Smart irrigation system,also referred as precision irrigation system,is an attractive solution to save the limited water resources as well as to improve crop productivity and quality.In this work,by using Internet of things(IoT),we aim to design a smart irrigation system for olive groves.In such IoT system,a huge number of low-power and low-complexity devices(sensors,actuators)are interconnected.Thus,a great challenge is to satisfy the increasing demands in terms of spectral efficiency.Moreover,securing the IoT system is also a critical challenge,since several types of cybersecurity threats may pose.In this paper,we address these issues through the application of the massive multiple-input multiple-output(M-MIMO)technology.Indeed,M-MIMO is a key technology of the fifth generation(5G)networks and has the potential to improve spectral efficiency as well as the physical layer security.Specifically,by exploiting the available M-MIMO channel degrees of freedom,we propose a physical layer security scheme based on artificial noise(AN)to prevent eavesdropping.Numerical results demonstrate that our proposed scheme outperforms traditional ones in terms of spectral efficiency and secrecy rate.

Smart Agriculture,also known as Agricultural 5.0,is expected to be an integral part of our human lives to reduce the cost of agricultural inputs,increasing productivity and improving the quality of the final product.Indeed,the safety and ongoing maintenance of Smart Agriculture from cyber-attacks are vitally important.To provide more comprehensive protection against potential cyber-attacks,this paper proposes a new deep learning-based intrusion detection system for securing Smart Agriculture.The proposed Intrusion Detection System IDS,namely GMLPIDS,combines the feedforward neural network Multilayer Perceptron(MLP)and the Gaussian Mixture Model(GMM)that can better protect the Smart Agriculture system.GMLP-IDS is evaluated with the CIC-DDoS2019 dataset,which contains various Distributed Denial-of-Service(DDoS)attacks.The paper first uses the Pearson’s correlation coefficient approach to determine the correlation between the CIC-DDoS2019 dataset characteristics and their corresponding class labels.Then,the CIC-DDoS2019 dataset is divided randomly into two parts,i.e.,training and testing.75%of the data is used for training,and 25%is employed for testing.The performance of the newly proposed IDS has been compared to the traditional MLP model in terms of accuracy rating,loss rating,recall,and F1 score.Comparisons are handled on both binary and multi-class classification problems.The results revealed that the proposed GMLP-IDS system achieved more than 99.99%detection accuracy and a loss of 0.02%compared to traditional MLP.Furthermore,evaluation performance demonstrates that the proposed approach covers a more comprehensive range of security properties for Smart Agriculture and can be a promising solution for detecting unknown DDoS attacks.

This article delves into the intricate relationship between big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, shedding light on their fundamental attributes and interdependence. It explores the seamless amalgamation of AI methodologies within cloud computing and big data analytics, encompassing the development of a cloud computing framework built on the robust foundation of the Hadoop platform, enriched by AI learning algorithms. Additionally, it examines the creation of a predictive model empowered by tailored artificial intelligence techniques. Rigorous simulations are conducted to extract valuable insights, facilitating method evaluation and performance assessment, all within the dynamic Hadoop environment, thereby reaffirming the precision of the proposed approach. The results and analysis section reveals compelling findings derived from comprehensive simulations within the Hadoop environment. These outcomes demonstrate the efficacy of the Sport AI Model (SAIM) framework in enhancing the accuracy of sports-related outcome predictions. Through meticulous mathematical analyses and performance assessments, integrating AI with big data emerges as a powerful tool for optimizing decision-making in sports. The discussion section extends the implications of these results, highlighting the potential for SAIM to revolutionize sports forecasting, strategic planning, and performance optimization for players and coaches. The combination of big data, cloud computing, and AI offers a promising avenue for future advancements in sports analytics. This research underscores the synergy between these technologies and paves the way for innovative approaches to sports-related decision-making and performance enhancement.

The subcellular localization of samarium and europium, two rare-earths, increasingly used in both medical and industrial fields, has been studied in several organs such as liver and kidney but never in the mammary gland despite of its importance in the biology of lactation and nutrition domains. The intracellular behaviour of samarium and europium after their intra-peritoneal administration in the lactating mammary gland cells was investigated. The results showed the presence of very electron dense deposits in the glandular epithelial cell lysosomes. These particular lysosomes were never observed in the mammary cell lysosomes of control rats. These intralysosomal deposits were probably composed of insoluble samarium or europium phosphates by analogy with previous studies, the transmission electron microscopy, the ion mass microscopy and the electron probe microanalysis, and other techniques allowing the identification of the chemical structure of the intralysosomal deposits.

The programmed death 1 （PD-1） pathway is a way of inhibiting T-cell proliferation and cytokine production. This pathway is important for maintaining peripheral tolerance. Different mechanisms and cytokines are involved in this pathway. Herein, we show the contribution of endogenous TGF-β to increasing PD-1 expression after T cell receptor （TCR） activation.

Antioxidant and ɑ-glucosidase activities and phytochemical constituents of Chrysanthoglossum trifurcatum(Desf.)

Objective: To investigate the antioxidant and ɑ-glucosidase properties and phytochemical constituents of roots, stems, leaves and flowers extracts and aerial parts oil of Chrysanthoglossum trifurcatum(Desf.)(C. trifurcatum). Methods: For extraction from roots, stems, leaves and flowers of C. trifurcatum, methanol, ethyl acetate and petroleum ether solvents were used. Phenols, flavonoids, flavonols and tannins contents were evaluated. More, C. trifurcatum aerial parts oil composition was determined using chromatography/mass spectrometry. The antioxidant effect was estimated by DPPH, ABTS and reducing power test systems. The ɑ-glucosidase inhibition was determined by colorimetric assay using the enzyme from Aspergillus niger and the p-nitrophenyl glucopyranoside(pNPG) as substrate. Results: The highest amounts of polyphenols, flavonoids, flavonols and tannins were shown by the methanolic extract of leaves. The main components of the aerial parts oil were limonene(29.21%), γ-terpinene(12.96%), 4-terpenyl acetate(12.18%) and ɑ-pinene(5.76%). The activity evaluated by DPPH, ABTS and reducing power tests was important for stems(IC_(50)=0.68 mg/mL) and flowers(IC_(50)=0.67 mg/mL) methanolic extracts and essential oil(IC_(50)=0.72 mg/mL). Findings of ɑ-glucosidase activity revealed that petroleum ether extracts of leaves and roots together with aerial parts oil showed a highest activity with IC_(50) of 0.044, 0.045 and 0.049 mg/m L, respectively. Conclusions: Observed antioxidant and ɑ-glucosidase activities of oil and extracts are attributed to the presence of the active phytochemicals in C. trifurcatum organs. Thus, the C. trifurcatum can be used as a source of antioxidant compounds and dietary supplement to treat patients with type 2 diabetes.

Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease(VKH)is a rare,multisystem disease of melanocyte-containing organs.It is characterized by diffuse,granulomatous inflammation involving various organs.It has been reported to occur in association with other autoimmune disorders.We report the case of a female patient who was diagnosed with VKH at the age of 4 years and who was treated with corticosteroids until the age of 16.Twenty years later,Crohn’s disease was diagnosed,with a severe flare-up.Three cases of VKH associated with ulcerative colitis have previously been reported anecdotally but,to our knowledge,this is the first case occurring in association to Crohn’s disease.

BACKGROUND:Acinar cell carcinoma (ACC) is a rare malignancy of the pancreas arising from acinar cells.Unlike ductal adenocarcinoma,this tumor rarely presents with pancreatitis.METHODS:We present a case of ACC associated with chronic calcifying pancreatitis,and a review of the literature focusing on diagnosis and management.RESULTS:A 43-year-old man was proposed for Wirsungojejunal derivation for chronic pancreatitis.Histopathological examination of the tissue extracted revealed an ACC.Duodenopancreatectomy was performed.Six months postoperatively,the patient developed hepatic metastasis and was treated with gemcitabine as palliative chemotherapy.CONCLUSIONS:The clinical presentation of ACC of the pancreas is not specific and the tumor can be underdiagnosed when associated with chronic pancreatitis.Data regarding course,treatment,and prognosis of this tumor are generally lacking.
