Acceleration of coasting enhances pregnancy rate in ICSI cycles at risk for ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome

Objective To assess the efficacy of adding Gn-releasing hormone antagonist（GnR HA） on the day of hC G triggering in a long luteal protocol without withholding the agonist in women who are at a risk to develop ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome（OHSS）.Methods This was a retrospective cohort study conducted upon 50 women who have elevated serum estradiol（E2） level 〉4 500 ng/L at the day of ovum triggering with hC G on a long agonist luteal protocol of controlled ovarian stimulation（COS）. When an exaggerated ovarian response was observed around day 10 of stimulation, immediately the next morning at 6 a.m. gonadotropin administration was stopped or reduced, and a single dose of ganirelix acetate（antagonist） was given sc continuation of the agonist dose hC G. Another serum E2 measurement was done at 6 p.m.（after 12 h of antagonist） then hC G, sc 250 mg and choriogonadotropin α were administered 14 h later after antagonist and documented the reduction of E2 level. Oocyte retrieval was conducted after 34-36 h of hC G administration. The measured outcomes were the level of E2 on the day of hC G injection, number of oocytes and their quality, pregnancy rate and the occurrence of OHSS and its grade in case it *** The total dose for recombinant fSH was 25.3±6.4 ampoules（75 IU/ampoule） while it was 11.0±3.0 ampoules for the urinary hM G. A higher oocyte maturation rate（82.8%） and a high fertilization rate（87.8%） were observed. The mean endometrial thickness was 10.1±1.0 mm on the day of hC G triggering. The higher fertilization rate with the good endometrial thickness observed resulting in a higher pregnancy rate（78.0%, 39/50） with statistically significant（P〈0.05）. A significant reduction of E2 level was documented by a percentage around 40% before hC Ginjection. There were no reported cases of severe or moderate OHSS, however 13 cases（26%） were reported to have mild OHSS *** Acceleration of coasting in cases of OHSS through treatment with GnR HA

It is desired to increase the rotational speed of the core engine of the turbofan so as to get the best efficiency for the next leap of engine technology. The conventional mechanism in which the front fan is directly connected to the output shaft of a core engine, have a limit of increasing the spool speed, because the fan diameter is very large. The authors have proposed a new driving system in which the front fan is driven through the aerodynamic torque converter. The front fan can work at the best performance at slower speed while the core engine runs more efficiently at higher speed. Continuously, this paper discusses the response of the front fan in the unsteady operation of the core engine, accompanying with the internal flow. The system has the acceptable responsibility in the unsteady operation which is very important for the aircrafts.

Protective compartments are typically used to protect some specific structures from internal explosions,such as industrial buildings that contain devices that may explode in certain *** research investigates how the response of reinforced concrete(RC)compartment structures subjected to internal blast loads are affected by the following aspects:introduction of material nonlinearity in the analysis,reinforcement ratio,and aspect ratio of the *** achieve this goal,a calibrated and sophisticated fE numerical model is introduced,and a parametric study for the intended aspects is carried out.A discussion of the results and conclusions are offered,which show the role of each aspect in the dynamic performance of the compartment *** main conclusions are as follows:introduction of material nonlinearity in this type of analysis and for these structures is very important and significant in obtaining accurate outputs that are similar to actual behavior;the reinforcement ratio has a significant effect on the response and its effect varies depending on the thickness of the compartment;in general,increasing the reinforcement ratio enhances the behavior and reduces the stresses in the compartment;and the aspect ratio of the compartment does not show a clear pattern on the response of such structures under internal blast loads.

The large-scale application of renewable energy power generation technology brings new challenges to the operation of traditional power grids andenergy management on the load side. Microgrid can effectively solve this problemby using its regulation and flexibility, and is considered to be an ideal *** traditional method of computing total transfer capability is difficult due tothe central integration of wind farms. As a result, the differential evolutionextreme learning machine is offered as a data mining approach for extractingoperating rules for the total transfer capability of tie-lines in wind-integratedpower systems. K-medoids clustering under the two-dimensional “wind power-load consumption” feature space is used to define representative operational scenarios initially. Then, using stochastic sampling and repetitive power flow, aknowledge base for total transfer capability operating rule mining is ***, a novel method is used to filter redundant characteristics and find featuresthat are closely associated to the total transfer capability in order to decrease theultra-high dimensionality of operational features. finally, by feeding the trainingdata into the proposed algorithm, the total transfer capability operation rules arederived from the knowledge base. It can be seen that, the proposed algorithmcan optimize the system performance with good accuracy and generality, according to numerical data.

Unified fracture Design(UfD)bridges the gap between practices and theory in the hydraulic fracturing *** represents a technique to design hydraulic fracturing treatment with a particular amount of *** design could provide the maximum fold-of-increase(fOI)in productivity-index(PI)after hydraulic fracturing *** UfD optimization tool is very effective,but it has assumptions like any other *** assumption of UfD optimization technique;is a single-layer *** assumption does not align with the limited entry fracturing design *** limited entry fracturing,the frictional pressure is employed to offset the stress differences between multi-layers reservoirs to attain fluid injection through these layers,intended to deliver an optimal fracture conductivity in all *** drawback of this assumption is the underestimation of the actual value of fOI in *** paper aims to recast the original unified fracture design approach to extend the optimal UfD to a multilayer reservoir to predict the fOI in PI after limited entry fracturing *** recasting tool for this problem to find the optimum solution is Artificial Neural Networks(ANN).The architected ANN model is based on actual historical data of limited entry fracturing treatments.A statistical comparison between the proposed ANN model and classical UfD technique demonstrates that ANN model solution has a more reliable estimation of fOI in PI with the actual historical data.

Glassy behaviour of random field Ising spins on Bethe lattice in external magnetic field

The thermodynamics and the phase diagram of random field Ising model （RfIM） on Bethe lattice are studied by using a replica trick. This lattice is placed in an external magnetic field （B）. A Gaussian distribution of random field （hi） with zero mean and variance （hi2 = H2Rf is considered. The free-energy （f）, the magnetization （M） and the order parameter （q） are investigated for several values of coordination number （z）. The phase diagram shows several interesting behaviours and presents tricritical point at critical temperature Tc = J/k and when HRf = 0 for finite z. The free-energy （f） values increase as T increases for different intensities of random field （HRE） and finite z. The internal energy （U） has a similar behaviour to that obtained from the Monte Carlo simulations. The ground state of magnetization decreases as the intensity of random field HRf increases, The ferromagnetic （fM） paramagnetic （PM） phase boundary is clearly observed only when z →∞. While fM PM-spin glass （SG） phase boundaries are present for finite z. The magnetic susceptibility （X） shows a sharp cusp at Tc in a small random field for finite z and rounded different peaks on increasing HRf.

Glassy phase and thermodynamics for random field Ising model on spherical lattice in magnetic field

Phase diagram and thermodynamic parameters of the random field Ising model （RfIM） on spherical lattice are studied by using mean field theory. This lattice is placed in an external magnetic field （B）. The random field （hi） is assumed to be Gaussian distributed with zero mean and a variance （hi2） = HRf2. The free energy （f）, the magnetization （M） and the order parameter （q） are calculated. The ferromagnetic （fM） spin-glass （SG） phase transition is clearly observed. The critical temperature （Tc） is computed under a critical intensity of random field HRf = V/2/πJ. The phase transition from fM to paramagnetic （PM） occurs at TC = J/k in the absence of magnetic field. The critical temperature decreases as HRf increases in the phase boundary of fM-to-SG. The magnetic susceptibility （X） shows a sharp cusp at TC and the specific heat （C） has a singularity in small random field. The internal energy （U） has a similar behaviour to that obtained from the Monte Carlo simulation.

An energetic nano-fiber composite based on polystyrene and 1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazinane fabricated via electrospinning technique

Electrospinning is a simple technique used to fabricate polymeric nano-fibrous *** nano-fibers have found a wide range of valuable applications in the biomedical ***,it has not been utilized with solid high explosives ***,the electrospinning technique has been used to fabricate polystyrene(PS)/1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazinane(RDX)composite *** governed electrospinning parameters,voltage,distance from the collector,flow rate,mandrel rotating speed,time,and solution concentration,that greatly affect the morphology of the obtained nanofibers were *** fabricated PS/RDX nano-fibers were characterized using scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffractometer(XRD),and fourier Transform Infrared(fTIR)*** impact and friction sensitivities of PS/RDX were also *** thermal behavior of the prepared composite and the pure materials were studied by the thermal gravimetric analysis technique(TGA).SEM results proved the fabrication of PS/RDX fibers in the nano-size via *** spectroscopy confirmed the existence of the characteristic functional groups of both PS and RDX in the composite *** sharp peaks showed the conversion of amorphous PS into crystalline shape via electrospinning and also confirmed the formation of PS/RDX *** PS fibers absorbed the heat and increased the onset decomposition of the pure RDX from 181.5 to 200.7℃in the case of PS/RDX ***,PS/RDX nano-fibers showed the relatively low impact and friction sensitivities of 100 J and 360 N *** results could introduce PS/RDX nanofibrous composite in the field of explosives detection with high levels of safety.

Effect of functionalized Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes with Poly(N-vinyl pyrrolidone-co-2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid) on the Release of Tramadol Hydrochloride

Multi-walled carbon nanotubes （MWCNTs） were grafted with poly（N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone） and with poly（2- acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid） at different compositions by using y-rays technique as initiator. The MWCNTs, MWCNT-graft-PNVP, MWCNT-graft-PAMPS and MWCNTs-graft-P（NVP-co-AMPS） were characterized by fourier transform infra red （fTIR） spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction （XRD）, thermal gravimetric analysis （TGA）, elemental analysis and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy （HR-TEM）. The results indicated that the grafting processes of PNVP, PAMPS and P（NVP-co-AMPS） occurred on to the surfaces of MWCNTs without destroying the framework of MWCNTs. Tramadol hydrochloride （TH） was loaded as model drug and its release behavior was analyzed via various kinetic models. Release of the loaded TH was studied in simulated gastric fluid （SGf, pH = 1.2） and simulated intestinal fluid （SIf, pH = 7.4） at 37 ℃. Controlled release of TH from grafted MWCNTs was investigated. The outcome results suggest that the grafted MWCNTs could be used as a promising matrix candidate for oral drug delivery system by harmonization between the composition and pH level of the simulated biological fluids.

Sequence architecture of a Jurassic ramp succession from Gebel Maghara(North Sinai,Egypt):Implications for eustasy

The Jurassic succession at Gebet Maghara, North Sinai, Egypt, represents a mixed carbonate-siticictastic sequence. Combining information from both fossits and rocks attowed a ptausibte reconstruction of the depositionat environments and of the basin evotution. The Ju- rassic succession of Gebel Maghara was deposited on a ramp, and the architecture of the ramp facies was strongty controtted not onty by sea-revel changes but atso by extensionat tectonics in connection with rifting of the Tethys, North Gondwana. Seven tectonicalty modified thirdorder sequences （DS 1-DS 7） have been recognized. The first three sequences （DS 1-DS 3）, ranging from the Toarcian to the Bajocian, record sea invasion （intertidat to shattow subtida[lconditions） across an intracratonic area as a resutt of eustatic sea-fever changes during a quiescent rift stage. The remaining sequences （DS 4-DS 7） reflect open marine mid to outer ramp settings. Non-marine conditions around the Bajocian-Bathonian boundary, documented by catiche, represent the maximum regression of the sea. During an active extensionat stage, horsts, which formerty acted as barriers separating the Maghara sub-basin from the main ocean, subsided. Subsequent rejuvenation and reactivation of fautts shifted the homoctinat physiography of the ramp to a distatty steepened ramp during the earty Bathonian, creating a 200-m-thick dettaic wedge. SimiLar processes during the earty Kimmeridgian created a catcirudite-catcarenite succession of stope origin. The diversity and the epifaunat/infaunat percentage of the macrofauna disptay a cyctic pattern which coincides more or tess with the sequence stratigraphic architecture.
