In this work, surface activation of automotive polymers using atmospheric pressure plasmas was investigated. The aim was to increase the polar fraction of the surface energy of both plane and convex polymer devices with a radius in the range of 30 mm. For this purpose, a fittable low temperature atmospheric pressure plasma source based on capacitively coupled multi-pin electrodes was set up and applied. Each single electrode generates a treatment spot of approximately 2 cm2 with a tunable power density of up to 1.4 W/cm2. The surface energy was evaluated by contact angle measurements. After treatment at a low energy density of 1.01 J/cm2, the polar fraction of the surface energy of the investigated polymers was increased by a factor of 3.3 to 132, depending on the polymer materials. It was shown that by applying the presented fittable plasma source, this effect is independent of the surface radius of the polymer sample.

In this paper,an absorption spectroscopy measurement method was applied on two atmospheric pressure plasma sources to determine their production of nitric *** concentrations are essential for evaluating the plasma sources based on the principle of the Dielectric Barrier Discharge（DBD）for applications in plasma *** described method is based on a setup with an electrodeless discharge lamp filled with a mixture of oxygen and *** of the emitted wavelengths is an important resonance wavelength of nitric oxide（λ = 226.2 nm）.By comparing the absorption behaviour at the minimum and maximum of the spectral absorption cross section of nitric oxide around that wavelength,and measuring the change in intensity by the absorbing plasma,the concentration of nitric oxide inside the plasma can be *** produced nitric oxide concentrations depend on the pulse duration and are in the range of 180 ppm to 1400 ppm,so that a distance of about 10 cm to the respiratory tract is enough to conform to the VDI Guideline 2310.

Objective: To investigate TRPC 3 expression in left atria of spontaneous hypertensive rats. Method: 6 WKY rats were used as control group, 24 spontaneous hypertensive rats aged 16 weeks were divided in 4 groups, a group of spontaneous hypertensive rats, a group which received ramipril 5mg/kg/d, a group which received valsartan 30mg/kg/d and a group which received amlodipine 5mg/kg/d, each for duration of 4 weeks. Caudal systolic blood pressure and body weight were recorded each day. Expression of TRPC 3 was assessed with RT-PCR. The data are presented as the mean±SD and compared using paired samples T-test. Significance is determined at the p＜0.05 level. Result and conclusion: （1）. Significant increase of TRPC 3 expression of atria was highly related with increase of blood pressure （209.8717±0.99292 vs 0, p-value＜ 0.05）. （2）. Ramipril, valsartan and amlodipine （185.3983±12.91843, 134.2433±12.91843, 178.455±10.16149 vs 209.8717±0.99292, p-value＜0.05） showed to attenuate the density of TRPC 3 expression related to lowering blood pressure compare to SHR group. （3）. TRPC 6 wasn’t expressed in atria muscle either in WKY rats or in four months of SHR. Our findings support the idea that TRPC 3 has a role in atria of hypertensive heart disease.

Halomethoxybenzenes(HMBs)are a group of compounds with natural and anthropogenic *** we extend a 2002e2015 survey of bromoanisoles(BAs)in the air and precipitation at Rå€o on the Swedish west coast and Pallas in Subarctic *** BAs data are reported for 2018 and 2019 and chlorinated HMBs are included for these and some previous years:drosophilin A methyl ether(DAME:1,2,4,5-tetrachloro-3,6-dimethoxybenzene),tetrachloroveratrole(TeCV:1,2,3,4-tetrachloro-5,6-dimethoxybenzene),and pentachloroanisole(PeCA).The order of abundance of HMBs at Råo was SBAs>DAME>TeCV>PeCA,whereas at Pallas the order of abundance was DAME>SBAs>TeCA>*** lower abundance of BAs at Pallas reflects its inland location,away from direct marine ***-Clapeyron(CC)plots of log partial pressure(Pair)/Pa versus 1/T suggested distant transport at both sites for PeCA and local exchange for DAME and *** were dominated by distant transport at Pallas and by both local and distant sources at Rå€*** between air and precipitation concentrations were examined by scavenging ratios,SR=(ng m^(-3))precip/(ng m^(-3))*** were higher at Pallas than Rå€o due to greater Henry's law partitioning of gaseous compounds into precipitation at colder *** is produced by terrestrial *** screened 19 fungal species from Swedish forests and found seven of them contained 0.01e3.8 mg DAME per kg fresh *** suggest that the volatilization of DAME from fungi and forest litter containing fungal mycelia may contribute to atmospheric levels at both sites.

I present some preliminary results on how the classroom narratives in chemistry are interconnected to the teachers life histories and why chemistry teachers use narratives. The results are based on two rounds of interviews with Swedish chemistry teachers in upper secondary school. Tentative results suggested that these teachers used narratives as a tool for teaching and to promote learning, although in different ways. It is suggested that we understand concepts better if we are introduced to them in narrative discourse. Using narratives also seems to promote a plurality of emphases in teaching.

The expectations of a successful outcome during childbirth are high for all of the parties concerned. The overall objective of prenatal care and birth care is that midwives contribute to create the most positive experience for the expectant parents concerning their pregnancy, the actual childbirth and the child’s infancy. During the past thirty years, there has been a significant increase in Caesarean section frequency both in Sweden and in the rest of the Western World. More parents feel an overall insecurity when it comes to the labor phase leading up to childbirth. The purpose of this study was to describe how midwives experience their work of creating a sense of security and providing good nursing care when meeting with the expectant parents. A phenomenological approach was implemented using eleven qualitative interviews and these were analyzed with Giorgis’ method of analysis. The results of this analysis revealed three themes: organizational-professional conditions, the communicative ability of the midwives and their reflective-emotional competence. The ability of the midwives to trust their inner sensibility and intuition was something that was characteristic of all the interviews and consequently this was the essence of the results. Managements’ organization of the workload and how management utilized competent and experienced midwives affected the midwives’ ability to contribute to a sense of security and provide competent nursing care for expectant parents. When the communication was based on sensibility and compassion, the midwives’ were enabled to create a sound and trusting relationship between themselves, the MVC and with the expectant parents. The emotional involvement on the part of the midwives was an essential requirement for carrying out the work in a satisfactory manner.
