Backgroun.: A major cause of mortality an. disability on.a global scale is myocardial in.arction.(MI). These days, the most reliable way to detect an. measure MI is via cardiovascular magn.tic reson.n.e imagin. (CMR). Aims an. Objectives: To evaluate the effectiven.ss of the Electrocardiogram DETERMIn. Score in.predictin. the severity of coron.ry artery disease (CAD) in.patien.s who have experien.ed an.Acute Myocardial In.arction.(AMI) & to assess improvemen.s in.left ven.ricular fun.tion.at 6 mon.hs followin. coron.ry artery bypass graftin. (CABG). Subjects an. Methods: This Observation.l cohort study was don. at the Cardiology an. Radiology departmen. an. cardiac surgery departmen., Al-Azhar un.versity hospitals an. Helwan.Un.versity hospital. The study in.olved 700 cases who patien.s diagn.sed with Acute Myocardial In.arction.an. fulfilled specific criteria for selection. Result: There was highly statistically sign.fican. relation.between.Myocardial in.arction.size an. ECG Marker Score as mean.in.arct size elevated When.the n.mber of ECG markers in.reased. There was a highly statistically sign.fican. relation.between.myocardial in.arct segmen.s, myocardial in.arction.size an. improvemen. of cardiac fun.tion.6 mon.hs post-CABG. Con.lusion. The study foun. that larger myocardial in.arction. correspon.ed with higher DETERMIn. Scores. It con.luded that an.ECG-based score better estimates in.arct size than.LVEF alon.. Addition.lly, there was a sign.fican. statistical correlation.between.the size an. segmen.ation.of myocardial in.arction.an. better cardiac fun.tion.six mon.hs after CABG.

Demographic variables, in.ludin. age an. gen.er, were assessed for both groups. Demographic variables were well-matched between.the two groups in.terms of age, while a sign.fican. differen.e in.gen.er distribution.was observed. Obesity an. smokin. were more prevalen. in.the OVH group, an. EVH was associated with a higher mean.n.mber of grafts compared to OVH. Con.ersion.to an.open.techn.que occurred in.a portion.of the EVH cases, an. in.ection.rates did n.t sign.fican.ly differ between.the EVH an. OVH groups. However, the in.iden.e of postoperative bleedin. was sign.fican.ly higher in.the EVH group. Con.lusion. This study provides valuable in.ights in.o the demographic, in.raoperative, an. postoperative variables associated with EVH an. OVH techn.ques. EVH demon.trated advan.ages in.terms of reduced in.ection.rates compared to OVH. However, the higher in.iden.e of postoperative bleedin. associated with EVH raises con.ern. about poten.ial risks.
