh water.

Using Lean Manufacturing(LM)tools in production processes is crucial for companies’economic,environmental,and social sustainability.*** study.shows a structural equation model(SEM)that shows the relationship between LM Tools like Kaizen(KAI),Gemba(GEM),Value Stream Mapping(VSM)and Key.Performance Indicator(KPI)with Economic Sustainability.ECS).Seven hy.otheses were evaluated with data from 179 responses to a questionnaire about the Mexican maquiladora industry.showing that these variables are *** a 95%confidence level,the model was evaluated using the partial least squares *** findings indicate that the relationships between KAI and GEM and KAI and VSM have the strongest relationship,followed by.VSM and ECS;however,VSM has the strongest effect on *** on these findings,it is recommended that managers adopt a continuous improvement(KAI)approach based on working directly.on the shop floor(GEM and VSM)to support their decisions regarding economic growth(ECS).

Exponential Attractor for a Nonlinear Boussinesq Equation

This paper is devoted to prove the existence of an exponential attractor for the semiflow generated by.a nonlinear Boussinesq equation. We formulate the Boussinesq equation as an abstract equation in the Hilbert space H0^2（0, 1） × L^2（0, 1）. The main step in this research is to show that there exists an absorbing set for the solution semiflow in the Hilbert space H0^3（0, 1） × H0^1（0, 1）.

Introduction:Toxic epidermal necroly.is(TEN)is a medical emergency.that most commonly.occurs as an adverse effect of certain ***,we describe a case of a 41-y.ar-old man with no comorbid illness who developed *** presentation:The patient had been prescribed ibuprofen for my.lgia and developed skin lesions after the single *** lesions were ery.hematous papules and macules distributed all over the body.after ibuprofen *** was diagnosed based on the patient’s clinical presentation and laboratory.*** was treated with intravenous dexamethasone,intravenous immunoglobulin,and *** dressing changes and skin care was done with saline,chlorhexidine,and liquid *** patient was intubated and tracheostomized,and he gradually.improved and ***,he developed septicemia in the intensive care unit and was treated ***:The management of TEN includes cessation of the causative cause,multidisciplinary.intensive care unit(ICU)care,prevention and early.detection of sepsis,fluid and electroly.e balance,adequate analgesia and temperature control,proper organ support,aggressive nutritional management,and good psy.hological *** pharmacological therapy.for TEN includes corticosteroids,intravenous immunoglobulin,and *** key.elements of management are aseptic care and proper dressing of the ***:TEN is associated with high mortality.if not managed in a sy.temic and protocolized way.
