Objective:To determine some bio-ecological aspects of malaria vectors in Jask County,where is targeted for malaria elimination in the national ***:Mosquitoes were collected monthly during 2013-2014 using different collection ***,ELISA test was used to detect the human blood index of *** susceptibility status of Anopheles stephensi was evaluated against the diagnostic dosages of seven WHO recommended ***:A total of 3 650 female and 4 736 Anopheles larvae were collected including Anopheles stephensi,Anopheles culicifacies s.l.,Anopheles *** fluviatilis s.l.,Anopheles moghulensis and Anopheles turkhodi *** stephensi was the dominant collected species on human baits and indoors with high rate of unfed and gravid specimens in internal and external window *** blood index was calculated as 14.3%for this *** was also found to be resistant to DDT and ***:The collected species had a wide range of habitats,and resting *** regarding to the presence of most important malaria vectors in *** of the disease may be so complicated;as based on the weather condition it can be transmitted during the whole year,except for cold *** this strong potential of transmission,existing population movements in the area may lead to imported cases of malaria and local outbreak(s).So,more specific studies on malaria vectors in high risk areas of Jask County are recommended.

Objective:To determine both the distribution and the ecological characteristics of sand flies in Golestan Province,northeast of Iran in ***:In this study,34 villages were selected based on their geographical *** paper traps were used for collecting the sand *** was carried out in each of villages from May to *** each village,60 traps for indoors and 60 for outdoors were monthly *** species of all collected sand flies were determined using approved morphological *** coefficient correlation was used to find the relationship between the number of collected Phlebotomus papatasi from different villages and incidence rate of zoonotic cutaneous leishmaniasis as well as the number of positive cases of the *** altitude of the studied villages was extracted from digital elevation model of the area using GIS and vegetation cover density index of the province was extracted from Modis satellite imagery and distribution map of sand flies drown ***:Overall,5 428 sand flies were collected and identified,belonging to 18 *** wenyoni was reported for the first time from the area in this *** frequency of sand flies in the villages located in northeast of the Golestan province(the plateau area,lower altitude,arid and semi-arid climates,and lower vegetation cover density),were more than other villages in this *** was a significant correlation between the number of collected Phlebotomus papatasi and incidence rate of the zoonotic cutaneous leishmaniasis cases in different villages(r=0.837,P=0.019) as well as the number of positive cases of the disease(r=0.688,P<0.001).Conclusions:In the northeaster areas of Golestan Province which is known as the endemic foci of zoonotic cutaneous leishmaniasis,the abundance of sand flies were more and the conditions for their growth and development were more appropriate.

Objective:To evaluate the bioefficacy ofα-cypermethrin impregnated into long lasting insecticide treated nets(LLITNs- INTERCEPTOR?) against main malaria vector,Anopheles stephensi（***）.Methods:The effectiveness of bed net impregnated withα-cypermethrin(INTERCEPTOR?) with washing was *** washing procedure and bioassay tests were carried out according to the WHO-recommended *** vector, *** was exposed to impregnated bed net for three minutes and then mortality measured after 24 h recovery *** was also measured according to the logarithmic times. Results:Result of cone bioassay method showed that bioefficacy ofα-cypermethrin decreased from 100%in unwashed to 15%in 20 ***50 was measure as one minute in one wash and increased to 40 min in 20 ***:Findings of this study provide guideline for malaria vector control authorities and people using pyrethroid-impregnated bed nets.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of vitamin E（VE; 1 500 or 3 000 international units（IU） d^（-1）） and fat（2% of dry matter calcium salt of soybean oil） supplementation during the transition period on feed intake, milk yield and composition and blood metabolites of dairy cows. 48 multiparous Holstein cows were randomly assigned into one of four treatments in a 2×2 factorial arrangement of vitamin E and supplemental dietary fat during the transition period. Treatments were： 1） 1 500 IU d^（-1） vitamin E without fat supplementation（1 500VE-F）; 2） 1 500 IU d^（-1） vitamin E with fat supplement（1 500VE＋F）; 3） 3 000 IU d^（-1） vitamin E without fat supplementation（3 000VE-F）; and 4） 3 000 IU d^（-1） vitamin E with fat supplement（3 000VE＋F）. Dietary treatments were initiated at approximately 28 d before expected calving dates and continued through 28 d postpartum. Dry matter intake（DMI） was unaffected（P〉0.05） by prepartum treatment. Regardless of vitamin E supplementation, DMI was greater（P〈0.01） in fat-supplemented cows compared with un-supplemented cows（19.60 vs. 18.45 kg d^（-1）; SEM=0.42） during the postpartum period. Energy balance and body weight were not affected（P〉0.05） by treatments. Postpartum diets had no significant effect on milk yield or milk composition. Plasma concentrations of non-esterified fatty acids, glucose, and insulin were not affected（P〉0.05） by treatments. Regardless of vitamin E supplementation, plasma β-hydroxybutyrate concentration was greater（P〈0.05） in fat-supplemented cows compared with un-supplemented cows during the postpartum period. These results showed no indication of positive effects on lactation performance associated with vitamin E and dietary fat supplement in transition cows.

Statistical Modeling of Pin Gauge Dimensions of Root of Gas Turbine Blade in Creep Feed Grinding Process

Creep feed grinding is a recently invented process of material handling. It combines high quality of the piece surface, productivity, and the possibility of automatic control. The main objectives of this research is to study the influences of major process parameters and their interactions of creep feed grinding process such as wheel speed, workpiece speed, grinding depth, and dresser speed on the pin gauge dimensions of root of gas turbine blade by design of experiments (DOE). Experimental results are analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and empirical models of pin gauge dimensions of root are developed. The study found that higher wheel speed along with slower workpiece speed, lower grinding depth and higher dresser speed, cause to obtain best conditions for pin gauge dimensions of root.

To study the trend of hepatocellular carcinoma incidence after correcting the misclassification in registering cancer incidence across Iranian provinces in cancer registry data. METHODSIncidence data of hepatocellular carcinoma were extracted from Iranian annual of national cancer registration reports 2004 to 2008. A Bayesian method was implemented to estimate the rate of misclassification in registering cancer incidence in neighboring province. A beta prior is considered for misclassification parameter. Each time two neighboring provinces were selected to be entered in the Bayesian model based on their expected coverage of cancer cases which is reported by medical university of the province. It is assumed that some cancer cases from a province that has an expected coverage of cancer cases lower than 100% are registered in their neighboring facilitate province with more than 100% expected coverage. RESULTSThere is an increase in the rate of hepatocellular carcinoma in Iran. Among total of 30 provinces of Iran, 21 provinces were selected to be entered to the Bayesian model for correcting the existed misclassification. Provinces with more medical facilities of Iran are Tehran (capital of the country), Razavi Khorasan in north-east of Iran, East Azerbaijan in north-west of the country, Isfahan in central part and near to Tehran, Khozestan and Fars in south and Mazandaran in north of the Iran, had an expected coverage more than their expectation. Those provinces had significantly higher rates of hepatocellular carcinoma than their neighboring provinces. In years 2004 to 2008, it was estimated to be on average 34% misclassification between North Khorasan province and Razavi Khorasan, 43% between South Khorasan province and Razavi Khorasan, 47% between Sistan and balochestan province and Razavi Khorasan, 23% between West Azerbaijan province and East Azerbaijan province, 25% between Ardebil province and East Azerbaijan province, 41% between Hormozgan province and Fars prov

Trityl chloride(Ph3CCl) efficiently catalyzes the condensation of 3‐methyl‐1‐phenyl‐1H‐pyrazol‐ 5(4H)‐one and aromatic aldehydes under mild and solvent‐free conditions, affording 4,4'‐(arylmethylene)‐ bis(3‐methyl‐1‐phenyl‐1H‐ pyrazol‐5‐ol)s in high to excellent yields and in short reaction time. The presence of the requisite organocatalytic trityl carbocation(Ph3C+) species was confirmed by analysis of infrared, 1H NMR, and ultra violet spectral data. A plausible mechanism was proposed for the reaction based on the observations and literature precedent.

Objective:To identify the biological forms,sporozoite rate and molecular characterization of the Anopheles stephensi(***)in Hormozgan and Sistan-Baluchistan provinces,the most important malarious areas in ***:Wild live *** samples were collected from different malarious areas in southern *** biological forms were identified based on number of *** characterization of biological forms was verified by analysis of the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I and II(mtDNA-COI/COII).The Plasmodium infection was examined in the wild female specimens by species-specific nested-PCR ***:Results showed that all three biological forms including mysorensis,intermediate and type are present in the study *** investigations revealed no genetic variation between mtDNA COI/COII sequences of the biological forms and no Plasmodium parasites was detected in the collected mosquito ***:Presence of three biological forms with identical sequences showed that the known biological forms belong to a single taxon and the various vectorial capacities reported for these forms are more likely corresponded to other epidemiological factors than to the morphotype of the *** of malaria parasite infection in An,stephensi,the most important vector of malaria,may be partly due to the success and achievement of ongoing active malaria control program in the region.
